Two new charter schools in Detroit bear the name of famous Black men.  One is the Dr. Benjamin Carson School of Science and Medicine, named for the brilliant, renowned brain surgeon who is a light to all American kids, regardless of race. The other, the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, is named for a former NBA basketball player who said that Black kids whose parents are educated and married to each other are Uncle Toms. Which school would you want your kids to attend? If you are one of the many brainless zombies who watched the “Fab Five” thug-life glorification documentary on ESPN over the weekend, you might sadly prefer the latter. It seems the American public has already made that determination.

Last weekend, ESPN broadcast its most highly-rated documentary ever.  The show was about the famed “Fab Five,” University of Michigan basketball players (including Jalen Rose), some of whom accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars from a bookie, Ed Martin, who lived just around the block from where I grew up.  This violated their status as amateurs and college student-athletes.  I took special offense to the documentary, especially because of the continued fascination with thugs–Black AND White–who were given everything and it still wasn’t enough.  Now, they feel entitled and have giant chips on their shoulders, calling everyone a racist.  I had my own not-very-pleasant encounter with the Fab Five thugs.  More about that later on in this post.

Probably the most disgusting part of ESPN’s Fab Five documentary was the part in which college and pro basketball player Grant Hill–a wholesome upstanding player–was maligned by Fab Five member Jalen Rose (who doubled as producer of the documentary).  Rose said Hill was an “Uncle Tom” and a “Bitch” because both his parents were married to each other and are educated and hard-working.  Yeah, that’s the attitude to give to Black kids in America, Jalen.  Because, hey, we don’t want the ten percent of Black Kids still born with two parents and an intact family to get the wrong idea about what’s hip and what’s “Uncle Tom”ish. Oh, and by the way, no biggie that Rose founded a tax-funded charter school bearing his name in the City of Detroit. Good to know the guy who wants his name on a school doesn’t think the Black kids who populate it should be married and educated because that would constitute Uncle Tomism.

As you know, today is St. Patrick’s Day, celebrating the Irishman who allegedly drove all the snakes out of Ireland.  (To my Irish readers, I don’t believe it–are there really no snakes in Ireland?)  Over the years, I’ve written about the fastest growing religion in Ireland:  Islam.  And in fact, the Muslims in Ireland, like elsewhere in the West are extremist and intolerant.  Erin Go Burka.

Today, consumption of Guinness Beer is down significantly, and the company is reeling.  Also, nearly 2,000 Irish pubs have closed in the last five years.  The company and the Irish are blaming the disastrous Irish economy.   But I think something else is at play, too:  Islam.  It’s just that the company, the country, and various reporters won’t dare say it because 1)  it reminds us of the intolerance of Islam and its religious restrictions, and 2) it would be politically incorrect and offend Muslims (as everything, including the existence of oxygen, offends them).

Guinness consumption in Ireland had been falling slowly for years as Irish drinkers abandoned pubs to imbibe at home, switched to alternatives and trimmed their alcohol consumption generally. But Ireland’s latest woes, which led to a €67.5 billion ($92.8 billion) bailout for the country’s banks in December, dealt an extra blow to Guinness.

Just got back from the Muslim satellite state of Dearbornistan, where I was interviewed by the BBC.  The Beeb people are here in the States shooting a television documentary on Islam in America, which, in my view, is just about ten or 15 years  “behind” Islam in Great Britain in terms of reaching critical mass and getting our country to bend in even more extreme ways to Islamic mores.

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about how conservatives hypocritically either glamorize or ignore out-of-wedlock births in their ranks.  But I forgot to include Ted Nugent.  A few years ago–when I also wrote about Nugent’s multiple instances of draft-dodging (including getting a phony student deferment while he went on tour with his band)–I reported that Nugent fathered seven kids with five different women, only two of whom he married.  But I was wrong.  It’s now EIGHT KIDS with SIX different WOMEN on the Ted Nugent babydaddy scoreboard. Yet, conservatives, like his good friend Sean Hannity, continue to embrace this draft-dodging babydaddy.

It’s hilarious to read Ted Nugent’s book, “Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto” which has a whole chapter lecturing Black America on “sexual ethics” and “sexual restraint,” and beseeches Black men to stop fathering children out of wedlock, telling them about the horrible results that happen to kids born without a dad.  Um, Ted, POT. KETTLE.  BLACK.  (Or in this case, White.) And that’s not to mention, that Nugent even got the parents of a teen girl to sign her over to him as her legal guardian, so he could have sex with her, just like his friend Steven Tyler also did with a teen girl.

As I noted recently, you won’t see hypocrite Mike Huckabee criticizing single mother Bristol Palin the way he did single mother Natalie Portman because he’ll only criticize liberals and non-FOX News affiliated babymamas and babydaddies.  So don’t look for Hucksterbee to say a word about his FOX News colleague, John Roberts, a newly-minted babydaddy. Ditto for Bill O’Reilly who criticized Jennifer Aniston for playing a single mother in a movie, but hasn’t said a word about Bristol Palin or Roberts and won’t.

Roberts, 54 and FOX News’ senior national correspondent, just had twins with girlfriend/CNN anchor Kyra Phillips, 42.  No, they are not married.  It’s ironic that the couple made great effort to pick out very fancy-sounding, pretentious names for their new kids, Sage Ann and Kellan Clay, but just couldn’t bring themselves to do the most basic classy thing:  get married.

I’ve posted several items, including very graphic photos, of the Palestinian Muslim stabbing murder of the Fogel Family of Itamar, Israel, while they were sleeping on the Jewish Sabbath.  But what I didn’t note is an important detail of the Muslims’ bloody murder of these innocent Jewish civilians.  That detail is that the three-month-old baby girl, Hadas Fogel, was decapitated.

Why haven’t you seen that detail–that Palestinian Muslims, Israel’s “partners for peace” severed the head of a living, breathing three-month-old baby–anywhere in the mainstream media? I guess Jewish life is cheap and disposable. And we can’t have innocent, harmless Jewish babies and the details of their brutal murders get in the way of our pandering and political correctness toward this violent, disgusting religion, Islam.

Why would a candy store owner sell candy “G-string underwear” to kids?  Because the almighty buck wins out over any sense of ethics.  That’s what I saw, today, at a Detroit-area candy store.

Sweet Thing Candy Store Not So Sweet For Kids

I just returned from a critics’ movie screening of a flick that is Exhibit A of when I tell you that sitting through all this dreck ain’t a bed of roses.  The movie, whose name I can’t give you until the day the movie debuts and I post my review, was your typical Hollywood fare:  overtly anti-Christian, gratuitously violent, disgusting piece of crap.  But that’s not the story here.  The story is the new candy store I stopped into on the way out, what it was selling, and what the store owner told me.

The screening was in Birmingham, a swanky Detroit suburb, which is sort of like the winter version of Miami’s Coconut Grove.  Expensive boutiques, fancy cars, high-priced lawyers’ offices, people who think they are supermodels, and other typical accoutrements of pretension.  And on the way to my car, I popped into a new candy store, “Sweet Thing,” which I wanted to check out.  I eschew almost all sugar from my diet, but every once in a while, if there is a new store and some interesting type of candy, I will make that rare exception.

As I walked around the store–which is clearly marketed toward kids, as are almost all of its items for sale–I noticed that the store had a stack of “Candy G-Strings,” thong underwear made of little candy disks a la candy necklaces.  While I was paying for the gum and cinnamon breath spray I bought, I asked the woman who identified herself as the owner, “What happens when kids ask their parents to buy them candy G-strings?” Read the rest of this entry »

I hate reality shows, but the networks keep giving us more and more of that crap because it’s cheap to make and gets enough ratings to justify the minimal cost.  America is full of boring, semi-decent-looking attention-whore fame-seekers looking for their fifteen minutes, who will “perform” for free.  And the worst is “The Bachelor” (and the corresponding “The Bachelorette”) on which 25 women voluntarily become concubines, then get mad when it doesn’t last and they are treated . . . like concubines.  The vapid, America-dumbed-down-to-the-nth show is soooo predictable, down to the stale, “the most dramatic rose ceremony ever” descriptor.  But you gotta hand it to Jimmy Kimmel’s brilliant producers who did this great job of editing these videos from last night’s two-time “Bachelor” Brad Womack, a tool and a phony if there ever was one.  If there ever was a himbo (male bimbo), he’s it. I guess you can use the same pick up line twice . . . or three times or . . . on national television and get away with it. This is pretty funny. . .

Just as an American is sentenced to rot in Cuban prison for fifteen years for no legit reason, Barack Obama eases more restrictions on the Communist island nation of Cuba.

Last week, the Obama administration announced the easing of restrictions on direct flights to Cuba, allowing several major cities in America to start taking off directly to the giant prison nation.  The Obama-ites did this because they believe the Castro Bros dictatorship is “liberalizing.”  How ironic that just after this move, the Cuban government responds by sentencing American citizen Alan Gross to 15 years in the ultimate hell:  Cuban prison.

Last year, I told you about Gross.  A U.S. Government contractor from Maryland, he brought computer gear to Cuba’s Jewish community, so its members could have internet access.  I told you about this because  the mainstream media was instead covering Raul Castro’s phony participation in a Cuban Jewish Chanukah celebration, while Gross rotted in jail for helping the same Jewish community.  Yesterday, he was sentenced to fifteen years in Cuban prison for allegedly “working on a subversive U.S.-sponsored project aimed at undermining Cuba’s communist system.”  And, as we all know, that’s baloney.  He is a prisoner of conscience if there ever was one. Gross’ mission was far more noble and courageous than those of the unduly lauded Lara Logan, Laura Ling, etc.–who were in dangerous countries for their own selfish journalistic stardom. But don’t hold your breath for Bill Clinton to fly in on Al Gore’s plane to get Gross out of Cuban prison.

I’m sure more than a few race-baiters will call me “racist!!!!” for posting this outrageous crime story, which is so typical of the disgusting kind of crime that goes on in D-Mecca (the Black Muslim Five Percenters Nation’s name for the city).  That’s because they–the true racists–will assume the perpetrator here is Black.  I assume that, too.  But I also assume that his victim is Black.  Those are the odds given the details.

A warrant request for a 14-year-old accused of raping a 26-year-old woman was turned over to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office juvenile division, the office announced today.
