Some of your comments are missing, even though they were posted earlier today.  It’s not because I removed comments disagreeing with me.  It’s because earlier today, we switched my site to a different server.  If your comment is now missing, it is because there was a period of a few hours during which posted comments didn’t transfer to the new server.  It’s a glitch, and I’m sorry for that.  I have a copy of some of the comments (at least, the new comments on the Gabby Giffords post) and will see if I’m able to enter them myself, manually.  Again, I’m sorry for the problem. After mooching at the public trough for more than a year, Congresschick Gabby Giffords will finally resign this week, a move that passed the “it’s about time” point long ago.  I’ve written about this a few times (here and here), and several readers have noted that it’s better to have a liberal Democrat in Congress who generally doesn’t vote then an active participant liberal.  But, as you know, that’s not how I look at it.

Giffords milked the system big-time.  She remained on full pay as a U.S. Congresswoman, with well over $200,000 in annual salary and benefits, despite not being at work for over a year.  That’s something that the rest of America would never get, despite paying for it for her.  She also got the best therapy, the best rehab, the best medical care money can buy–something the average American will never get, even on Obamacare–which the hypocrite Giffords supported but didn’t make applicable to Congressmen like her (in fact, they will get far less of it under Obamacare).  While she was on fully-paid leave for a year, she and her hubby wrote and marketed a book and did media appearances to promote it.  Read the rest of this entry »

Most of the new movies, this weekend, are ho-hum, but there’s one I enjoyed.

*  “Haywire“:  I really enjoyed this.  It’s a light but stylized thriller, with mild intrigue and lots of fights and action.  If you liked Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), you’ll especially like this, as its star is first-time movie actress, Gina Carano, a real life MMA champion.  Normally, I hate movies in which petite women, like Palestina Jolie beat up multiple men who are much larger than they are.  This is different because Carano is bigger, a little more butch, a lot more muscular, and she’s a lot more believable (except when she beats up the much taller and bigger and very hot Channing Tatum).

Carano is a black-ops secret agent who works for a government contractor.  She’s been set up and marked for death by her bosses during a mission in Ireland, and she can’t figure out why.  The rest of the movie shows her trying to not only escape more bad guys, but discover what’s actually going on and why.  Lots of chases and more.  You won’t fall asleep during this one. Yesterday, the King of the real “Palestine,” King Abdullah Bin Hussain of Jordan, attacked Israel in a Wall Street Journal op-ed piece, calling for a Palestinian State on Israeli land.  That’s because he, a member of the Hashemite minority in Jordan, doesn’t want to give the Palestinian majority, which may be as high as 90-some % of the Jordanian population, a state where they should really have one, if any:  Jordan.  So, to alleviate that “problem,” he married a Palestinian who lives in the country of Fifth Avenue, New York and occasionally makes appearances in Jordan, when she’s not doing propaganda work with Oprah Winfrey or others among her minions of butt-kissers.

And while many Jordanians–particularly Jordanian Palestinians–live in poverty and have a very low standard of living, Palestinian Queen Rania has a new way to show them how to really live, something you should remember the next time the Jordanian mini-King and his Queen attack Israel or mention “poverty” in Gaza or the “oppressed” Palestinians:

An Indian jeweller has been hired to make golden shoes for Jordan’s Queen Rania Al-Abdullah.

The Calcutta jeweller, who wants to remain anonymous, has been asked to make two pairs of 22 carat gold shoes.

I couldn’t care less what Jenny Sanford or anyone else thinks of Newt Gingrich and the nothing interview, last night, of Marianne Gingrich on ABC News “Nightline,” etc.  But it’s all over the news.  Why?  We all know Newt cheated.  It’s old news.  And I didn’t see anything new on the ABC interview last night, other than discovering that Marianne Gingrich is not good at fake-laughing.  If you didn’t like Newt for the three-wife thing a year ago, you probably don’t like him now.  If you liked him, despite that, last night’s interview shouldn’t have made a difference.  Nor should the ex-wife of an ex-governor’s opinion.  My problems with Gingrich (and Romney) are related to other issues I’ve detailed ad nauseam on this site.  But the former Mrs. Sanford isn’t exactly somebody who should be talking about cheating and whether or not it should affect the vote.  Remember, this woman admitted that she agreed to marry  Mark Sanford despite the fact that he demanded removing the agreement to remain “faithful” from the wedding vows (to which she acquiesced).

If you marry someone after that, you’ve given them license to cheat and you know that’s gonna happen.  Only a moron agrees to that, then is shocked–shocked!–that hubby cheated. With Marianne Gingrich, she kinda knew this would happen, as Gingrich cheated with her on wife #1. Read the rest of this entry »

File this outrage under: How the Department of Homeland Security “Practices” the “If You See Something, Say Something” Policy Internally.

An Islamic top Department of Homeland Security official steals and launders almost $2 million to Jordan–perhaps to Palestinian terrorists–and gets a mere slap on the wrist–a year in federal prison.  That’s what happened yesterday to Ahmed Adil Abdallat.

In May 2011, I told you about Ahmed Adil Abdallat, the top Homeland Security official, who apparently stole and laundered around $2 million in Homeland Security money to bank accounts in Jordan.  Abdallat, a Muslim Jordanian–which means he’s a Palestinian, was a top intelligence analyst for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  He made at least 11 unauthorized trips to Jordan (using his diplomatic passport), where federal investigators linked him to bank accounts containing $1.2 million, in addition to nearly $600,000 in wire transfers to Jordan in fraudulently-obtained funds he got by submitting to and getting reimbursed by Homeland security for fake travel expenses.   What is even more outrageous is that his direct boss, James M. Woosley (not to be confused with former CIA Director James M. Woolsey), the then-Director of Intelligence for ICE, was in on the scheme and was paid off by accepting his cut. So, we have a GOP Presidential candidate who will probably NOT be the nominee, and an interview with his Wife #2 about his sex life is all over the mainstream media.  And yet, we’ve yet to see an interview or video on ABC News or in the Washington Post with sitting President Barack Obama’s “down low” ex-girlfriend, Larry Sinclair.  Why?  After all, if it’s okay to continue to broadcast what we already know–that Newt cheated, why won’t they give equal time to the Obama cheated story? Equal time for equally unsubstantiated “he cheated” videos.

I’ve never ever mentioned or posted the Larry Sinclair video before because I think it’s sleazy and uncorroborated.  But the same goes for this Marianne Gingrich stuff and yet it’s all over network news, etc.  Fair is fair.  And if they won’t broadcast it, I will.  What’s good for the goose is good for the Obama. The Sinclair incident allegedly happened when Obama was already married to Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Hussein Obama Idi Amin Dada. That’s cheatin’.

For the record, I’ve met Marianne Gingrich over the years, when she was still married to Newt.  She seemed like a nice lady, and I understand the “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” phenomenon.  Still, it’s time to move on.  We already know he cheated.  He’s admitted to it and apologized, which Bill Clinton never did.  Ever.  Nor did Obama.  And I’m not so sure the Larry Sinclair story isn’t true.
