“Religion of Peace” Marriage Proposal of the Week

By
In addition to all of the death threats and other hate-mail I receive from Muslims around the world–many in the U.S. where they are so “moderate” and “different” from other Muslims–I also get e-mails from apparently bipolar Muslims who hate me but, yet, want to marry me (perhaps to “teach” me my “place”). Here’s the latest one:

From: Roumieh Fayez fayez_roumieh@hotmail.com
Date: Mar 17, 2007 12:57 AM
Subject: Islam?
To: writedebbie@gmail.com
Hi Debbi

I read some of your comments on your site and saw your picture. You are such a chick, so why you make yourself headache and talk about religion and Islam?
Yes, Islam is a feminist religion, if you don’t believe that, ask as many muslim women as possible about it. Do not content of your stereotypes on Islam and muslims.
You remind me of a Swiss firend who, like you, hates Islam. Guess why? Because her boyfired, a practising Anglican, told her that Islam is an evil religion. But, after 9/11, she did a U turn and started to look with her mind at Islam, and ended up with abanduning what she had about it.
Now Debbi, you so pretty, and I am willing to marry you, because I saw in your eyes that you are not that bad person. I saw, you are naive. Sorry. This is the true, and by marrying me you will get and closer look on Islam.
I am so serious
Your reply is highly appreciated
Fayez

Fayez:
Thanks, but no thanks. I’ve had quite a close look–actually, way too many close looks–at Islam, without the necessity of entering into a hopeless, life-ending arrangement. I am quite confident that your religion is as “feminist” as it is “peaceful.”
Regards,
Debbie

Brokeback Stadium: Gay Marriage v. Tax-Funded Sports Arena for Billionaires

By
I’ve always opposed public funding for sports stadiums, arenas, etc. Neither you nor I get the public to fund and build our office building. So, why should billionaires get that for their millionaire employees to work and play in extreme luxury? And beside that, by its very definition, public funding for these facilities is always a spending and tax increase. If a team can’t afford a new arena, then neither can taxpayers.
Sports teams do not bring an increase in good-paying jobs. Their jobs, in fact, pay far below market wages–because of the psychological lure that brings up demand for sports-related jobs at any wage. And many jobs associated with sports teams are seasonal–such as food vendors and security, who are soon on the unemployment lines and the taxpayer dole.

But that didn’t seem to bother Seattle. It looked like the Seattle NBA Team, the SuperSonics, was going to get a $300 million tax subsidy to build a new arena. Until–Until it was disclosed that two out-of-state minority owners of the Supersonics–HORRORS!–gave $1 million to a group fighting gay marriage. Tom Ward and Aubrey McClendon, Oklahoma oil and gas execs who each hold a 20% stake in the team, gave more than $1 million to Americans United to Preserve Marriage, run by conservative Gary Bauer.
Now, suddenly, liberal Washington State legislators–who should be against any tax subsidies for sports teams–are opposing subsidies for the stadium on the grounds of the donations to oppose gay marriage. They’re being called “homophobes” (while an openly gay Oklahoma officeholder says they aren’t because they gave money to his campaign). That’s absurd.
The fact that these men have $1 million to give to any political cause tells me that they have $1 million they could have given to build a new building for their basketball team, which should not be funded by taxpayers.
But whether or not it’s to oppose gay marriage should be irrelevant. And it’s a due process and equal protection concern, too.

Barack Hussein Obama Practiced Islam, Now Runs From It w/ Warp Speed

By
Like I said before: . If Obama is really no longer a Muslim, why does he keep lying about it, instead of copping to it and then disowning it?
The Barack Hussein Obama cover-up of his Muslim past continues. But so do the ever widening cracks in the cover-up. Thanks to the many readers who sent me this article from Thursday’s L.A. Times on Obama’s mosque worship:

As a boy in Indonesia, Barack Obama crisscrossed the religious divide. . . . In the neighborhood mosque, he bowed to Allah. . . .
No one knows how voters will react to a candidate with an early exposure to Islam, a religion that remains foreign to many Americans.

Obama’s campaign aides have emphasized his strong Christian beliefs and downplayed any Islamic connection. The candidate was raised “in a secular household in Indonesia by his stepfather and mother,” his chief spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said in a statement in January after false reports began circulating that Obama had attended a radical madrasa, or Koranic school, as a child.
“To be clear, Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ in Chicago,” Gibbs’ Jan. 24 statement said. In a statement to The Times on Wednesday, the campaign offered slightly different wording, saying: “Obama has never been a practicing Muslim.” The statement added that as a child, Obama had spent time in the neighborhood’s Islamic center.
His former Roman Catholic and Muslim teachers, along with two people who were identified by Obama’s grade-school teacher as childhood friends, say Obama was registered by his family as a Muslim at both of the schools he attended.
That registration meant that during the third and fourth grades, Obama learned about Islam for two hours each week in religion class.
The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque. “We prayed but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque. But as kids, we loved to meet our friends and went to the mosque together and played,” said Zulfin Adi, who describes himself as among Obama’s closest childhood friends.
The campaign’s national press secretary, Bill Burton, said Wednesday that the friends were recalling events “that are 40 years old and subject to four decades of other information.” Obama’s younger sister, Maya Soetoro, said in a statement released by the campaign that the family attended the mosque only “for big communal events,” not every Friday.

The most hilarious thing about all of this is the speed with which Barack Hussein Obama and his staff are running from Islam, and the lies and spin they keep trying to attach to what is, in fact, true. He was a Muslim. He was educated as a Muslim. He was a practicing Muslim.
Why won’t he admit it? And now disown it? And since he won’t do those things, would you trust him?
If so, I have some land under a bridge to sell you. But, don’t worry, it’s not in Indonesia or next to a mosque.
I warned about this in December and was roundly attacked by far leftist nutjobs and even some misguided conservatives wanting attention and yearning for the world to love them for their “tolerance” a/k/a stupidity.
If only they knew a good recipe for Crow. They could sup at a giant buffet.

When Rosie Fans a/k/a 9/11 “Truthers” Attack: Schlussel E-mail Hijacked; Threats of Site Shutdown

By
Rush Limbaugh was right. On Friday, he said the 9/11 conspiracy theorists (including Rosie O’Donnell) are mentally ill and in need of psychiatric help (something I also wrote, late Thursday Night).
I thought the looniest e-mailers were the many Muslims who send me all kinds of nuttiness, vitriol, and grammatical dysfunction. But I was wrong. They’re still the nuttiest. But it’s a tie . . . with their allies, the 9/11 “Truthers,” the conspiracy theorists who think that the U.S. government and/or Jews were behind the 9/11 attacks, instead of the Bin Ladenite Muslims who actually perpetrated them.
Ever since I posted items, Thursday, against , as well as , I’ve been getting tons of hate-mail like this from the rest of her conspiracy hoard. I wonder how she likes being in a lunatic club of anti-Semitic bigots:

hello Debbie
what I’d like to know is, whatare you hoping to achieve now that you blasted a 9/11 truth seeker?
I mean seriously…do you want us to take your website offline? I believe that if you are smart, which you claim to be, you should simply be impartial to the story…and let your audience be the judge.
I would hate to find out that Bush had something to do with the nazis…and with the 9/11 attacks. I wonder what the invetigation results will be. Yes there is an undercover investigation that you just found out about. The information gathered so far … is well deceiving. And I think that you are on the wrong side of the fence.
Regards,
Survival of the fittest

And the 9/11 “Truthers” have hijacked my g-mail e-mail account by sending out 9/11 conspiracy theory BS to other conservative websites and to Islamist media outlets, like Al-Arabiya. If you receive this kind of baloney from this e-mail account of mine, please know that it is NOT from me. I know who was behind the 9/11 attacks: Bin Laden and other Muslims, with likely help from the government of Iran (9/11 Commission Report) and assorted others of the “Religion of Peace.”
And now I know this–we have a new epidemic of mental disease in America. I’m glad, at least, O’Donnell admitted she was mentally ill (though her upside down yoga swing maneuver isn’t helping). Time for the other third to half of Americans that believe this bizarre conspiracy theory stuff to get help. And get back on their medications.

Will Denning McTague Get the Sandy Burglar Treatment?

By
Denning McTague, an intern with the National Archives, stole about 165 Civil War documents, including the War Department’s announcement of President Lincoln’s death and sold most of them on eBay.
He was rightfully charged with the thefts and is being prosecuted.
Juxtapose his situation with that of Clinton National Security Advisor Sandy Berger–or as Rush Limbaugh likes to call him, “Sandy Burglar.” As we all know, Berger stole countless documents from the National Archives.

Will Denning McTague Get Sweet Deal,

Like Clinton Friend Sandy Berger (with a Dubai “Patron”)

What we don’t know is how many documents he stole and whether or not they’ve all been recovered. And we’ll never know, because Berger has never taken a lie detector test, nor has he given the full details of what he stole and what he returned. We’ll never know what he stuffed down his pants and whether it was destroyed or its whereabouts. We do know that Berger did, in fact, shred some of the documents with scissors. He admitted to intentionally destroying at least one document.
And we know Berger’s motive, which unlike McTague, was not mere theft to get a few bucks on eBay. It was to “massage” a positive image of his role in the days before 9/11, when he–not the Bushies–was in charge of dealing with the Al-Qaeda threat, but didn’t do the job.
On the other hand, Denning McTague has helped officials recover most of the missing items. He plans to plead guilty.
Sandy Berger pleaded guilty. But he got a sweet deal. He got to plead to a misdemeanor instead of felonies, paid a fine of $10,000, and was merely suspend his national-security clearance for three years, with the possibility of a renewed clearance right after that.
So, will Denning McTague get a sweet deal like Sandy Berger? Will Denning McTague get the Sandy Burglar treatment?
Not likely. Because life is different for you when you are an FoB (Friend of Bill [Clinton]).
Unlike FoB Sandy Berger, Denning McTague faces a year in federal prison.

A Primer for Terrorists & Illegal Aliens

By
Two news stories, today, show why it’s so easy for terrorists and illegal aliens to set up shop here and get away with it.
First, there are the two retired IRS agents, Michael McDonald and Steven Smith. They formed an anonymous corporation and wired funds overseas with no identifying trail for law enforcement authorities. That’s what a lot of well-known terror suspects have done and easily laundered money. And, well past 9/11, we’ve done nothing to tighten our laws. It cost the agents only $4,000 and one month’s time to form a scecret company, and wire funds to and from an offshore bank with no traceability. From USA Today:

What does it take to create secretive U.S. companies capable of wiring funds to and from an offshore bank with virtually no identifying trail for law enforcement authorities? About one month and $4,000.

Demonstrating how easily tax evaders, money launderers or terrorists can hide behind secretive domestic firms, two retired IRS agents formed anonymously owned companies in Florida, New York and Panama, then wired money among the firms’ bank accounts.
“Our point is to show the world how easy it is ‚Ķ to move money in and out, using U.S. companies, without a trace,” said Charles Intriago, a former federal prosecutor. “This is a glaring problem.”
His firm, Alert Global Media, began the research project at the start of 2006 for presentation at a money-laundering conference set to open today in Florida. . . .
The retired IRS investigators, Michael McDonald and Steven Smith, turned to the mini-industry to launch the demonstration. First, they contacted one of many Nevada firms that specialize in forming secretive business entities.
The agents said the firm, which they declined to name, registered Greenlink Ventures in New York and Franklin Grant & Associates Management in Florida. The firm also advised using Internet banks for corporate accounts, they said.
Smith used his real name throughout the process and obeyed all laws. However, by using the Nevada firm, he was able to create the firms and get an IRS identification number without giving his Social Security number.
Smith provided the name Bange Mason – named for Intriago’s family dog ‚Äî when required to list an alternate company contact in case of an emergency.
“There’s nothing on any of these companies that’s public where you will find my name,” said Smith.
Indeed, Florida and New York records for the firms list little more than a California mailing address.
Next, the former IRS agents created Grupo Griffin Internacional in Panama and opened an account there. Smith said the Panama bank required notarized copies of the first page of his passport and both sides of his driver’s license.
“Surprisingly, it was more difficult to form an account there than it was in the U.S.,” said Smith.
Last week, after the registration process was complete, Smith and McDonald wired $9,000 from the Florida company to Grupo Griffin’s Panama bank. Then they wired the funds to the Internet bank account of the New York company. The transactions would be almost impossible to trace, the agents said.
“The U.S. beats up on these small island countries, from Antigua to Nauru to everyplace else, for not having adequate (corporate) controls,” said McDonald. “Yet we have control problems in our states.”

Then, there’s the Internet Security Threat Report from Symantec. It reports that fierce competition in the hacking world of organized crime is driving down prices for stolen information. For $1, anyone can purchase a valid credit card number and for $14, a complete identity–including a date of birth, bank account, credit card, and government-issued ID numbers.
The ease of forming untraceable companies and obtaining a complete phony identity make it very easy for anyone who doesn’t belong here to stay and launder and transfer money to fund nefarious operations–like terrorism–overseas (or here).
Time to finally do something about this, as far as we can–through biometrics and tightened up corporate formation laws requiring more detailed information.

Brad Delp of “Boston,” R.I.P.

By
Can’t let the week get away without commenting on the suicide of “Boston” lead singer Brad Delp.
I don’t know much about him or his politics (so forgive me if he was a raving lefty and I didn’t mention it). But I do know that Delp was a talented vocalist and that Boston is one of my favorite rock groups from the ’80s. Boston songs are uplifting and catchy and, even though I have very eclectic musical taste, Boston remains among my favorites and part of my workout music.
My favorite “Boston” song is, “Long Time,” particularly these lyrics:

I’ve got to keep on chasin’ a dream;
I’ve gotta be on my way . . . .
There’s a long road, I’ve gotta stay in time with;
I’ve got to keep on chasin that dream, though I may never find it.

Brad Delp, Boston Lead Singer, R.I.P.

It’s sad that someone like that with so much talent gave up on life. Many washed up groups from the ’80s have made a semi-comeback playing smaller clubs and earning a pretty decent living. And “Boston” was one of those groups. They had very decent tour dates and locales. Too bad for “Boston” that the group has now lost the great voice that gave its equally great guitar/keyboard/drum-heavy combination its crowning touch. And Brad Delp’s kids have lost a Dad.
He left a suicide note, saying he was a lost soul. So sad that someone whose talents were so uplifting to others, was himself so incurably depressed.
Brad Delp, Rest in Peace.

UPDATE on Muslim “Businessmen” Who Wanted to Fund Terrorists; Congrats to ICE Agents

By
Ealier this week, I wrote about –three New York-based Muslim “businessmen” who were indicted on charges of wanting to send hundreds of thousands of dollars to Hezbollah.
I was remiss in not mentioning that this case was successfully investigated by Agents of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Congrats to the hard-working ICE Agents who got the job done.
Two of the three men had previously sent almost $15 million overseas to Yemen during a 2-year period. The likely question is: What kind of business are these men in that they have $15 million to send elsewhere?
Well, insightful private investigator and terrorism expert Bill Warner answers the question. Sort of. Bill sends an article from the Rochester, New York Democrat and Chronicle, which reports that the three men run Rochester-area groceries.
Bill asks:

Where did 3 muslim grocers get $14.9 million in a 2 year period to wire transfer ?

Good question, Bill. It’s a sure bet it isn’t from selling groceries.

FBI/DHS: Terrorists Signing Up to Drive School Buses; But “Don’t Worry”

By
You know the drill. Nothing is ever connected to terrorism, in the FBI’s public statements. And no-one is ever at risk.
That’s why it’s laughable to hear the same refrain, today, as FBI officials acknowledge that the FBI and Department of Homeland Security sent out a bulletin to law enforcement all over the country, warning that Islamic terrorists are signing up to be school bus drivers. AP reports:

Members of extremist groups have signed up as school bus drivers in the United States, counterterror officials said Friday, in a cautionary bulletin to police. An FBI spokesman said “parents and children have nothing to fear.”

Asked about the alert notice, the FBI’s Rich Kolko said “there are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern.” . . .
It noted “recent suspicious activity” by foreigners who either drive school buses or are licensed to drive them, according to a counterterror official who read parts of the document to The Associated Press.
Foreigners under recent investigation include “some with ties to extremist groups” who have been able to “purchase buses and acquire licenses,” the bulletin says.
But Homeland Security and the FBI “have no information indicating these individuals are involved in a terrorist plot against the homeland,” it says. The memo also notes: “Most attempts by foreign nationals in the United States to acquire school bus licenses to drive them are legitimate.”

Sure, they are. Last year, I detailed, extensively, the story of –the two Saudi students who did a dry run on a Tampa, Florida school bus. They , because they weren’t a threat either. Right?
“Move along. Nothing to see here.”
Thanks to reader Sonia for the tip.
