Not AGAIN.
Laura Bush ALREADY did this, last year, and I wrote about the absurdity of it all. But, in the Bush Administration, every dumb pander to Islam must be repeated a million times over.
The last time Laura Bush went on a Middle East tour, she lectured the Islamic folks there about the most pressing problem facing women. If you thought the prob was female genital mutilation/clitorectomies, honor killings, honor suicides, being forced to wear a hijab, niqab, or burqa, forced arranged marriages, or the lack of rights of women to obtain a divorce, own property, or drive, you would be . . . . WRONG!

Nope. Facing death by stoning or beheading for going the wrong way on any one of the items noted above ain’t a big thing to good ole girl Laura.
Instead, she highlighted the one thing that is ultimately less preventable and deliberate . . . Breast Cancer.
And now she’s gonna do it again. Breast Cancer Awareness will be the focus of her October 20-26 trip to the Mid-East, where she’ll meet with IslamoFascist Kings.
Because, who cares that you are about to be gang-raped and then beheaded by your brothers for allowing the gang-rape to happen because a hair was sticking out of your head-scarf and you deserved it? You might just have a lump and you gotta do those monthly exams. Marie Antoinette said, “Let Them Eat Cake.” Laura Bush says, “Let Them Wear Pink Ribbons.”
One of her stops, Jordan, pointedly voted down a law outlawing honor killings. The others, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia (where woman can’t drive), and Kuwait, all permit it.
Pink ribbons from Laura in a nation of Black hijabs, early coffins, and blood running in the streets from “Chop-Chop Square’s” latest activities (beheadings of “adulterous” or otherwise disobedient women). Way to go, Bushie-ette.
And then there is that little issue of “Breast Cancer Apartheid” practiced in 3 of Mrs. Bush’s four stops (Jordan is the exception): They don’t allow Jews from the country that has made so many Breast Cancer research advances to enter their countries. As I wrote when she made her Islamo-Breast Cancer Awareness Tour, last year:

There is a country in the Middle East that is a world leader in cancer research, treatment, and technology. That country, Israel, is a world leader in the breast cancer fight. Unfortunately, it is also a country that is boycotted by both Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Though Israel has allowed many patients from Islamic countries into Israel, Israeli doctors are not allowed into Saudi Arabia or the UAE. No Israeli citizens are nor any Jews. Israeli products, including cancer medicines developed and manufactured in Israel or by Israeli companies, are NOT allowed in. Nor are they allowed to be purchased. It’s part of the official Arab boycott of Israel that is ongoing.
On this site, we’ve reported on the travel apartheid, tennis apartheid, and even thoroughbred horse-racing apartheid against Jews practiced by these countries in compliance with the Arab boycott. So why does Mrs. Bush condone this? And why is she speaking on breast cancer issues in countries that deny their citizens the benefits of important life-saving treatments and medical professionals, merely because both emanate from a Jewish state? In Saudi Arabia, women can’t even drive themselves to the doctor for a breast exam/mammogram. They’re not allowed to drive. Period. In both Islamic countries, women can’t get divorces and they are killed in honor killings, something that is far more preventable than breast cancer.
But Mrs. Bush is glossing over all of that with the broad stroke of the PC cause of breast cancer. She can wear all the pink ribbons she wants. But speaking out on breast cancer in countries which have far deeper cancers that inspire deliberate murder around the world–not to mention, the murder of their own women, is like putting lipstick on a pig. And being laughed at by all the pigs in the poke, while you keep falling over in their slop.
Shame on you, Mrs. Bush.

But not to worry. Laura Bush’s spokeswoman wants people to know that she won’t don the headscarf while meeting up with the Saudi King and his royal Al-Saud family of Bush cronies. That’s for the little people:

“They do not expect nor encourage it,” of Western visitors at official meetings, said Bush’s spokeswoman, Sally McDonough. “As members of the official traveling party, we will not need to wear any head scarves or abayas at any point”

Oh, goody. No prob, though, that America’s military women and lower level government employees must cover up from head to toe. Just so long as the female Bushie doesn’t have to.
Laura, You’re Doin’ a Heckuva Job. T minus 14.5 months of this misguided Presidency.
Not that I’m looking forward to the Hillary Rodham Cankles Administration. Bill Clinton will probably make breast cancer awareness his issue, too . . . so long as he gets to do the monthly mammary exams.

Oh, and one other thing: Doesn’t Mrs. Bush know that Muslims are upset that Breast Cancer Awareness–and Black History–get a whole month? Hello . . . . .

Myers a/k/a “The ICE Princess'” keynote address at the Hezbollah social club, sharing the stage with immigration defrauder and “former” Islamic terrorist Imad Hamad, and honoring Judges who thwart ICE agents’ efforts.
Many of the e-mails are from ICE and FBI agents, others from citizens who are outraged. Most of them are like this one from a career FBI agent, whose name and identity I have redacted:

As a retired FBI Agent, I just want to thank you for following up on Julie Myers. If she is qualified for her DHS position, then Michael Brown and Alberto Gonzalez must have been overqualified. Bush has to stop appointments like hers before he gives cronyism a bad name. What a slap in the face to the men and women of ICE.

Exactly. He gets it.
Many e-mailers are in disbelief that The ICE Princess actually went through with this meeting. Sadly, I’m told that she, indeed, did. But, FYI, the event was NOT open to the public. Why not? What did she tell the Islamofascists, the Hezbollah supporters, the illegal aliens, and lax judges she was feting? Why is it such a secret?
And FYI, usually, when ADC and Imad Hamad have these meetings and speakers, it is reported upon by the Detroit Newsistan and the Free Press, both of whom have Islamo-pandering reporters on that beat. Not this time. Myers probably wanted to keep this as hush-hush as it’s been kept.
Wouldn’t want the American people and 100 U.S. Senators who vote on her nomination soon to get wind of it, would we?
But there are ways to find out what Myers said at this event. And I’m working on it. Stay tuned.

Wow. That’s me envisioning the hilarious Republican campaign commericals about Hillary Clinton and her Woodstock buds and how they paid her off after she paid them off . . . with YOUR tax money.
Yup, Hillary Clinton and her colleague Sen. Charles “Chuckie” Schumer pushed a Senate committee to approve $1 million in tax-funding for a Woodstock concert museum, as part of the Senate education spending bill. That’s right–it was one of those nasty earmarks we must get rid of.
And–Quelle Coincidence!–just days after that, Hillary and Chuckie received $29,200 from museum proprietor/billionaire Alan Gerry as a giant “thank you.”

Several questions:
1) Um, why do taxpayers need to fund a museum dedicated to the unworthy several muddy, rainy days of drug-addled, anti-war, counterculture debauchery on someone’s farm in the ’60s?
2) Why the heck does a billionaire–Gerry is a former cable TV mogul with gobs and gobs of money–need working stiff taxpayers to fund this monument to excess and idiocy?
Yup, while working-class taxpayers are taxed up the butt for smoking ciggies, their money is going to a billionaire to fund a museum glorifying the imbecility that was Woodstock . . . all courtesy of Hillary.

On the federal level, Gerry, his wife and three children have given $507,800 since 1998, including $272,050 to Democrats and $212,750 to Republicans, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Gerry’s wife, Sandra, is a registered Democrat.
Most of the Democratic recipients helped the Woodstock venture. Since 2005, the Gerrys have donated $150,000 to the Schumer-led Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and $18,600 to Clinton.
Rep. Maurice Hinchey, D-N.Y., who earmarked $200,000 for the project in 2003, has received $19,500 since 1998. Hinchey spokesman Jeff Lieberson said the project would offer a “huge economic boost.”
Gerry bought the site in Bethel, N.Y., a decade ago to make it a tourist center. A performing arts center opened last year. The two-story museum, under construction, will place Woodstock in the context of the 1960s counterculture movement.
The million-dollar earmark was included in a Senate education spending bill that came out of committee on June 21. On June 26, the Gerrys and two of their children who sit on the foundation’s board made $20,000 in contributions to the Schumer-led Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. On June 30, the couple made $9,200 in contributions to Clinton’s presidential campaign – the maximum allowed by law.

Again, can’t wait for this campaign commercial. And since I know that many GOP consultants in DC and elsewhere read this site, I’m chomping at the bit. Make sure to show footage of muddy, greasy long-haired concertgoers smoking doobies.
BTW, What ever happened to: I went to Woodstock and all I got was this lousy T-shirt?
Now, they go to Woodstock, and taxpayers fund their lousy museum.

These Imbeciles Need a Tax-Funded Museum?!

Whenever the tabloid “Weekly World News” would feature a cover photo of any Presidential candidate “shaking hands with” an illegal alien, my Dad would buy it and post it in his office. His favorite was Hillary and Bill with the alien. Now, though, photoshopping may not be necessary to get a story about how the candidates would deal with that all-important national security issue (hey Media Matters Nazis, before you issue a report, I’m joking).
A kid asked Rudy Giuliani what his plan of attack is against extraterrestrial aliens, should they choose to attack. Here’s Rudy’s video response to that question about national, er . . . galactic security. It’s actually a cute and funny exchange.

So long as he doesn’t go the route of President Jack Nicholson in “Mars Attacks.” That seems to be our exact road with the Islamic world.

Two-and-a-half cheers for the family of missing Israeli soldier Ron Arad. Gone since 1986, Arad is believed to be held either in Iran or by Hezbollah in Lebanon, where he was captured by the Shi’ite Amal Militia (once headed by former Detroiter Nabih Berri, Head of the Lebanese Parliament who negotiated on behalf of Hezbollah in the TWA 847 hijacking).

The Arads publicly oppose the release of an Iranian terrorist by Germany in exchange for the freedom of Isreali soldiers. The Iranian is a high-value prisoner, as he’s an intelligence official. I wish I could say that this takes special guts and a genuine understanding of the world of terrorism. I wish I could say that, despite their suffering and the ongoing quest for Ron Arad’s return, they get it. But they are not openly opposing the exchange of terrorists for kidnapped Israeli soldiers. They are only opposing it because their father/brother is not also part of the exchange. I can’t say I blame them. But reasonable minds oppose all exchanges, deals, etc. with terrorists . . . whether or not it involves your father, brother, or a total stranger.
The Arads flew to Germany to impress the point on officials there and demand that the Iranian prisoner not be released. I hope hope they are more successful than the family of U.S. Navy Diver Robert Dean Stethem, who tried in vain to stop Germany from releasing their brother’s Hezbollah killer to freedom.
This is in slight contrast with Noam Shalit, the annoying left-wing father of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, about whom I’ve written. He has become something like Israel’s Cindy Sheehan, partying it up with the family of a Palestinian terrorist and demanding that hundreds of terrorist murderers be released, whether or not it is in exchange for his son. Either way, these terrorist releases are a big mistake.
Right now, the Iranian prisoner/intelligence officer in Germany is scheduled to be exchanged for two other Isreali soldiers, captured last summer at the start of the Israel-Hezbollah war.
You deal with terrorists, you get burned . . . or blown up.

A day before the 21st anniversary of navigator Ron Arad’s capture, his daughter and brother flew to Germany on Monday to meet with Attorney-General Monica Harms, in a final attempt to prevent the release of Iranian intelligence officer Kazem Darabi, who was sentenced to life in prison in 1991 in German custody.
They left before the Israel-Hizbullah exchange on Monday evening was announced.
Arad’s daughter Yuval and his brother Chen refused comment to the press, while the media reported rumors of a deal between Germany and Iran to release Darabi in exchange for reservists Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser, whose kidnapping by Hizbullah launched the Second Lebanon War last summer. Both Regev and Goldwasser were at one time believed to have been transferred to Iran soon after their capture – both Israel and Iran, however, have since denied that claim.
The Arad family believes senior Iranian officer Darabi to be one of their final hopes for a prisoner exchange leading to Ron’s release.
Arad’s fate has been a mystery since 1986, after he ejected from his F-4 Phantom II over Lebanon during a mission to bomb PLO targets near Sidon.
Originally captured by Amal, a Shi’ite Militia, it is believed that Arad was sold to Hizbullah in 1988. Over the past two decades, various signs of life from Arad have been made public, though the evidence has largely been inconclusive, leading many Israelis to believe him dead.
The most recent news of Arad surfaced in 2006 when Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hizbullah, said he believed him dead. In August of 2006, a previously unseen video of Arad smoking a cigarette in his cell was released. In the video – believed to have been filmed in 1988 – he lists his training and studies, speaking in muffled, at times inaudible English.
One organization which is continuing to raise awareness not only about Arad, but about other Israeli MIAs as well, is the Born to Freedom Foundation. The foundation is offering $10 million for any new and relevant information that can lead to the rescue of Arad, Guy Hever, Zvi Feldman or Yehuda Katz.
The Born to Freedom Foundation has been at the forefront of seeking information on Arad, spurring thousands of people worldwide to participate in an effort to uncover new activity in the case.
Eyal Ben-Reuven, who took charge of the Born to Freedom Foundation only a few weeks ago, spoke with The Jerusalem Post about the Arad family’s latest attempt to secure information about Ron.
“The [Arad] family feels that we need to continue to put forth every effort in order to bring him home‚Ķ they feel it’s a responsibility of the government to solve the issue and bring him home,” Ben-Reuven explained.
“We continue to believe that [Ron Arad] is alive – that is the basis of our organization – and we will do everything we can‚Ķ to bring him home.”

Again, no terrorist prisoners should be released in exchange for Israeli soldiers. America has it right: We officially never deal with terrorists (other than on our own soil, definitely a mistake).
Time for Israel to copy that and for America to encourage it.

So, in trying to save her Senate confirmation chances, will Julie Myers rethink this boneheaded decision and cancel her appearance tonight? Don’t bet on it.
Bet on one thing, though: A lot of Democratic U.S. Senators, gunning for ill-advised Bush nominees, read the New York Post. More than are willing to admit it.

So long as it’s not “Allah,” I’m glad they’re putting G-d back in the certificates that accompany flags flown over the U.S. Capitol and other federal buildings.
Our money says, “In G-d We Trust.” Our Pledge of Allegiance (for now) includes “one nation under G-d”. Our love is for G-d, Country, and Family, not just the latter two. And in a reversal of ACLU-esque policy, the acting architect of the U.S. Capitol is allowing this, thanks to sharp, 17-year-old Eagle Scout Andrew Larochelle:

Lesson learned: The next time a 17-year-old Eagle Scout wants a flag flown over the Capitol to honor his grandather’s dedication to God, country and family, it will be fine by Stephen T. Ayres.
Ayres is acting architect of the Capitol, the official responsible for maintaining the tradition of flying the Stars and Stripes for members of the public. Any American may ask, through his or her representatives in Congress, that the flag be flown in honor of a person or event. After the big day, it is mailed, slightly used, with a certificate of authenticity, to the person who requested it.
It was Ayres’ office that was responsible for the disappointment of Andrew Larochelle. The 17-year-old Eagle Scout from Dayton, Ohio, had asked that Old Glory be flown last Sept. 11 in honor of his grandfather, veteran Marcel Larochelle, and his dedication to and love of the aforementioned trinity.
But when the flag arrived, Larochelle found that his sentiments had been edited: The certificate issued by Ayres’ office read that the flag had flown in honor of his grandfather‚Äôs dedication and love of country and family only.
Ayres cited a four-year-old rule that barred political or religious statements from the certificates.
That drew protests from Rep. Michael Turner, Larochelle’s congressman. The Ohio Republican gathered the signatures of more than 160 members of Congress for a letter of complaint to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and introduced legislation to reverse the policy.
“They are attempting to take God from the Pledge of Allegiance and now the architect is attempting to remove God from the certificates that come with flags flown over the Capitol,” Turner said. “The word ‘God’ is carved into the walls of both chambers of Congress. The architect is the custodian of the Capitol and currently maintains several religious symbols in the building. If permitted, removing ‘God’ from Capitol flag ceremonies will be the precedent for removing ‘God’ from the Capitol, and this cannot be permitted.”
Today, Ayres reversed the policy. The acting architect since February, he said the decision followed a review of guidelines that were codified in 2003 but had been practiced since the 1970s.
“My review revealed that, in fact, these rules have been inconsistently applied and that it is inappropriate and beyond the scope of this Agency’s responsibilities to censor messages from Members,” Ayres said. “The Architect’s role is to certify that flags are appropriately flown over the U.S. Capitol, and any messages on the flag certificates are personal and between a Member of Congress and his or her constituents.”

He (finally) got that right. G-d help this great nation.

In this day of the United States of Snoop Doggia, old traditions may die easily. But some don’t actually die. It’s just that the recipient of those traditions is dying out easily, or rather, kicked out.
The Boston Globe ran an extensive piece claiming that asking a woman’s father for permission to ask for her hand in marriage is out of style. Or is it?
What I got from the story is that now, since there are so few Dads allowed to be around, a guy must ask “More Masculine Mommy #2” for permission. Or Universal Parent a/k/a Single Mother/Donated Sperm Receptacle #1. Or Baby Momma “Fantasia.” It’s confusing, and a guy doesn’t know where to turn:

“No decent respectable guy would marry someone whose father disapproved,” says [Rev. Atu] White, 27 [of Bethel AME Church in Jamaica Plain]. “If she didn’t grow up with a dad, then speak to her mother or the closest guardian.”

You know what that means. If there’s no dad, which unfortunately, there often isn’t today, it’s the options above. For example,

Um, Uh, Large Marge, can I have your permission to marry your lover Susan’s daughter, whom she conceived with the sperm from Vial #ZX985791?

And here’s the other thing I learned: As far back as 1967, 95% of women were already gold diggers. According to author Stephanie Coontz, asking a father for permission to marry his daughter is “cherry picking” of tradition because:

“It has none of the old meaning,” she says. As late as 1967, she notes, two-thirds of college women surveyed, compared with 5% of college men, would consider marrying someone they didn’t love if other factors, such as financial stability . . . were in place.

Translation: By 1967, 2/3 of college women admitted they were gold-diggers.
Don’t attack me for noting this. I don’t make these sad statistics up. Just sayin’.

Arena will be addressing Assistant Professor Fayyaz Hussain’s Social Inequality class at 10:20 a.m., located in the Plant and Soil Sciences Building.
Before receiving his current post, Arena was chief of the International Terrorism Operations Section in Washington, D.C.

Readers of this site will note that I reported on Arena’s previous comments to the Christian Science Monitor, when he was a top FBI New York official. At that time, he described his job as trying to sway public opinion away from a negative opinion of Islam.

When I had my radio show on FM Talk here in Detroit, I used to refer to Michigan’s esteemed Democratic Governor-ette Jennifer Mulhern Granholm as “The Governatrix Gran-ho.” There are a multitude of reasons for that. And it’s not just because she and Arnold Schwarzenegger are the only “Dating Game” contestant Governors.
If you’re not from Michigan (and most of my readers are not), you may still be aware that Michigan’s economy is so bad, we are as bad off as–if not worse than–Katrina-stricken New Orleans. Our economy is past dying. Rigor mortis is about to set in.
So what does the ultimate political prostitute Governatrix do?

* She calls the voters of Michigan–the same ones who re-elected her–“racist”:
In an interview with TV host Tim Skubick of Palestinian Broadcasting System (PBS), she told Skubick that Michigan voters chose the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative (that ended state affirmative action in hiring, promotions, and college admissions) are racist:

There is probably a racial element.

That’s interesting, since 58% of Michigan voters (far more than voted for Gran-ho’s re-election on the same ballot) voted for MCRI. You got it–Gran-ho believes that 58% of Michigan voters are racists. Nice.
* She raises taxes (along with very willing Republicans) and continues to summer in a tax-funded mansion along with her friends:
To “solve” a Michigan budget crisis and shutdown, Granholm claimed she was cutting her salary and cutting fat out of the budget. But while working class Joes are paying more in income and sales taxes, she’ll continue to summer–courtesy of the Michigan taxpayers–in her summer Governor’s mansion on Michigan’s Mackinac Island. She refuses to sell the mansion. Nor will she sell the other Michigan-owned mansions on the Island, at which her appointees to the Mackinac Island Commission stay every summer weekend, with a full coterie of tax-funded staff (maids, etc.).
Yup, she’s Michigan’s own Marie Antoinette: Let them eat cake . . . and pay higher taxes, while I and my friends party it up at tax-funded summer mansions. The Republicans haven’t done a thing about this either because they use the mansions, too. They’re just not for you, “the little people.”
* She plays the Chick Card: In the interview with Skubick, she claimed that women would have worked out the Michigan budget crisis faster:

Women are used to picking up other people’s messes, so perhaps it would have been done more quickly.

Really? What woman has cleaned up Gran-ho’s mess? The way she “cleaned up” the mess, that means that women would have raised taxes much more quickly.

Thank G-d this woman cannot run for President. She was born in Canada.
