No Toys For You: Obamaconomy Worst US Toy Market Ever Says Lego Chief; But Sales of Girls’ Construction Sets Up!

By Debbie Schlussel

Over the past couple of years, I’ve given you many stark indicators of how bad the Obamaconomy is, including: dollar store purchases are way down (No Dolla? Holla!), diaper purchases are down and new parents are going longer between changing diapers on their babies (causing increased rashes and medical problems), and sales by the maker of Spam are up 16%. And now there is the Obama Toy Index. The chief of Lego says the current economic climate in the U.S. is the worst for toys that he’s ever seen. For the record, while I loved Legos as a kid (though my favorite toys were Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, and Stikki Wikkis–all of which were a precursor to my interest in architecture and design), if I had kids today, I would not buy them Lego merchandise because Denmark and its people–the ungreat Danes–are extremely anti-Israel. That said, Lego’s top exec’s statements are another loud sign of a crumbling America under Barack Obama. But don’t worry about Lego–the company is doing well by taking a page out of the NOW feminist hag playbook. The company remains profitable because its toys are now aimed at girls–including a girls’ contruction set. Can’t wait until the Lego panties and bustier for boys. We’re headed that way, it seems.

Legobama Or Not, Lego Chief Sees Worst Toy Market Ever in Obamaconomy

The chief executive of Lego A/S signaled deep concern about the U.S. toy market on Friday even after the Danish toy maker reported a solid first-half performance. . . . Read the rest of this entry »

“Real Victims” of Weak Obama Jobs Market: Saudi Muslim Aliens on Student Visas – Detroit Free Press

By Debbie Schlussel

You know who “the real victims” of America’s poor economy and weak jobs market are? Not Americans. Muslims. Muslim Aliens from Saudi Arabia, according to the mainstream media. That’s the new narrative of the Obamaconomy, according to the Detroit Free Pressistan. It reminds me of the same crap we keep being told about how Muslims are “the real victims” of 9/11 rather than what they actually are–the real perpetrators. It also reminds me of the old joke in which G-d tells the world’s leaders he will destroy the world the following day. The Detroit Free Press headline would be, “World to end tomorrow. Muslims hardest hit.”

islamiccrescent.jpg

Unemployed? Don’t Worry. The Real Victims Are Muslim Aliens from Saudi Arabia

As Clint Eastwood noted in his very funny (and wrongly derided) empty chair routine at the Republican National Convention, one of the tragedies of the Obamaconomy is that 23 million Americans are unemployed. And, so, yesterday, as organized labor (which helped put a lot of those Americans out of jobs by making those jobs too costly) celebrated Labor Day in Detroit, the Detroit Free Press reminded us what Labor Day was all about: finding jobs for Saudi Arabian Muslims here on student visas, who should be going home, not taking jobs from American citizens. While tens of millions of American citizens are out of work, yesterday’s Detroit Free Press cover story gave us a sob story about Laith Alsunni, a college graduate who is still living in the Detroit area on a student visa, despite graduating college months ago. The Freep reported on a job fair and played a violin for Alsunni’s “plight.” Look at the ridiculous caption accompanying the photo from the hard copy of yesterday’s paper (both of which are strangely missing from the online version of the story).

No Tears for Laith Al-Sunni

As you read this absurdity, note that Mr. Alsunni’s LinkedIn account lists several positions of employment working on movies subsidized by the Michigan Film Tax Credit (which was put into place to generate jobs for Michigan citizens, not aliens). If he worked for pay, that’s generally a violation of student visa conditions, which prohibit working (because we don’t want aliens taking jobs from Americans). And Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be looking into it (but probably won’t under the Obama ICE).

Laith Alsunni said he needed to find a job in 25 days. If not, he’ll have to leave the U.S. under the terms of his visa.

The 26-year-old Saudi Arabian graduated from Lawrence Technological University in May. Information technology is his desired field. Read the rest of this entry »

Best Anti-Obama Ad I’ve Seen – VIDEO of a Broken Record

By Debbie Schlussel

Absolutely terrific and spot on. This is what the Romney campaign should be running on TV. It kinda reminds me of then-Michigan liberal Democrat Governor Jennifer Granholm (a featured speaker at this week’s Democratic National Convention) telling us, “In five years, you’ll be blown away.” Obama in his own words, then and now – gee, we’ve heard that before.

Suzanne Barr, Obama ICE Chief of Staff, Resigns After Firestorm Started by Schlussel Story – Buh-Bye!

By Debbie Schlussel

About three weeks ago, I broke the story about a lawsuit filed by New York’s top Homeland Security official against Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano, alleging employment discrimination and sexual harassment by Suzanne Barr, Napolitano’s hand-picked chief of staff of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Now, as a result of the firestorm I started with that story, Ms. Barr has resigned, deliberately doing so late yesterday–on a Saturday of one of the biggest holiday weekends of the year so the news would go unnoticed. I predicted to friends of mine in ICE that Barr would be forced to resign–which should have happened long ago, and today she did. I’ve been reporting on the facts alleged in the lawsuit and some affidavits in connection with the suit, for several years on this site, as agents have long complained to me about Barr’s sexual harassment of male agents. But her resignation is not enough. ICE chief John Moron Morton and Napolitano should go with her.

Suzy Barr: Obama Homeland Security Official, Who Treated Male ICE Agents Like The “Magic Mike” Casting Couch, Resigns

Partners in Harassment/Discrimination: DHS Chief Janet Napolitano & Flamboyant ICE Chief John (Moron) Morton

Even if Obama is re-elected in November, they may be gone in January. Morton was well aware of Suzy Barr’s behavior. He was in on a lot of it and looked the other way. One affidavit I exclusively posted on this site alleges that Morton was involved in a sexting situation involving one of his Special Agents in Charge, Ray Parmer, and Barr. And Morton and Napolitano’s discrimination in favor of gay and lesbian agents at ICE, even creating wasteful special positions (job positions, not sexual ones) for them to be near their sexual partners, etc. cannot be tolerated. Sadly, in the Obama administration it is. And I’m not so sure that will change under Mitt Romney, since Daniel Ragsdale, a gay ICE official who discriminates against male straight agents, will immediately be acting Director of ICE, if Obama loses. He is already Deputy Director of the organization at this point. He’s never even been an ICE agent. He’s just a lawyer with no law enforcement experience, like all the cretins who run ICE into the ground. Read the rest of this entry »

“2016: Obama’s America”: Boring Rehash of Old News; Attacks Obama For Not Backing Syrian Al-Qaeda Rebels (Whom Obama IS Backing)

By Debbie Schlussel

I believe in truth in advertising, and “2016: Obama’s America” should be called “Dinesh D’Souza: Me, Me, Me, Me, Buy My Book on Obama, and Watch Me Rip Off Everyone Else By Repeating Their Old News.” I’m not sure why so many on the right are raving over this movie. Aside from being incredibly boring, there’s nothing new here. If you’ve read about Obama and who he is, since before he was elected, you know everything in this movie. D’Souza merely ripped off the good research and work of others and regurgitated it to promote his book, “Obama’s America.” And it worked because the book is now on the best-seller list. This movie is merely an amateurish infomercial for his theft and repetition of everyone else’s work. And much of the movie is Dinesh D’Souza inserting himself and his background and comparing himself to Obama. Me, me, me, me. No one cares about you, Dinesh. The movie is not called, “Obama and ME.”

As I previously told you, I don’t support Dinesh D’Souza or anything he does because he’s a shameless apologist for Islam, says Muslims are just “1950s Americans” and attacks those of us on the right who see the credible threat of Islam to America. He’s written books and made a lot of money on these claims and blamed America for 9/11, saying Muslims have a right to hate us because we are too decadent. He’s a darling of the HAMAS CAIR crowd. Then in this movie, he hypocritically attacks Obama for being too pro-Muslim. Um, look in the mirror Dinesh. Also, he attacks Obama for not supporting the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood/Al-Qaeda rebels. Um, how is that a conservative position? In fact, Obama is supporting those rebels. That’s the problem. D’Souza decries a “United States of Islam” with the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Libya. Is Dinesh that intellectually vacant (or dishonest) that he denies the stark, undeniable fact that the rebels in Syria are the same guys? The same Muslim Brotherhood? D’Souza is a fraud and a hypocrite.

But I went and wasted my $10 and 1.5 hours to see this underwhelming, overrated, waste of time documentary. Read the rest of this entry »

Wknd Box Office: Lawless, Killer Joe, Celeste & Jesse Forever

By Debbie Schlussel

Sorry I’m late with my movie reviews but I had a lot going on Friday (couldn’t get ’em done in time for the Jewish Sabbath), I hated the new movies, and there are no blockbusters among them. Remember, August is the cemetery in which Hollywood studios send the worst movies to die a quick death. And this weekend shows that in spades. I did not see “The Possession,” which was not screened for Detroit-area critics (which usually means it’s a bomb).

* “Lawless“: There are plenty of interesting moonshiner stories in America (and I’ve written about one of them, Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton), but this wasn’t one of them. This long, slow, boring, waste of time was nothing but two hours of torture porn and killing. It was bloody and violent with no point to it. I’m disappointed in the Gary Oldman and Guy Pearce–two terrific actors I admire–for taking what was obviously just a paycheck. They co-star in this absolute garbage. Read the rest of this entry »

Thumbs Down: Roger Ebert Hates Israel, Upset @ Rachel Corrie Verdict

By Debbie Schlussel

I’m not surprised by this: left-wing film critic Roger Ebert hates Israel (and for that, he is linked to and revered by the Breitfraud sites).

rogerebert.jpg

Several years ago, I told you about Ebert’s friendship with and loud support for Islamic terrorist Ibrahim Parlak, who is still living free in America (despite prior ICE attempts to deport him and every single court affirming that Parlak is a terrorist). After I wrote about this, Ebert responded by attacking me on his website and in his syndicated movie review column.

And, given his penchant for movies sympathetic to Islamic terrorism and Muslims in general, it’s no surprise that he despises Israel and is upset that Israel’s courts found that anti-Israel (and anti-American) activist Rachel Corrie and her terrorist friends in the International Soldiery Movement (ISM) contributed to her death and that it was an accident. Rachel Corrie was an American-flag-burning, pan-terrorist radical who died when she jumped in front of a Caterpillar bulldozer driven by the Israeli Army in Gaza and wasn’t seen by the driver. She got what she deserved. And, by the way, she died trying to stop the bulldozer from tearing down a house occupied by Islamic terrorists and used as a mechanism to smuggle HAMAS arms for attacks against innocent civilians in Israel. Check out Roger Ebert’s tweet that he sent out today on Twitter (follow me on Twitter):

Rachel Corrie Burning a Facsimile of the American Flag for Smiling Palestinian Muslim Kids in Gaza . . .

Over a decade ago, when “Seeds of Peace” camp graduate Adam Shapiro and his Palestinian Christian wife (then she was only his girlfiend–no typo) started their terrorist group, ISM (in which Corrie was an active member), I wrote an expose on their support for suicide bombings and other Islamic terrorism, despite their claims to being peaceful. Shapiro attended my speech against the University of Michigan Divestment Conference and tried to heckle me (‘cept no one could hear him), and his insane New York-based lawyer brother, Noah Shapiro, called me repeatedly threatening to sue me (he had no legit grounds). Over the years, many “reporters” in major newspapers stole my work on Shapiro, repeating my research down to the quotes I chose, the ellipses I inserted, and so on. And the Israeli Court decision against Rachel Corrie–whose American family sued Israel in Israel–relied upon those obscure quotes I found from Shapiro and Arraf in noting that ISM harbored Islamic terrorists and is at fault for what befell its activists. The decision is surprising because, though most people don’t realize it, the most anti-Israel courts in the world are the Israeli courts, which are dominated by self-hating, far-left Israeli Jews.

But Roger Ebert is surprised. The far-leftist thinks that Americans should be able to behave like Rachel Corrie and provide safe haven for Islamic terrorists who bombed innocent people the next day, and get away with it. He thinks that Americans should be able to jump, like Rachel Corrie did, in front of bulldozers tearing down the methods of terrorist attacks, and get away with it. She became the pancake she aspired to. It was to be expected. Read the rest of this entry »

Courageous, Pro-Israel Mensch Andy Roddick Retires From Tennis: Said No to Muslim Apartheid

By Debbie Schlussel

American pro tennis player Andy Roddick announced yesterday that he is retiring from tennis after this week’s U.S. Open. And I will miss him because he is one of the few courageous, principled men in pro sports, today. As you may recall, in 2009, when Israeli Jewish professional tennis players were banned from the Qatar Open and Dubai Tennis Championshps per the Arab Muslim boycott on Israel and accompanying apartheid travel ban against Israeli Jews, Roddick was the only pro tennis player to speak out against it. Not only did he speak out against it, he went a heroic step further by pulling out of the 2009 Dubai Tennis Championships.

Andy Roddick: Retiring American Tennis Hunk Has Uncommon Courage

Dubai relented after being fined $300,000 for refusing a visa to Israeli player Shahar Pe’er. But Roddick, a gentile, was a better Jew than Ms. Pe’er, who chose to participate in Dubai’s Jewish tennis player minstrel show. In discussing why he pulled out of the tournament, he made it clear he didn’t approve.

U.S. star Andy Roddick said he wouldn’t defend his Dubai title next week. Read the rest of this entry »

Praise allah! GOP Platform Pimps Obama-Bush “Arab Spring”

By Debbie Schlussel

As I’ve said many times before on this site, Mitt Romney’s foreign policy will be no different from Barack Obama’s foreign policy, which is no different from George W. Bush’s foreign policy. There will be no change on Iran, with useless diplomacy and sanctions being the order of the decade. There will be no change in the Mid-East, where support for a Palestinian state and Arab Spring “democracy” to elect despotic Al-Qaeda/HAMAS/Muslim Brotherhood/Hezbollah forces is the order of the day. And the Republican Party platform–which was supposed to be dictated by conservatives–has this nauseating endorsement of the disastrous, destabilizing, anti-Western Arab Spring. They try to have their cake and eat it, too, by claiming that while they support democracy for the Islamic world, only if the democracy is not HAMAS or Hezbollah. Huh? Um, every single Arab Spring regime change has brought in some form of HAMAS or Hezbollah, even if it isn’t by that name. Welcome to Islamic democracy, chumps. How is the Muslim Brotherhood in power in Egypt not the same as HAMAS? It IS HAMAS. Do these morons actually know where HAMAS came from? The GOP Platform also says that Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with religion or Islam. Please tell me how this is different than Obama-Bush for the last 11.5 years.

We recognize the historic nature of the events of the past two years – the Arab Spring – that have unleashed democratic movements leading to the overthrow of dictators who have been menaces to global security for decades. In a season of upheaval, it is necessary to be prepared for anything. That is true on the ground in the Middle East, and it will be equally true in the next Administration, particularly with a new President unbound by the failures of the past. We welcome the aspirations of the Arab peoples and others for greater freedom, and we hope that greater liberty – and with it, a greater chance for peace – will result from the recent turmoil. Many governments in the region have given substantial assistance to the U.S. over the last decade because they understood that our struggle against terror is not an ethnic or religious fight, and that violent extremists are abusers of their faith, not its champions.

I put that last part in bold because it’s just so absurd. What religion was the Undiebomber, the Fort Hood shooter, the man who tried to blow up Times Square, and so on? It’s just absurd to claim there is no ethnic or religious fight. Clearly there is. Wake up, GOP platform morons. Muslims ain’t gonna vote for you, even if you pretend that Smurfs and Ronald McDonald are the real terrorists.

On the other hand, radical elements like Hamas and Hezbollah must be isolated because they do not meet the standards of peace and diplomacy of the international community. We call for the restoration of Lebanon’s independence, which those groups have virtually destroyed. We support the transition to a post-Assad Syrian government that is representative of its people, protects the rights of all minorities and religions, respects the territorial integrity of its neighbors, and contributes to peace and stability in the region. We offer a continuing partnership with the people of Iraq, who have endured extremist terror to now have a chance to build their own security and democracy. We urge special efforts to preserve and protect the ethnic and religious diversity of their nation. Read the rest of this entry »

Paul Ryan’s Speech Terrific, But Amnesty Babble From Condi Clueless Rules GOP

By Debbie Schlussel

Paul Ryan could not have given a better speech than that which he delivered last night at the Republican National Convention. It was the kind of speech a lot of conservatives were waiting for. A few things he said–like his pledge of a rebirth of the Republican Party–were not backed up by the fact that Mitt Romney (Gerald Ford revisited and just as boring) is the nominee. And, as we all know, he’ll be Vice President if the ticket wins, NOT President, so none of the policies he said he wants to pursue will actually happen. He’ll be busy at awards ceremonies and cutting ribbons. Still, it was a great speech and delivered like he knew what he was talking about–which he did and does–in stark contrast to utterly-out-of-her-league Sarah Palin. That’s what people want in the guy who is a heartbeat away from the Presidency, that he’s competent, knowledgeable, and serious and mature enough to assume that job if needed. And Paul Ryan delivered the message that he is, and that he’s conservative . . . the conservative we should have had AT THE TOP of the ticket.

Paul Ryan & Condi Clueless: A Conservative & a Liberal Speak at Last Night’s GOP Convention. Sadly, Only One of Them Has Mitt Romney’s & the GOP Establishment’s Ear

But we were reminded of the real identity of those who run the Republican Party of today with the dull, boring, cheerless speech given as the warm-up, that delivered by Condoleezza Rice a/k/a Condi Clueless, a closeted, intellectually-cross-dressing Democrat in Republican’s clothing. The speech she gave last night was NOT what rank-and-file Republicans–most of whom have conservative values–needed to hear. It was the same old immigration amnesty pap and inner city education baloney that is the lingua franca of the left.

In her not-so-veiled lecture about the need for amnesty, Condi Clueless went on and on about the virtues of immigrants–that some magical greatness is in their being. But she forgot about many immigrants with other not-so-great qualities. Nineteen of them we met on September 11th. We met several more at Fort Hood, Times Square, and so on and so forth, as they tried–and sometimes, succeeded–to murder more and more Americans.

And then there are the many aliens Condi Clueless also didn’t mention in her verbal multi-orgasms for immigrants, last night: those who commit countless crimes–murders, rapes, drunk driving injuries. Go to Dearbornistan, and you’ll see a city with a large percentage of Muslim immigrants abusing welfare, Medicaid, and food stamps entitlements, while they own successful all-cash restaurants and gas stations and drive around in expensive Mercedes Benzes and BMWs. That’s their American dream. Live the good life and have everyone else subsidize it. But those are the immigrants Condi Clueless didn’t talk about. Immigration is a status. It’s not a virtue, despite what Condi Clueless wants you to believe. Some immigrants are good. Some are bad. And some are very bad and dangerous. We have to secure our borders and get rid of the bad ones–the 20 million who shouldn’t be here. But she didn’t say a thing about that because she doesn’t believe in secure borders or immigration enforcement. Read the rest of this entry »
