Early this afternoon, I was on “The Jack Riccardi Show” on KTSA-AM, San Antonio’s ABC Radio station, to talk about “The Dark Knight Rises” (read my review) and this morning’s massacre of moviegoers at a showing of the movie in Aurora, Colorado. On the show, I was asked by Jack if I thought the attack was based on the content and message of the movie or if, as he thought, it was just done there because the killer, Jack Holmes, knew there would be a crowd. I agreed with Jack. But I also said that it was ridiculous to paint Holmes, about whom we knew nothing, as a Tea Party activist. I added that if he were any sort of activist and if his attack were based on the movie, he’d have to be from Occupy or Occupy Wall Street, since the movie’s villain, a terrorist named, “Bane,” has an Occupy message against the rich, and he’s a violent, murderous terrorist. Since then, Twitter’s been lit up with attacks on me by pro-Obama Occupy activists (check out some of the attacks, below). But, now, it turns out I may have been on to something. Private Investigator Bill Warner believes that Holmes was an activist in Black Bloc, the extremist offshoot of the Occupy movement. Here’s why Bill thinks Holmes is part of Black Bloc, whose members often wear all black and gas masks:

Stop trying to invoke meaning or left-wing policy into the craziness of a crazy. Stop using the tragic loss of life to push crap on America. Seems that’s all that’s happening after today’s mass murder tragedy at a Batman movie. All while the victims’ bodies aren’t even cold yet. Apparently, the rigor mortis has set in, too, in the brains of far too many left-wing mainstream media “reporters” and personalities. We knew it was possible to kill people at movies. It’s happened before. It has nothing to do with ideology or policy. And everything to do with sudden displays of insanity and imbalance that can’t be prevented.

As a professional movie critic, I see between 150 and 200 movies in theaters per year (that’s in addition to those I see on DVD, which they send us as screeners). (Yup, more than 400 hours of my life wasted each year in dark theaters watching mostly garbage–time I’ll never get back.) As studios get cheaper and try to save money, they have fewer and fewer private screenings for critics and more promotional screenings to which we are invited. They are always packed to the gills, and I’ve always thought, “This would be a great, cheap opportunity for a terrorist.” Terrorists could go to packed movie theaters in a multiplex on a weekend and simultaneously detonate, I’ve always thought. Sadly, the madman attack on movie-goers to “The Dark Knight Rises,” saw that on a miniature scale, last night. And now, more than ten people are dead. It’s tragic. But there is no way to prevent it, unless you want metal detectors at every theater and a TSA-“Please Remove Your Shoes and Belts” mentality in every aspect of American life. And we don’t want that.

In 1988, people were shot and killed at a showing of the Sean Penn gang warfare movie, “Colors,” at a Detroit-area theater. Thereafter, there were metal detectors at the theater, the now-defunct “AMC Americana Southfield City.” And it was a hassle. You had to arrive extra early before the movies because you had to stand in line to go through the detector. We don’t want to be that country. It likely wouldn’t have prevented gunman James Holmes who apparently came in a back door or emergency door. And yet, idiots like Brit scumbag Piers Morgan, are calling for gun control. But, if someone else in that Aurora theater, this morning, had a gun, fewer people might have died and even fewer might have been injured. In Michigan, concealed pistol license (CPL) holders are confused about whether they should risk taking their guns into theaters. That’s because the Michigan CPL restricts taking a concealed weapon into an entertainment venue with more than a certain number of people. Does that mean the individual theater in a multiplex, which would fall under the threshold, or all theaters, which would mean you can’t take your gun there? We should want more people to be allowed to try to protect themselves from people like the Aurora madman, James Holmes, who will take his gun in there anyway. Read the rest of this entry »

I have mixed feelings about “The Dark Knight Rises,” the latest installment in the Batman movies, which debuts in theaters at Midnight, tonight. Overall, I liked it. I especially loved the ending (and there are sort of two endings). But why did I have to sit in my seat for nearly three hours of repetition and sullenness to get there? The movie clocks in at 164 minutes (2hours and 44 minutes), and it feels like it. At the critics’ screening I attended, a bulb burnt out and we had a brief bathroom break intermission, which this movie badly needs, though not as badly as editing and cutting. Plus, at times, I needed a translator to understand some of the muffled English peppered with a British accent. And that’s not to mention the muddled Occupy Wall Street message, which is at once vilified, but also glorified. (My fellow Detroit movie critic Tom Long calls it, “Occupy Batman.”)

Christian Bale and Gary Oldman are two of my favorite actors, and that makes the movie likeable, as with every movie they grace. And there are other likeable aspects, such as the new addition of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as a smart beat cop who was raised at a Gotham City orphanage and knows something big and bad is going on when others don’t notice or, worse, dismiss his worries. Also, as much as I usually don’t like her, Anne Hathaway as Catwoman (who is never called that in the movie, but wears her leather get-up) is good in this role. Still, the movie was far too long, had too much going on, and was at times very confusing. An hour could have been cut from it, the script tightened, and it would have been much better. And they could have cut out a few characters. There were repetitive scenes: of how sad, brooding, and hermit-like Bruce Wayne had become, of how brutal it became in an underground prison pit where he ends up, and the like. There is also poor attention to detail. Most of Gotham’s cops are trapped in tunnels under the city for more than three months. And yet when they come out there is barely a day’s stubble on their faces. Doesn’t make sense, nor do other plot details.

The story takes place eight years after the last movie (which debuted four years ago). Bruce Wayne (Bale) is now a wounded misanthrope, who lives like a Hermit in the top floor of his mansion. His company is almost broke because it doesn’t make anything anymore, since he’s not there to attend to it. The only thing in which he’s involved is an attempt at clean energy mechanisms, in which a wealthy woman (9/11 Truther Marion Cotillard) has invested. Also, Batman is seen as a bad guy around Gotham and thought of as the murderer of Harvey Dent, because the world doesn’t know the real story of what became of Dent. The demogogic Gotham mayor takes full advantage of this and denounces Batman. But Gotham is calm and doing well because new laws have created law and order. Read the rest of this entry »

President Bush released Mehdi Ghezali to freedom to bomb a bus of Israelis in Bulgaria. His catch-and-release-Islamic-terrorists approach has now resulted in more murders of innocent civilians in Islamic terrorist acts. And Bush released Ghezali, despite his strong ties to convicted Millennium Bomber Ahmed Ressam. To those saying they “miss Bush,” is that one of many boneheaded Pan-Islamic things he did that you miss?

News reports are now confirming that the suicide bomber who murdered five people in yesterday’s bus bombing is Ghezali, a Swedish citizen of Algerian and Finnish descent, known as “Cuba-Swede.” He was a prisoner at Guantanamo Bay from 2002-2004, at which point he was released to freedom to kill more innocent people. An Al-Qaeda member, Ghezali was responsible for a prison uprising which killed 17 people, and yet President Bush chose to release him into the great abyss. Ghezali grew up in Sweden, committed crimes in Portugal (where he tried and failed to become a star soccer player), and was educated in mosques and Muslim schools in the West (in Great Britain) and, later, in Saudi Arabia. He was also caught trying to sneak into Afghanistan from Pakistan in 2009 after fighting with over 100 Al-Qaeda fighters in the Tora Bora Mountains, and yet he was released again. Oh, and when Ghezali was released by the Bush Administration, he was sent to Sweden, where the Swedish government–now quick to pander to that country’s growing population of Islamic immigrants–could have tried him for a number of war crimes and terrorist acts, and yet, they chose to let him live free. Now, we see the results. A bus full of people injured, a good number of them dead. Was this not predictable, given Ghezali’s history and the fact that before he came to Gitmo, Ghezali lived at the Jalalabad hideout of Millennium Bomber Ahmed Ressam, something we knew after we captured Ressam years earlier?

A number of people are pointing to the phony Michigan driver’s license that Ghezali had on him. And, make no mistake, Michigan was picked for a reason, as it has a high number of Shi’ite Muslims and it is Hezbollah central. Although Mehdi Ghazali was a Sunni Muslim, his bombing in Bulgaria, yesterday, is yet more evidence that Sunni Al-Qaeda operatives are doing Shi’ite Iran’s and Hezbollah’s work, something that the know-it-alls, who actually know nothing, seem to miss. Yesterday’s bombing was done on behalf of the Shi’ites of Iran and Hezbollah. And their most concentrated mass of supporters in America is in Dearbornistan and Dearbornistan Heights, Michigan. As I noted yesterday, not only was the Bulgaria bus bombing done on the 18th anniversary of the 1994 Iran/Hezbollah bombing of the AMIA Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but the family of the man who did that bombing, Ibrahim Hussein Berro, live in Dearborn and proudly gave DNA to identify him. I would not be surprised if the reason that Ghezali had a fake Michigan driver’s license is that someone in Dearborn’s Shi’ite Muslim community made it for him and had the Michigan template easily available.

Some schmuck named Andy Worthington wrote an anti-Gitmo book alleging the “innocence” of Ghezali: “The Guantanamo Files: The Stories of the 774 Detainees in America’s Illegal Prison.” And before he bombed the bus and took other lives with his own in Bulgaria yesterday, Ghezali wrote a book against the U.S., detailing his stay at Hotel Gitmo and was planning a class-action lawsuit against America. But I guess there are no dead and injured Jews plus 72-revirginized in those pipe dreams. So, he sought richer jihadist pasture because George W. Bush and the Swedes gave him the chance.

By the way, Swedish intelligence agents were supposed to monitor Ghezali after his release from Gitmo. Hey, how did that monitoring work out? Ask his victims from yesterday. The ones who still have a pulse.

Last week, I told you about Najwa Karam, the Hezbollah-supporting fan of Hitler, who said on Lebanese television that her ideal guy would be part Hitler. As I also told you, Lebanese sources reported that Karam had Syrian officers as her bodyguards throughout Lebanon. Her music videos are posted on several Hezbollah channels on YouTube. I also told you that Karam, a judge on “Arabs Got Talent” and one of the most successful recording artists in the Middle East over the last decade, was the first Arab face of L’Oreal cosmetics. But, today, after I and DebbieSchlussel.com reader Janet Ellen Levy contacted L’Oreal, the cosmetics company fired Ms. Karam as its “Arab Ambassador.” I received written confirmation from both L’Oreal’s international spokeswoman and its American one. Muslims are everywhere . . . and so is their jihadist desire to murder Jews and Christians anywhere. To any idiot whose head is still adorned by loads of sand, today’s suicide bombing of Israeli tour buses in Bulgaria is yet more evidence of that. And this bombing was clearly an Iranian-Hezbollah operation, as it is the 18th anniversary of the Hezbollah/Iran bombing of the AMIA Jewish Friends center in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Muslims know that 18 is a good luck number and very symbolic in Judaism because the Hebrew letters that signify the number 18 spell out the word, “chai,” or life. That’s why they did this today. Oh, and by the way, lest you think this is a far away event, it isn’t. In fact, the identity of the Muslim Argentina suicide bomber, Ibrahim Hussein Berro, was determined after his proud Shi’ite Muslim Lebanese family members living in Dearbornistan, Michigan gave DNA so he could be identified.

Israel knew that Bulgaria was a fertile ground for terrorist plots against Israelis, but the Bulgarian government ignored calls for more security for Israeli tourists. Even if they hate Jews–and Bulgaria actually had a history of saving all Bulgarian Jewish citizens during the Holocaust–it’s bad for business, specifically Israeli tourism dollars. And, yet, they did nothing. Yes, Eastern Europe is still backward in many ways. And because of it between three and seven Israeli Jews are dead today (the reported numbers vary).

That food on US-bound planes isn’t screened and American flight schools are still training terrorists and illegal aliens shouldn’t be happening nearly 11 years after the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks on America. But it shouldn’t be a surprise. We are incompetent, weak, and addicted to security theater rather than actual national security. That’s why you have the Lesbionic woman and Eric Holder running the show. And not people actually concerned with the safety, security, and well-being of the American people. (Not that the Bush people were any better, and they were in charge for almost eight of those 11 years and also did nothing but bend over for Muslims at Ramadan iftar dinner parties). And now there is more of the same old carelessness and incompetence. Even those on the no-fly list aren’t on the no-learn-to-fly list or the no-fly-a-plane list. Absurd:

Foreign students are able to study at U.S. flight schools after entering the country illegally or without undergoing a security check required after the 2001 terror attacks, government investigators say.

The Government Accountability Office reported Wednesday that its investigators found that eight foreign nationals attending a Boston flight school in March 2010 had entered the country illegally. Seventeen more who received security checks had overstayed their allotted time in the country.

Hmmm . . . I’m not sure why we should be concerned. After all, Barack Obama told us that people like this who are under the age of 30 are “as American” as you and I “except on paper.” Right? Let ’em learn to fly. What could be the harm? What could go wrong?

Three of them had obtained pilot’s licenses, Steven Lord of the GAO told the House Homeland Security subcommittee on transportation security.

Investigators also found that an undisclosed number of foreigners among the 25,599 registered with the Federal Aviation Administration to train to fly were not in a Transportation Security Administration database and hadn’t applied for a security check. Read the rest of this entry »

This past weekend’s airline catering jihad against Business Class passengers, involving needles in food on U.S.-bound flights from the Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, should have been no surprise. And it’s yet more sigh-worthy evidence of predictable loopholes that should have been plugged long ago in the nearly 11 years since the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks on America. I long ago warned on this site and elsewhere of Muslim employees of airline catering concerns for several reasons. As I’ve noted, neither they nor the food is ever checked with the same security as airline passengers and their carry-ons. While neither you nor I can take drinks on a flight and they must be thrown out at security check points, the food goes through no screening and never has, nor do the people delivering it. And as I’ve noted, the same goes for airport employees here in the U.S. And there is even less security at foreign airports, where we have no control over much of anything. In fact, often airlines flying to the U.S. from foreign destinations refuse to give passenger manifests to the U.S. until the plane is in mid-air. That is why sometimes those on US-bound flights must land in Maine or turn around and land elsewhere. And the food and food service providers go through even less scrutiny.

I’ve also noted how individuals working for catering companies feeding U.S. troops were involved in Islamic terrorist plots. So, all of this was predictable. As I’ve pointed out on this site, Homeland Security sources told me that, after flying there to negotiate with them, Janet Napolitano couldn’t even get the Dutch and Schiphol officials to agree to allow our TSA to be involved in screening those who board US-bound flights. So, you can’t exactly expect the food to get more rigorous screening, but rather, less. As you watch this video, ignore effeminate FBI ABC consultant Brad Garrett, whose only expertise was as a kidnapping profiler and who is an Islamo-panderer. He’s full of crap when he says you cannot check all the food. If you can check the passengers and their bags, you can check the food far more easily. Food doesn’t have belts and shoes to remove or laptops to open. It doesn’t have to worry about TSA molestations, either. But bombs can easily be hidden in food. And it should have been regularly screened long ago.

Two passengers suffered minor injuries from needles found in the meat of sandwiches served aboard four Delta Air Lines flights from Amsterdam to the United States Sunday, federal officials report. And the FBI is now investigating those incidents.

The sandwiches were served to business class passengers, crew members and government employees flying from Amsterdam to the United States.

At least one batch of 17 sandwiches appeared to be made by a U.S. company based at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport. Those sandwiches were served board Delta’s flight to Minneapolis-St. Paul Sunday afternoon. Read the rest of this entry »

Walt Disney had a well earned reputation as an anti-Semite and Hitler fan (some of his cartoons had anti-Semitic themes, he welcomed Nazi filmmaker (and Hitler paramour) Leni Riefenstahl to Hollywood, and even the Walt Disney Museum acknowledges that he had “difficult relationships” with Jews). And now, his great-niece, multi-millionaire investor, Hillary Clinton supporter, and Huffington Post contributor Abigail Disney, has come full circle. She’s now officially supporting the anti-Semitic boycott of Israel. And she’s donating money to the HAMAS cause. And, as Martin Luther King Jr. said, if you hate Israel, you hate the Jews. It’s that simple.

Abigail Disney, a descendant of one of the Disney Company founders, said Monday that she is renouncing her share of the family’s profits in the Israeli cosmetics company Ahava, saying it is engaged in the “exploitation of occupied natural resources.”

Disney said she will donate the profits and a sum equal to the worth of her shares to “organizations working to end this illegal exploitation.” Disney, 52, a filmmaker and businesswoman, is the granddaughter of Roy O. File under Not Safe For Work . . . and Skank Sarah Silverman, You Do Not Speak for the Jews, so STFU.

Normally, I ignore people, like Sarah Silverman, who pretend to speak for the Jews and cause us more anti-Semitism than was there before. Videos like the one she just made and posted-sexually vulgar, completely inapprorpriate and disgusting, make Jews look bad. But I can’t ignore it because it’s out there and people will see it and say, “Hey, a Jewish organization paid for this vile piece of crap in favor of Obama.” They won’t notice that it’s a stupid, sickening video attacking another Jew, Sheldon Adelson, who is a proud Republican, or that the pseudo-Jewish name of the organization paying for it, the respectable-sounding, “Jewish Council for Education and Research,” is actually an Obama Super-PAC allied with far-left, anti-Israel causes. So, I have to point that out. Like my review of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” garbage, I’m embarrassed to post this disgusting video on my site. But, again, it’s out there, and it needs to be responded to. Oh, and by the way, the video is NOT SAFE FOR WORK. Yet, Obama hasn’t denounced it. Why not, Barack? The video about sexual functions and bodily fluids does not belong in any political campaign. It’s for sickos. And clearly Sarah Silverman and her benefactors at the pseudo-Jewish PAC are included in that category. They are warped. The only conclusion one gets from this gross video is, “Look at those vile Obama-supporting Jews.” Thanks, Sarah Silverman. Again, she does NOT speak for us. Someone needs to tell her she’s not funny. Just humiliating. . . especially herself. And the animal. Where the heck is PETA a/k/a PUTAh (People for the Unethical Treatment of Animals and humans) when you need them?

I’m often asked why Jews are so liberal and so many voted for Obama. The fact is that religious Jews who are not JINOs (Jews In Name Only) are, indeed, conservative and voted mostly for John McCain. The rest are what I call congenital Jews. They know nothing about the religion but like to pretend that because they were born into it, it must be liberalism, rather than what are very conservatives tenets. They’ve assimilated and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren probably won’t be Jews in the long run. That said, I do wonder about those who constantly ask me why the Jews voted for Obama. First of all, the figure of 78% that’s often quoted is not accurate, because it’s based on a few exit polls in the tri-state area, not representative of Jews across America. Moreover, why do you care about the Jewish vote? We are less than 5.2 million Americans, and many of those are children, not yet eligible to vote. Even if every single Jew voted for John McCain, Barack Obama would still be President today. So, those who blame the Jews for Obama are just plain, flat-out anti-Semites. On the other hand, they are aided and irked by the likes of this skank, Sarah Silverman, another JINO who doesn’t speak for me. And she causes people who aren’t anti-Semites to lean that way. She deigns to speak for me when I never hired or elected her. And that she made this vile video is beyond the pale.
