Twenty-Five Years Later, Don’t Forget Robert Dean Stethem . . . & What Hezbollah Did to Him (Mark Levin Excuses Hezbollah Supporters)

By Debbie Schlussel

Today is the 25th anniversary of the Hezbollah torture murder of American Navy diver Robert Dean Stethem on the hijacked TWA flight 847.  But you’d hardly know it.  There’s nary a peep about it anywhere.  Why hasn’t America remembered?

Robert Dean Stethem, Murdered by Hezbollah on June 15, 1985, RIP

As I write this, there is only one link on Google News which references the event.  But I remember.

Twenty-five years ago, this week, Hezbollah and Harakat Amal (Shi’ite Amal Militia) terrorists hijacked TWA 847.  They trampled Stethem to death for the “crime” of being American and being a serviceman. In the ultimate patriotism, Stethem refused the hijackers’ demands that he denounce America. Each time he refused they tortured him more, until finally they murdered him. The beginning scenes in the unfairly maligned 1986 movie, “The Delta Force,” are a pretty accurate portrayal of what happened, though not quite as graphic as the real thing.

But, whereas yesterday, the Bush Administration and Condoleeza Rice floated the idea that the U.S. should recognize Hezbollah, today, the Obama Administration does the same.

Yesterday, we despised this terrorist group, Hezbollah, that–with Harakat Amal–murdered over 300 U.S. Marines and officials (in addition to Rob Stethem). Today, Donald Trump and his idiots pick a Hezbollah supporter from a family of Hezbollah terrorists as Miss USA, and not a single journalist–from FOX News’ bimbo morning show to the Voice of America’s “Mideast Monitor” host David Byrd–will dare ask her to say three words, “I condemn Hezbollah.”  Yesterday, we vowed to do something about Hezbollah and put it out of business, but we did nothing.

Today, we have over 30,000 open Hezbollah supporters alive and well living in Dearbornistan  (and beyond) on our shores, and more are coming to America every day.  Yesterday, we condemned Hezbollah, but today our top Homeland Security officials (in both Bush and Obama administrations) hang out with its American agents and Iran-backed imams including Imams Mohammed Ali Elahi and Hassan Qazwini.  Yesterday, Republicans and conservatives claimed to be tough on Islamic terrorism.  Today, those same Republicans and conservatives embrace open Hezbollah and Syria supporter, Congressman Darrell Issa a/k/a Jihad Darrell.

Today, fraudulent “opponents” of Islamic terrorism, like talk show host Mark Levin, make excuses for embracing Hezbollah supporters and enablers.  When his candidate for President, Fred Thompson, hired Hezbollah supporter and financier Spencer Abraham as his campaign manager (a story I broke on this site), Levin said (on his nationally syndicated radio show) that this was okay, “because he needs him to win Michigan.”  Huh?  Remember that the next time Levin attacks the Dems and Obama for being soft on terrorism.  Look in the mirror, Mark.  And stop gushing over Jihad Darrell.  The ADL (Anti-Defamation League), which claims to fight Islamic terrorism, gushingly hosted a Hezbollah supporter and lawyer, for its “diversity” programming. Thank airheaded ADL Michigan chieftess, Betsy Kellman, for that one.

Mark Levin Gives Thumbs Up to Hezbollah . . . When it Helps His Friends Win Elections

Below is an excerpt of my 2005 column on the hijacking, what they did to Robert Stethem, and the inroads Hezbollah has made in this country.  That was on the 20th anniversary of his murder. Sadly, five years later, nothing has changed.  It’s only gotten worse. Please also note that Ronald Reagan never did anything in response to the hijacking and murder. There were no bombings, no nothing. Hezbollah got the message loud and clear, a message the group gets to this day: that it can kidnap, torture, and murder with impunity.

The hijacking and murder was among the first televised Islamic terror attacks against Americans, unfolding on TV screens over 17 days. . . .

On June 15, 1985, Hezbollah hijackers seized the TWA flight in Athens. Identifying Robert Dean Stethem as an American serviceman, they brutally beat and tortured the 23-year-old Stethem to death. Then, they threw his body off the plane, like garbage. Stethem was so badly beaten that he could only be identified from fingerprints. He was on his way home after a tour of duty with the US Navy in the Middle East.

But Stethem never made it home. His next and final stop was Arlington National Cemetery.

At the time, the President was Ronald Reagan,  . . . who didn’t give in to Islamic terror. Well, almost. In 1983, Hezbollah terrorists (with the help of the PLO and Syria) attacked and killed over 300 U.S. Marines and civilians in Beirut, while they slept. It was the bloodiest attack on the Marine Corps since World War II. But President Reagan didn’t strike back. Instead, he pulled out of Lebanon. He sent a signal to Hezbollah and other Islamic terrorists that their attacks would not be answered, that America was weak. That gave Hezbollah the courage to hijack the plane and brutally kill Stethem, almost two years later.

Lebanon never apologized for Stethem’s murder, nor did Syria or Iran which control Hezbollah. Three of Stethem’s four murderers–Imad Fayez Mugniyeh, Hasan Izz-Al-Din, Ali Atwa–remain free, and are believed to be in Lebanon, Iran, or Syria.

In December 2005, I broke the story that the fourth murderer, Mohammad Ali Hamadi, was secretly freed by Germany, where he was caught smuggling explosives.  In February 2008, Mugniyeh was killed in a mysterious car bomb in Syria.

To date, Hezbollah remains on the State Department terrorist list. But that means little, when federal officials in foreign service, Congress, and domestic federal law enforcement openly embrace Hezbollah and its supporters. They do this, despite the fact that Hezbollah is [a frequent ally] of Al-Qaeda and trained the insurgents who attack American soldiers in Iraq.

Just after 9/11 (and many times since), [Republican] U.S. Congressman Darrell Issa . . . openly praised Hezbollah as “legitimate resistance” and lauded Stethem’s barbaric murderers for “the good things they do.”

Earlier this year, while thousands of Lebanese people called for the ouster of Syria from their country, U.S. bureaucrats openly floated the idea of embracing Syrian-controlled Hezbollah. “U.S. Called Ready to See Hezbollah in Lebanon Role, A Sharp Policy Reversal,” read the headline in an outrageous March 10, 2005 front-page New York Times article. Incredibly, the U.S. was following the lead of France in embracing the terror group, only a few weeks after Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice was blocked–by France–from getting the EU to formally label Hezbollah as a terrorist group.

“Hezbollah has American blood on its hands,” one official told the Times. “They are in the same category as Al Qaeda.” Yet the official acknowledged that the U.S. was headed toward acknowledging a political role for Hezbollah in Lebanon. Sickening.

After this, there was enough outrage and revulsion at the Bush Administration that it never recognized Hezbollah again, but the Bush State Department and USAID gave Hezbollah millions in aid during and after the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war.

Then there are Hezbollah’s domestic supporters and the law enforcement bureaucrats and honchos who gush over them.
Take Imad Hamad, Midwest Regional Director of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (whose scheduled 2003 FBI award was revoked [as a result of my New York Post column about it]). When Israel released hundreds of Hezbollah prisoners in early 2004, Hamad sent invitations to a celebration of the new freedom of “the Heroes.” In a newspaper article, he openly wondered aloud if it would be okay to wear “a T-shirt praising Hezbollah or [buy] the yellow Hezbollah flag, emblazoned with a rifle held in a clenched fist.” This is the group that murdered Robert Stethem and hundreds of U.S. Marines and civilians, and this cretin, Hamad, wants to celebrate that.

Even worse, Hamad regularly visits Nabih Berri, speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, who just also happened to be the spokesman, chief negotiator, and media mastermind for the Hezbollah hijackers who murdered Stethem. It’s beyond embarrassing that Berri–who headed the Shi’ite Amal Militia–is a University of Michigan (my alma mater) grad, whose close relatives are unabashed and prominent in Detroit’s Islamic community. . . .

Then there’s Brian Moskowitz, Special Agent in Charge for Immigration and Customs Enforcement for all of Michigan and Ohio. Before his arrival at the Detroit ICE office, Customs (as it was previously known) constantly investigated and raided suspected Hezbollah money-launderers, including cigarette smugglers and weapons procurers who were successfully prosecuted. But Moskowitz befriended Hezbollah supporter Hamad, and, his agents say, he has shut down most, if not all, investigations into suspected Hezbollah support and funding.

Sadly, America has “moved on.”  Moved on to looking to recognize the terrorist group, a ghastly idea which was pimped first by the Bush Administration and lately by Obama’s.  And “moved on” to all of the things I’ve noted above, in which Hezbollah supporters and enablers are embraced by the most conservative Republicans as well as the Obama Administration and Democrats in Congress.

Today, there is a “monument” to the memory of Robert Dean Stethem–the Navy ship, the U.S.S. Stethem.

But Rob Stethem’s brutal murder at the hands of Hezbollah demands more than memorial in a ship name.  It demands the conscience of America’s elected officials on both sides of the aisle and the American public.

Sadly, they have forgotten.  And Rob Stethem, forever the 23-year-old who gave his life for America in resisting Islamic terrorists, is turning over in his grave.

It’s been a quarter century since his murder by Hezbollah.  And America has learned nothing other than appeasement.

Maybe, one day, America will come to its senses, and he will finally get to rest in peace. But I doubt it.

Gee Debbie, can’t you let bygones be bygones? It was 25 yrs ago, get over it! Hezbollah can be America’s friend if only America would just listen for a change. I think this is what President Obama is doing.

foreverdhimmi on June 15, 2010 at 12:48 pm

foreverdhimmi – you wrote “Hezbollah can be America’s friend if only America would just listen for a change.” America doesn’t need to listen to terrorists. hezbollah’s actions speak much more loudly than their words. They continue to kill Americans and Israelis and openly support the destruction of Israel. Is that what America is supposed to listen to? I think the only sound we should hear from hezbollah is the dying screams of their followers as they are turned into crispy critters from a napalm like substance.

foreverdhimmi: Gee Debbie, can’t you let bygones be bygones? It was 25 yrs ago, get over it! Hezbollah can be America’s friend if only America would just listen for a change. I think this is what President Obama is doing.

Change to what? Not letting our daughters go to school past the age of 10 (if at all) so they can be virtual slaves until they are married off by age 14 to a 50 year old pedophile? Would you let bygones be bygones if that was YOUR son murdered? I think not! I would literally track down the bastards that committed the murder and give them a taste of their own medicine.

If foreverdhimmi was being factitious in the comments left, it was missed on me and not funny. If Obama continues on the track he is on, he will lose me as a supporter and I will actively campaign against him in his run for re-election.

We cannot forget things like this. Just like we cannot forget 9-11, or any of the other barbaric acts of terrorism against the US and peace loving nations.

Debbie,
Robert Stethem is one of the greatest US Citizens who ever lived. I’ve never forgotten him, and never will. The USA should place a monument to him in Washington D.C. I heard the US Navy named a ship after him, which warms my heart. I hope one day I can exact revenge on his murderers.

Mark Levine: You’re a loser. LOSER! And, your book, Rescuing Sprite was dribble and self indulgent. I have rescued hundreds of dogs and you’ll never hear me say one word about it…

You went on for pages trying to make yourself out as a saint: you’re no saint and no act on this earth can redeem you.

Huh? In your statement of, “never saying a word,” you in fact said many words — is this like what the meaning of is, is? Because you said many words to describe your actions of rescuing dogs, and not just one word, you didn’t break your rule?

All you need to know about levin to not be surprised by his words is he’s in love with vannity defends fox news at all costs and tells his listeners to buy gold from a company (goldline) that marks up their coins around a hundred percent and they threaten you if you call them out on it. Levin is the true drone.

tyler on June 15, 2010 at 2:33 pm

Debbie, thank you for that revealing info on Mark Levin. I read Levin’s book, Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto. I wasn’t crazy about the book but this kind of two-faced behavior is pretty contrary to the “man of principle” Levin makes himself out to be in his book.

Just look at what Michelle Malkin had to say in her review of Levin’s book:

“”Levin has delivered a stalwart conservative manifesto written by a conservative who doesn’t want to re-brand and repackage conservatism into liberalism. He draws on founding principles, not polls, to lay out the agenda for the Right — and to illuminate the fatal flaws of statism.”

Feh!

SG: Michelle Fraudkin is a brown-nosing phony and hypocrite. She blindly praises those she thinks will help her or give her a forum to pimp herself and her products. She repeatedly attacked Bill O’Reilly for having Al Sharpton on his show, when she regularly appears on Sean Hannity’s show, and Sean Hannity has Sharpton on his radio and TV show more than any other media personality or cable show does. Yet she says nothing about that b/c it’s more beneficial for her to keep snorkling Hannity’s butt, like when she defended his Freedom Concert/Freedom Alliance scam and lied about it (and refused to note that the charity had lost two of its four stars, after she claimed it had four stars).

She still has multiple posts on her site attacking the two AIPAC staffers as “spies for Israel,” when the whole case was dropped b/c it was anti-Semitic BS. And she hung out with and praised Emily Zanotti and her organization, Sam Adams Alliance, even though she knew that Za-Nazi is an anti-Semite who praised Muslim Holocaust denial and death, rape, and torture threats on me and my family. She’s a complete fraud and whore and you really need to wake up on her. Her review of Levin’s book is to be expected. That’s the kind of fertilizer her mouth and pen regularly excrete when it will benefit her in some material way. For her, it’s all bout the dollars, baby. With her, it’s “no dolla, no holla.” DS

Debbie, while the Levin info here was news to me, I already knew about what you posted regarding Malkin from prior articles of yours. Thanks for the ongoing insights!

Shy Guy on June 15, 2010 at 3:06 pm

I can’t believe that Mark Levin is sticking up for Mike Bouchard in which Debbie wrote in this article that Bouchard secretly supports hezbollah behind closed doors and off cameras. The reason why Levin said that “he needs to win in Michigan” is becuase Levin is a Republican party hack like Hannity, Limbaugh & Beck. And I don’t even listen to Mark Levin’s radio show in the evenings, Levin happens to be on the sametime as Michael Savage, and I listen to Dr. Savage everyday of the week!

Debbie, I know you do a great job on exposing both sides of the political aisle, whether they’re from the left wing or the right wing, whenever each side is faking it and BSing around, you go after them like you should Debbie, and that’s why I salute you for what your doing.

    L on June 15, 2010 at 3:53 pm

You can see Debbie takes no prisoners. She doesn’t allow loyalty to The Tribe get in the way of what she thinks is right. One would expect her to defend Mark Levin, Pamela Geller and Dennis Prager because they are fellow Jews. But even fellow Jews don’t always do the right thing. When loyalty to the Jewish people and one’s conscience conflict, you’ll always know its the latter path she elects to follow, even when its a lonely one. That’s the price one pays for for being an iconoclast when every one is traveling in the same direction. Who else gives a thought for Robert Dean Stethem? Well today at least one person in the world speaks up on his behalf. If every one was truly courageous as Debbie is, the world would be a different place, indeed.

Sean R I got bad news man, don’t get to attached to savage I know you like him. He was the only talk show host I could stomach. I listened to him for years, every night like clock work. I live near Seattle about six months ago fox news radio bought out the abc affiliate in seattle that aired savage. All the hosts fox news kept except savage they replaced him with john gibson. I’ve been telling republicans for years wake up! Fox news has to much power they are growing bigger and bigger by the day, I could go on at length on that issue but the bottom line is, if fox news owns your affiliate don’t expect to be listening to savage much longer.

tyler on June 15, 2010 at 7:58 pm

I don’t think so. Hezbollah is a very wealthy terrorist organization with lots of connections.

Who is Robert Dean Stethem’s family?

Who indeed.

Which explains where we are today and why nothing is gonna change any time soon.

NormanF on June 15, 2010 at 1:44 pm

It is essential to point out that the ‘conservatives’ either ignore the main aspects of the Mideast, or worse, support the terrorists. Between the stale politicians and talk-show host(ess)s, there isn’t much to choose from. It is incredible that after 9/11 and the other atrocities such as Stetham’s murder, there are so many appeasers. The ultimate victim may well be our entire civilization, and those civilized people who are still around.

Little Al on June 15, 2010 at 1:47 pm

Norman F, your right bro, hezbollah is a wealthy radical islamist group, it wouldn’t surprise me if more politicans from both political parties have some type of ties to hezbollah, and now wonder we don’t hear any of these politicans take a strong stance on radical islam, what do most of them do, they take a strong stance on us, the private american citizens, there fellow countrymen & countrywomen! I know Debbie did a great job a week ago (in which I wasn’t here last week, I was burned out and exhausted from the news and politics from the internet, talk radio shows, and cable news channels) on exposing Carly Fiorina in which Fiorina is pals with Jesse Jackson who’s friends with Iran, etc. And all of last week I heard the foolish conservative commentators in the media singing Fiorina’s praises and NOT looking at the broader picture on who she really is! And please don’t dismiss me as a liberal, I am NOT no liberal, I am an “Independent-Conservative”! The only conservatives who where kissing up to Fiorina are faux-conservatives who are GOP lackeys.

Debbie,

Since Mark’s not here to cast any clarity, allow me to call you the big dummy that you are. roflmao

Ladies and Gentleman: Meet Mark Levin’s typical fan, Daniel Y (email address: miamidan52sf@yahoo.com), no different than an Obamabot, except that even Obamabots are no longer as blind and idiotic. Mark Levin said it was okay for Fred Thompson to have an open Hezbollah supporter and financier (and Arafat friend) as his campaign manager, “because he needs it to win Michigan.” There’s no “clarity” necessary (sounds like the lexicon of the liberals, always saying “I need to clarify”). It’s quite simple, actually. Mark Levin made excuses for his friends’ embracing Hezbollah supporters and financiers. Period.

But since Daniel Y (please write him at email address: miamidan52sf@yahoo.com) has no refutation of Mark Levin’s inexcusable excuse for Hezbollah and its apologists, he resorts to the behavior of a low-IQ three-year-old, calling me names, showing me who the real dummy is here (that would be the guy in Daniel’s mirror). Like I said, this is your typical moronic Mark Levin fan. Can’t refute the facts, so makes excuses for him. Like I said, he might as well be an Obama supporter. Same difference. Even lower IQ. DS

Daniel Y on June 15, 2010 at 2:02 pm

I remember when I was being brain washed a few years ago by these fraudluent “conservatives” like levin they would always try and make the listener feel superior to a liberal because as they put it, all the liberal does is name call. “They can’t debate the facts,” thats what they would say and I believed it. Now when I leave a comment on most sites calling out fake conservatives or fox news thats all they do. I have left long and lengthy comments about how becks show on fox is a joke compared to when he was at cnn, or how hannity uses dead soldiers to line his pockets. The “conservative” response is to leave like a sentence in reply, either calling me a fascist or telling me to committ suicide. Daniel fits their mold to a t. To bad for him he didn’t realize who he was calling a big dummy. I hope he gets like a hundred emails not calling him names but trying to open his eyes to the fact that he is being used. But as I have learned you can talk until your blue in the face, their is no getting through to people like daniel and his ilk.

tyler on June 15, 2010 at 3:15 pm

Like Debbie said to the other Mark Levin fan, its the principles, stupid. And then we should all be on the side of good and not evil. Hezbollah is evil. Now go ask Levin why he thinks Hezbollah isn’t evil. That is whom you should be questioning and not calling Debbie a liar for pointing out Levin is dead wrong, period on this issue!

NormanF on June 15, 2010 at 6:41 pm

This war will persist as long as the Hebrew state exists in occupied Palestine.”

Hezbollah’s still Anti-Semetic & anti-American.

Jacqueline Hanna Youssef on June 15, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Hizbullah also tortured to death at least one CIA operative (here may have been more). They also kidnapped many westerners, are proably responsible for some of the illegal immigration into the US (They have alliances with coyotes so they can get their sleeper cells in) and may in fact be part of the Drug trade in North America.

Other than getting hundreds of millions in aid, discussions with Western (including American) governemnt officials with talk of possible recognition, how has the US “punished” Hizbullah?

I_AM_ME on June 15, 2010 at 3:06 pm

Debbie, I too am a Levin fan and I had never heard of this allegation. I’m hoping he is sorry for having done this and might not have even known it. I agree with Patrick above, though and have also listened to Mark for hours and hours condemning these barbaric terrorists. What’s the point in making enemies with people on your side on most points?

J: Huh? You think it’s okay for someone who pretends to be against terrorists to defend those who support Hezbollah, so long as the persons doing it are “on my side”? Uh, here’s a clue: anyone who excuses Hezbollah supporters is NOT on my side. That’s exactly the point. How sad you didn’t get it. Shows me you are a blind defender of Levin and a person with no principles. Here’s a another tip: conservatism is about PRINCIPLES, no PERSONALITIES. If you support Hezbollah, you are the ENEMY. If you don’t get that, you are the problem, not the solution. And you are clearly very gullible. Sheep are dangerous and not very useful to the long-term survival of America. DS

Jesse on June 15, 2010 at 3:30 pm

Be for good and not for evil. So sad so many on Right can’t see the real issue. As long as they can’t, there is no hope for America. I checked the other blogs and NOT ONE mention of the anniversary today. If they won’t commemorate a murdered American, this country will never be able to deal with the thugs that murdered him. Indeed, the Obama Administration is sending a trade mission to Syria! No, America is not ready to deal seriously with one of Hezbollah sponsors, which tells me all I need to know.

As Debbie pointed out, the GWB II Administration gave over 800 million to the creeps in Hezbollah and now Barry Soetoro is repeating it again; asking for an initial 400 million in aid.

Part of that aid money promoted by Condi Rice included giving Hezbollah thousands of M-16 rifles, millions of rounds of ammo and trucks to haul it all away.(No word yet if Barry is going to give em F-16’s and rocket launchers)

This is such BS. All of you that know someone unemployed by this administration need to tell em about Barry Soetoro giving all the terrorists in Palestine a check for 400 million in aid.

This from a President that cannot produce his Birth Certificate, cannot come up with a valid SS number and forged his Selective Service application.Nobody even knows if he has legally changed his Muslim name to Obama.

I think American’s could use that 400 million to help bring back American businesses to the USA to provide jobs.

ScottyDog on June 15, 2010 at 8:32 pm

Technically we are NOT giving 400 million to the Fakestinians. We are BORROWING 400 million more from China to give them.

Another excellent post, Debbie.

I want to repeat one thing that Debbie wrote above:

“Robert Dean Stethem, Murdered by Hezbollah on June 15, 1985, RIP.”

AMEN!

JeffE on June 15, 2010 at 9:17 pm

The Navy remembered and honored Robert Dean Stethem. The Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer, USS Stethem DDG – 63 was ordered in February of 1990 and launched in 1994. I believe she is currently home-ported in Yokosuka Japan.

Wow, has it really been 25 years? It still sickens me.

A former comedian I know had a solution that, in some ways, doesn’t sound bad. Tell the Islamofascists they have only two strikes to work with. The next American brutally tortured and killed will result in a nuclear missile launched at Medina. The next one after that will result in a missile launched at Mecca. Then, once Mecca’s nuked, it’ll glow so much they’ll have a much easier time finding it when making their pilgrimage.

Your blowhard talkshow host friend, Tom Marr, forgot about Stethem this year.

S: Tom Marr is NOT my friend. He’s a disgusting nut, whose show I haven’t been on in years, ever since he started calling me non-stop at home late at night and trying to get me to have an affair with him. He’s a disgusting fat whale and a fraud. DS

Tyler, since you mentioned Dr. Savage, where I live in New York City, NY, he’s on “WOR radio”, in which WOR is NOT affiliated with Fox News/News Corp. Also Tyler, Michael Savage is owned by an independent syndicator, he’s not owned by a big conglomerate organization like Fox/News Corp., CNN, MSNBC/NBC/GE, ABC, CBS, PBS/NPR, etc. He’s one of the few independent voices out there in the media, the samething can be said for Steve Malzberg, Jeff Kuhner and Debbie Schlussel!

If you stop funding Hezbollah then you have to stop funding Israel too – ALL foreign aid is unconstitutional.

    Two comments/questions, Jordan.

    1) You do know the dfference between good and evil, with Hezbollah = evil and Israel = good, right?

    2) “ALL foreign aid is unconstitutional.” Do you have any proof of that? Citations from the U.S. Constitution?

JeffE on June 16, 2010 at 8:32 pm

Came over here to see what the fuss was about. Now I see.

Someday, when we have a real leader we can pay those bastards everything back. In the meantime we’ll just wait.

“ALL foreign aid is unconstitutional”

He is right about that, there is nothing in our constitution that authorizes Congress to steal our taxes to give to any foreign entity.

Congress has been getting away with this for years and it is not legal. I personally think most of the foreign aid ends up in offshore bank accounts of Senators and Congressman myself.

ScottyDog on June 16, 2010 at 9:58 pm

@ ScottyDog at 9:58 pm.

Ok, you might have a point.

I was responding in part to what I perceive as a moral equivalancy between Israel and Hezbollah by Jordan. (Jordan, if I’m misreading you, then I apologize.) I am aware that there are pro-Israel cases both for and against US foreign aid to Israel. I will say this much–if any nation in the world deserves US foreign Aid, it’s Israel; and if Israel doesn’t deserve it, then no nation does–and certainly no terrorist organiztion like Hezbollah does.

    Jeffe

    Agreed

ScottyDog on June 17, 2010 at 2:49 pm

So sad;I had never heard of the Robert Stethem case;I was in highschool when it happened. I only recently became involved in news/politics in the past year…so much to learn so little time…I have seen a lot of back and forth bickering on twitter regarding this post on mark levin and other conservative bloggers defending him.

I find it sad that so many would rather argue against you when you are merely trying to point out the truth and sometimes the truth hurts. You are brave for all you share Debbie and I don’t blame you for defending yourself. I just wish other conservatives would wake up to what’s right over what’s wrong. People need to stick to conservative or Christian principles if that is what they believe. I know Hezbollah is a terrorist group and for anyone to defend them or justify a candidate who supports such a group is lying to themselves. They are not standing up for what is taught in the Bible and that is the side of Israel and the side of good vs evil as others have mentioned.

PS Sean and Tyler:I’m also a big fan of Savage, love when his show comes on it makes my day..hate when he’s sick or has an encore segment 🙂

@freedom4usa on June 17, 2010 at 1:03 am

I for one will never ever forgive those hezbo muslime savages. What they did to not only Stethem and my Marine Corps barracks and other Westerners. They deserve death period, if you support or condone hezbo, you are the enemy and deserve no mercy or sympathy. Soon when everything goes to hell, which and whom will you side with?
