FBI Finally Gets it Right (Once)

By Debbie Schlussel
As reported in today’s Washington Post, the ACLU (the American Terrorists and Child Molesters Lobby) is in a snit over FBI monitoring of protests at the 2004 Democratic and Republican Conventions in Boston and New York, respectively. The ACLU decries the FBI’s monitoring of these exercises of the First Amendment, claiming they have nothing to do with the War on Terror.
But here’s a tip: The London Bombers reportedly participated in protests against the War in Iraq in Britain. Attention, ACLU: Exercise of the First Amendment and terrorism are not mutually exclusive activities.
***UPDATE (7/20/05): One of the commenters to this post apparently does not think I am enough of a critic of the FBI, and that because I, once–in this post, defended the FBI for monitoring anti-war protestors, I am apparently not enough of an FBI critic.
Anyone familiar with my work knows that I am a vocal and continuing critic of the FBI. I stopped an outrageous that the FBI was set to give, wrote about the agency’s with that terrorist, and wrote about the agency’s outrageous for the “crime” of doing a thorough investigation of Al-Qaeda and HAMAS funding. (Shorter versions of all three columns appeared in the New York Post.)
The FBI still doesn’t have a clue. But I wanted to point out that they did something right–ONCE. We will see what they do with the intelligence they gathered. Probably nothing, as they generally do (see 9/11), as experienced by heroic ICE official Joe Webber, about whom I will write at a later date.

Charlie & Choc. Factory: Best of Remakes, But Original Still Better

By Debbie Schlussel
I am generally against remakes because they are usually not even a scintilla as good. That’s why Hollywood, which has lost its creativity, but become more orthodox in its liberalism than ever, is making more and more of them.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” starring anti-American leftist and resident of France, Johnny Depp, is no exception. I saw “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” a couple of days ago. It debuts in theaters, today. While it is the best of the remakes I’ve seen so far (in the last three years), it still doesn’t hold a candle to the original 1971 version, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” Depp is NO Gene Wilder, the original Willy Wonka (who was WAAAAY better). His androgynous obnoxious Wonka doesn’t hold a candle to Wilder’s magical portrayal of the Candy Man.

And that goes to the soundtrack. There is no Sammy Davis, Jr. version (or anyone else’s) of “The Candy Man.” Even the Oompa Loompas’ songs and incarnations were much better in the original. The candy, including the “Everlasting Gobstopper,” lickable flavored wallpaper, and a number of other such confections, and the candy wonderland in the original were much more impressive (the Gobstopper and wallpaper are absent in the new version)–odd in this day of high tech special effects and magnificent sets.
The kids are almost identical to the originals, but if you can’t improve upon them, why do it over? The TeeVee kid is updated to play video games on TV, rather than just watching. Big deal.
There is one thing better about this version, though. In this age of attacks on fathers and males, Charlie Bucket has a father. In the original, he is raised by a single mother. But in this one, there is both a Mr. and a Mrs. Bucket. And Mr. Bucket is, thankfully, portrayed as a loving, hard-working father devoted to his family.
Also, in the original, there is an FBI agent character. In this one, the FBI is missing. Too busy and in the post-9/11 world to make it to the set, I presume.

TSA’s Palestinian Rapper/Screener “Rapes” Christians, Blacks, Jews; Praises Taliban, 9/11

By Debbie Schlussel
The discovery and dismissal of yet another terror-supporting Arabic TSA (Transportation Security Administration) baggage screener should be no surprise.
In April, I wrote about , a TSA screener in Detroit, who was dismissed from the Air Force for praising Bin Laden, the 9/11 attacks, and future attacks on America–but then hired by the TSA to screen bags at Detroit Metro Airport.

The latest, Bassam Khalaf, a just-fired screener at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport, is a Palestinian rapper who praises terrorism, flying planes into buildings, and describes himself as a “crazy, suicidal Arabic . . . equipped with bombs.” Khalaf praised the 9/11 attacks and warned of future ones.
Here is Khalaf’s website. It’s not just that he calls himself the “Arabic Assassin.” It’s that his album cover features an American skyline (looks like New York) with a Palestinian Flag behind it and the words “Terror Alert” in front of it. What do you think that means? He warned that others will die on 9/11/05.
In the “interview” section of his website, Khalaf says he chose the name “Arabic Assassin,” “BECAUSE IT FITS ME. IM [sic] ARABIC AND ILL [sic] ASSASSINATE YO [sic] A–.”
Then, there are his charming lyrics.
Besides supporting Islamic terrorism against America, raping, torturing, and murdering Christians and Blacks (he calls them “N—as”) and forcing everyone to perform oral sex on him are common themes (he attacks Jews, too). The U.S.-born Khalaf also supports violence against women and necrophilia.
In “You Gon [sic] Die H–[sic],” Khalaf raps about murdering a woman who filed a sexual harassment charge against him. Then he jumps into her coffin, rapes her corpse, and sticks dynamite up her sex organ (a repeat theme in Khalaf’s songs).
Perhaps a good candidate for the new Palestinian state’s national anthem?
The ex-TSA screener’s hatred for Christianity is so “eloquently” expressed in another rap, “Hell Sent.” Calling Christians the N-word, he elaborates:
“I PUT VIRGIN MARY ON HER KNEES AND MADE HER SWALLOW MY SEMEN . . . . I HUNG A NUN ON THE CROSS LIT A FLAME THEN I TORCHED . . . . I HUNTED DOWN JESUS STABBED THAT N—- AND F—IN DUMPED HIM IN THE DITCH . . . . I WENT FROM F—IN CHURCH TO CHURCH BURNIN ONE AFTER ANOTHER BEFORE I LEFT I GRABBED THE PRIEST AND BEAT THE S— OUT THE MOTHERF—— THEN I WENT UP TO A PLAYGROUND SAW A LITTLE GIRL AND KIDNAPPED THAT B—– TOOK HER TO MY HOUSE OPENED HER MOUTH AND MADE HER SUCK MY D—”
More from the TSA screener in “Takin No More S—“:
“ILL START MY OWN STATION ONE THAT PLAYS REAL S— AND THAT’S NOT RUN BY A DIRTY JEW I DO WHAT I DO AND I DO IT THE BEST SO N—- MOTHERF— YOU MY NAME IS BASSAM A ONE MAN BAND I CAME FROM SAND AFFILIATED WITH THE TALIBAN
YALL CAN SUCK MY ARAB D—”
Where is Lorena Bobbitt when you need her?
Tell Khalaf what you think of him here.
Dallas-based TSA spokeswoman Andrea McCauley says the agency doesn’t investigate what people do in their spare time. WELL, MAYBE IT SHOULD! Hello?!
And surprise, Khalaf is an Eminem fan. Now that and preferring to produce behind the scenes, I think I’ve found his next outrageous act.
And the ACLU’s next new client. Khalaf is already whining about free speech rights. “What does my music have to do with my job?” he asked the Houston Chronicle. He then blamed his Arabic ethnicity for being fired. “I know part of it is racially motivated.” I smell a “civil rights” lawsuit brewing.
Khalaf and Ahmed have something else in common: Both spent many months on the job, until the TSA did the background checks and investigations that resulted in their dismissals. In the meantime, Americans could have died because these America-hating, Islamic terror-supporting men were in positions to allow baggage containing bombs on to planes. The TSA was put in charge of airport screeners to insure that individuals like this did not get hired and were screened BEFORE hiring.
Some things never change.

YES! & Buh-Bye: Eminem to QUIT Showbiz

By Debbie Schlussel
A front-pager in Friday’s Detroit Free Press announces that Eminem is stepping down from performing after his tour, this summer–according to insiders in the vile rapper’s camp. That the article is written by my friend, Brian McCollum–the Free Press’ rock critic and the only conservative rock critic in the country (probably the world, too)–is significant. Brian is a friend of Marshall Mathers III a/k/a Eminem and always has the scoop on him. Time to celebrate! Eminem, no good influence on America, is going away. Well, almost. Brian says that Eminem will remain behind the scenes to produce other crap (my word, not Brian’s) like Eminem’s. Hopefully, this means an end to Em’s songs about chopping up his wife and gang-raping his sister for her 10th birthday.

ABC News Dating Show Produced by Mr. Wrong

By Debbie Schlussel
Am I the only one who noticed that the Executive Producer of ABC News’ new reality show, “Hooking Up,” is named Terence WRONG? So an awful online-dating show (chock full of diva headcases), produced by a so-called news division of a major broadcast network, is brought to you by MR. WRONG. Why am I not surprised? Still looking for “Mr. Right”? Don’t go to ABC, where you’ll only find Mr. Wrong . . . and be incredibly bored by his annoying dating “documentary.” Yawn-worthy.
Full Disclosure: In March, ABC News flew me to New York to participate in a pilot to replace “Nightline.” I was not paid. It was the smoky nightclub-like show, later described in the New York Times (by reporter Jacques Steinberg), featuring all of ABC’s up-and-coming young correspondents, shot in the Times Square studio of “Good Morning America.” Until now, I kept the details of this secret, but it has been in the public domain, since ABC News’ President talked about it to the Times.

Spot-On Worst Bluffer Award: Slick Willie (& Abu Moskowitz, Too)

By Debbie Schlussel
According to Detroit Free Press’ John Smyntek, Bill Clinton was voted “Worst Bluffer of All Time” in a survey of 18,000 players at CasinoFortune.com. Just a guess, but Worst Bluff: “I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky . . . .”

My 2nd Place Award for Worst Bluffers: “Former” PFLP terrorist and FBI award revokee and all the radical Islamic groups, throughout America and the rest of the world (including terror groups Hezbollah and HAMAS), condemning the 7/7 London and assorted other Islamic terrorist attacks.
Or Hamad’s buddy, Detroit Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent in Charge a/k/a Abu Moskowitz, whose lame bluff e-mail message is posted . He claimed, in defending his refusal to discuss his questionable behavior–including a close relationship with “former” terrorist Hamad, “my only motivation would be to do what is in the best interests of law enforcement, the public, and the agency.” Right. This was right after his press guy, Greg Palmore, told me the real, uncensored reason–that “it won’t enhance [Abu] Moskowitz’s career.”
(Donald Trump won best bluffer, FYI. Feel free to post other nominations for best and worst bluffer.)

25th Anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s Nomination, Today

By Debbie Schlussel

Today is a monumental anniversary–the 25th anniversary of the nomination of the greatest President in my lifetime, Ronald Reagan. 25 years ago, today, then-California Gov. Ronald Reagan was nominated to be the Republican candidate for Prez during the Detroit-based 1980 Republican National Convention (at Joe Louis Arena a/k/a “The Joe”). A great day in history, indeed. (Thanks to the Detroit Free Press for remembering this.) The day I first met him, at the White House, in Summer 1986, was one of the greatest days of my life. We miss you, President Reagan.

Michael Moore Film Festival Update; Ted Nugent Spouts Off

By Debbie Schlussel
Over a month ago, I wrote about the upcoming set for Traverse City, Michigan, this summer. The festival, sponsored by the far-left Center for Alternative Media and Culture, now has some All-American, conservative competition, with the Traverse Bay Freedom Festival, sponsored by American Film Renaissance and organized by Traverse City patri-ette Genie Aldridge. The Freedom Festival, at the end of July, will show the films, “Michael Moore Hates America,” “Top Gun,” and a Reagan documentary.
The Detroit Free Press got something wrong about this, though. Under the photo of Michael Moore in the article about this film festival, the caption reads, “Michael Moore is the whipping boy of the conservative movement.” No, the United States is the whipping boy of Michael Moore.

My favorite depiction of Michael Moore, complete with food stains and double-fisted hot-dogs (from “”)

Then, there is Ted Nugent, aging rocker, proud gun-owner (an NRA Board Member) . . . and deadbeat parent of an illegitimate child he fathered during his marriage? Yes, that’s the guy. (He says he paid “minimal support” until now, even though he acknowledged it was his progeny.)

4 Gored in Pamplona: Was PETA’s Dennis Rodman Among Them?

By Debbie Schlussel
Charging bulls gored four people in this week’s running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain (a 9-day event which started, last week). Dennis Rodman, the has-been cross-dressing bizarro NBA rebound star, was not one of them. Rodman participated in Friday’s Pamplona run, in conjunction with an online casino to raise money for multiple sclerosis research, a laudable cause. But next year, his cause isn’t praiseworthy . . . at all.

Rodman says he wants to run completely naked on behalf of PETA, the so-called People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals– for whom he’s already posed nude. Scary. If he’s gored by the bulls, next time around, it’ll be poetic justice . . . but cruelty to animals (the bulls might catch something).

Brit Libraries Encourage Jihad, Brits Outlaw Speech Critical of Islam; Brit Press Ignores it

By Debbie Schlussel (& “David” from UK)
One of this blog’s British readers, “David,” sent me the following e-mail messages, with yet more reasons, among , that the 7/7 attacks on London should be no surprise–Brit libraries and Brit limits on free speech for non-Muslims about Islam. (We are keeping “David”‘s real name and e-mail address private, due to security concerns.) The diagram is part of “David”‘s e-mail.
You’ve heard of “militant” Islam (a nice, sanitized euphemism for Islam’s myriad of terror-supporters and participants). Now, read about what “David” so aptly describes as Britain’s “militant apathy” toward the extremist Islam that is spreading throughout his country. The second e-mail, regarding the law outlawing free speech critical of Islam, is most disturbing.
“David” says that, under the new law, which just passed the House of Commons, “someone could be risking imprisonment for informing non-Muslims of the dangerous nature of Islam. Getting into trouble for criticizing Islam isn’t just a £100 fine or 30 hours community service, it could get you 7 years in the slammer.”
The Queen’s English, now. Our version, next? Read “David”‘s e-mails messages:
