Tomorrow’s the 2nd anniversary of this blog. While the site was around a lot longer, on June 2, 2005, this site became a full-time, daily blog.
Last year, on the first blogiversary, I wrote an , in terms of readers, breaking stories, etc. In the last year, we’ve more than doubled attainment of most of the benchmarks.
Thank you to all of my readers for reading, commenting, and spreading the word. Keep it up. Without you, I’d be shouting at the wind. And thank you to all of you who send me tips and articles, links and other items of interest. Keep that up, too.

Do Americans and Brits deserve to be dismembered, beheaded, and otherwise maimed and murdered because of “what they and their countries have done”? How about, especially if they work for arms and weapons companies and defense contractors?

If you answered, “yes,” then you and the leaders of Al-Qaeda and other Islamic terrorist groups will get along famously . . . and you’ll also love “Severance“–a horror movie recently released in which Brits and Americans “get theirs.”

“I laughed. I cheered. I didn’t cry,” said film critic Osama Bin Laden of the syndicated TV show, “Bin Laden & Zawahiri at the Movies.”

Well, yes, I made that up. But trust me, he only liked “Fahrenheit 9/11.” He’d LOOOOVE “Severance.” Check out this movie poster, which tells you exactly what happens in this sick movie. . .

While the movie started out interesting, I found it to be so disgusting, so depraved, and–most of all–so anti-Western, that I walked out with about a 1/2 hour to go onscreen.

The final straw was when a man–who wondered aloud whether the beheaded head of a person could still see its body and what was going on, once the head was completely severed–got to find out the answer to his question, for himself. We see his beheaded head rolling around and seeing his dismembered body.

Enough is enough. Some movies are just anti-American. Others are just disgustingly depraved in terms of violence and gore. This one was both.

Well, a very creative, patriotic, dedicated Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent–fed up with inept ICE “leadership,” lax immigration enforcement, and Bush’s absurd Amnesty bill, wrote his own version of the 23rd Psalm, “The 23rd ISLAM.” It says it all:

I could not agree more with this excellent run-down of ICE, immigration problems, the amnesty bill–all reasons why we are doomed.

Most Americans are saddened by the physical sacrifices made by so many of our brave men and women serving in Iraq. Many return home with so many body parts missing and other physical maiming.
But it is uplifting to see so many of our recently disabled, young veterans performing amazing feats and overcoming extreme obstacles.
On Sunday, Andy Hatcher, Rich Ingram, and Melissa Stockwell–all amputee veterans of Iraq–will compete in the Accentrue Escape From Alcatraz triathlon:

Andy Hatcher ran his first marathon seven months before being deployed to Iraq in September 2004. Losing his right leg in combat three months later could have ended his running career, but Hatcher is still going strong.

Hatcher, 23, of Alexandria, Va., will compete in the Accenture Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco on Sunday. He will be part of a relay team with two other Iraq war veterans who lost limbs.
Rich Ingram, 23, of Dahlonega, Ga., who lost his left arm in 2005, will bike 18 miles. Melissa Stockwell, 27, of Chicago, who lost her left leg in 2004, will swim 1 1/2 miles. Hatcher will run 8 miles.
The race worked with the Challenged Athletes Foundation to involve disabled veterans and to organize a clinic for physically challenged people on Saturday.
“When you bounce back from (losing a leg), it shows you who you are,” Hatcher says. “People like CAF provide you with the opportunity to realize that life’s not over.” . . .
The athletes say the attitude and strength they gained while serving in Iraq helped them recover from their wounds and train.
“I don’t think of myself as challenged,” Ingram says. “You just go out there and have a strong mind.”

Easier said than done. But very inspiring. These three amputees are more athletic than most Americans who have all of their limbs intact.

Is Al-Qaeda claiming responsibility for the Virginia Tech Massacre or confing that it was an act of Islamic terrorism?
If you listen to or read the transcript from the latest rant video by Azzam Al-Amriki a/k/a Adam Gadahn (released this week by Qaeda’s As-Sahab), it sure looks like it.
As reader David points out, on the video, Gadahn says:

Your failure to heed our demands . . . means you and your people will . . . experience things that will make you forget the horrors of things such as Sept 11, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Virginia Tech.

These [the first three] are Muslim acts of violence. Is Al-Qaeda confirming that Virginia Tech was a terrorist act? It certainly appears that they are. What Adam Gadahn knows, our FBI is not speaking about either. The silence is deafening.

So, if the Virginia Tech Massacre–which had all the hallmarks of a jihadist massacre–was just the work of a madman, why does Azzam Al-Amriki mention it in this context? He didn’t mention Columbine or any other massacres.
Just a coincidence? Don’t bet on it. There are no coincidences.
And where are all those parties who attacked me for daring to suggest there might be a connection between Islam and the Virginia Tech massacre? Would love to see them squirm as they try in vain to explain away Azzam/Adam’s comments.
Oh, and why is –the man who converted him–still walking free and unfettered, here in America? I’ve asked before and I’m asking again.

Long before she played “Karate Kid‘s” girlfriend onscreen, actress Elisabeth Shue fought to play on her suburban New Jersey high school boys soccer team. And now, she and her brother, Andrew Shue, have made a movie about it.
“Gracie“–a fictionalized version of Ms. Shue’s fight to play soccer on the boy’s team in the ’70s–debuts in theaters, today. The movie is directed (and its story conceived) by Davis Guggenheim (Shue’s husband), who also directed Al Gore’s fake-umentary, “An Inconvenient Truth.” And like that documentary, the message and facts in this fiction are highly disputable. And like “Inconvenient Truth,” Gracie is just as agenda-laden. It’s just what the feminists at the fringe Women’s Sports Foundation ordered.

For the rest of America, though, the movie’s pro-Title IX, in-your-face sports feminism is dated, with girls dominating high school and college sports through Title IX lawsuits and other overly aggressive programs. And the Shues’ views are extreme. –best known for his stint on the 90’s FOX Soap “Melrose Place”–he donned a pajama top and told me point blank:

Once we get rid of all of the college men’s basketball and football programs, then things will be great. Then we won’t need Title IX, anymore.

That’s long been the suspected motive of Title IX advocates in women’s sports, whose militant, Title IX orthodoxy–with even the Bush Department of Education backing them up–has resulted in the elimination of many men’s sports programs from colleges and universities nationwide. Famous collegiate men’s swimming and diving programs that produced so many American Olympic Gold Medalists in the ’80s and ’90s have all but disappeared.
Then, there is the target audience of “Gracie” and the message it sends them. Though the movie has a PG-13 rating, it’s being heavily marketed to young girls as the feel-good teenage Rocky-in-a sports-bra movie of the year.
But that’s not what this movie is. Instead, the message to young girls here (and their mothers) is that unless they play sports–with the boys–they will get into trouble. Grace Bowen is a 16-year-old who fails in school and begins to become sexually promiscuous–all because her parents wouldn’t train her to play soccer with the boys. But once they relent, all is saved and Gracie, once again, is the studious good girl. Her best friend remains a spectator on the sidelines and–along with other non-athletic females in the stands at high school–is a smoking, trouble-making slut.
But recent studies show that playing sports does not stem promiscuity in young girls. In fact, many girls have begun to exhibit the aggressive sexual behavior of their male jock counterparts.
Equally troubling, there is a constant, in-your-face misogyny displayed by all of the males in the movie that simply did not exist in the ’70s in America, at least not in my experience as a high school tennis player and runner. Her father is against her. Grace’s little brothers constantly make remarks like, “Girls lose their brains when their boobs start to grow.” A mulleted male soccer player is only interested in Grace for sex and dumps her when she won’t give in. But she gets her anti-male revenge by becoming his competitor in soccer and beating him.
Even Grace’s mother, played by Elisabeth Shue, opposes her daughter’s quest to play soccer. Gracie’s mother tells her:

For us girls, life is a sh*t sandwich. We all gotta take a bite.

The “sh*t sandwich” bit is repeated by Grace a few more times throughout the movie. That’s not the ’70s childhood I remember: brothers making misogynist comments, fathers deriding and ignoring their daughters, and mothers swearing at them, with all of it being solved when their daughter beats all of the boys in a soccer “payback.” All of this, Andrew Shue, admitted to me did not happen to Elisabeth Shue in real life.
When I asked him why it was necessary to put that in a movie aimed at young girls, he told me, “that’s life.” Studio representatives and her mother were upset I asked Carly Schroeder, the 16-year-old soap opera veteran and star of the movie whether it was necessary for her to utter the S-bomb in a movie targeted to young girls in which she’ll be a role model for them. They called me “unprofessional” and “out of line” for asking about it. That’s the problem. They don’t want to and can’t defend “Gracie,” its content, and the messages it sends to tween and young teen girls.
Schroeder’s ambitious mother was upset I asked her daughter the question. Memo to Mrs. Schroeder: If you are bothered with my legitimate questions about your daughter’s dialogue in the movie, maybe you should have had a problem with her uttering that dialogue. Your kid’s movie is being deceptively pimped on girls much younger than her and mothers who–unlike you–haven’t read the script before blowing $10 to see it.
Then, there’s the aggression displayed by “Gracie” star Schroeder, herself a female athlete, that is troubling and emblematic of girls in sports today. Like the message of the movie, it’s all about she-power beating the boys. Schroeder–who looks like a blonde California prom queen–told me that she was a wrestler in school, wrestling boys ages 13-18. “And I whipped their butts,” she proudly told me. Inside the body of a Valley Girl, lurks the heart of Rosie O’Donnell and Billie Jean King.
Schroeder seemed startled when I asked her if that was somehow disturbing that she was proud to physically beat boys her age. She said no and proudly volunteered that her best girlfriend is a lineman on a high school football team and beats boys down all the time. Schroeder decried that girls in high school play softball and not the tougher baseball. “Softball is girlie.” But what’s wrong with being girlie? This is the new, glamorous feminism?
The tagline of the movie is “The Rules of the Game Are About to Change.” They already have, and for the worse.
It’s not surprising that Schroeder never saw “The Karate Kid.” In that 1984 flick, Elisabeth Shue played Ali Mills–the glamorous, pretty, feminine cheerleader Ali Mills.
These days glamorous and feminine are no longer in for girls. It’s whipping the boys’ butts that is.
When Al Gore’s director and the Karate Kid’s real-life girlfriend meet Title IX, it’s not necessarily a good thing.

If you are a victim of (Islamic) terrorism, you should hug and love your terrorist.
That was the message of yesterday’s edition of the kumbaya-fest that is “Oprah.” In a show on forgiving violent criminals, Oprah introduced us to Gill (pronounced, “Jill”) Hicks, a British woman who lost both legs in the 7/7 London Tube bombing by (Islamic) terrorists.
I put the word “Islamic” in parentheses because this is Oprah’s show, and she doesn’t dare mention Islam in shows concerning terrorism. The word wasn’t uttered once. Because, after all, it was the Samoans and Icelanders, the Jews and Catholics and Hindus and Bahai Faithers, who homicide bombed the London subway in summer 2005. Right?
Gill Hicks–remember, she has no legs because (Islamic) terrorists took them with a bombing of a subway–told Oprah she forgives and loves her terrorists:

Sickening. Her bomber isn’t here because he’s dead. He killed himself while trying to kill Ms. Hicks. And yet, she wants to “open up [her] arms” and show him “unconditional love”?! What a fricking dumbass. Better one of the dozens of other victims–who were murdered by the bombs–had lived. I’m sure most of them would not want to hug and make out with their Allah-obsessed killers.
Or would they? After all, it’s Europe a/k/a where the men are girlie-men and everyone generally just wants to make love to the most radical, violent Islamists.
Oprah called this woman a “She-ro.” Puh-leeze. Quick, , please ban this most annoying of words. Forgiving terrorists is not heroic or even “She-roic” (another newly coined Oprah idiocy). It is just plain idiotic.
And here’s Oprah’s rejoinder to Hicks, equally as vomit-inducing:

Forgive them instead of drinking the poison every day . . . wanting to get back at them, to target them and their families. And then the cycle of violence continues. That’s what it’s about–peace and love. Don’t let the bomber own you.

HUH?! Cycle of violence? What violence did the 56 killed and 700 wounded riding on a subway to work commit to deserve this? What violence did 3,000 Americans traveling on business or working in their offices in the Towers commit?
Punishing terrorists is not only not “letting the bomber own you,” it’s necessary and vital. And sadly, far too many in Oprah-addled America forgot that.
But Thank G-d, that at least, in non-Oprahfied America, most sane families and relatives of 9/11 victims want to kick the asses of the terrorists. They don’t want to fondle them or have their babies. Sure, we have a few of . But none as pathetic and disgustingly servile to Islamic terrorists as Gill Hicks.
That’s why Oprah had to look to Britain of Madonnastan to find someone as idiotic and repulsive as Gill Hicks.
She-ro, maybe (in HOprah’s deluded world). But hero? Uh, no.
Yet another reason why Oprah Sucks.

Remember when I told you about Grammy-winning singer ? She sang the separatist Black National Anthem, there.
Well, her concurrence with racism and bigotry doesn’t seem to have hurt her much. Tonight, she’s singing the National Anthem prior to tonight’s Game 5 of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
So, will it be the American National Anthem . . . or the (which she sang with Farrakhan)?
I like Detroit Pistons owner William Davidson (who, full disclosure, contributed the max to both of my campaigns for the Michigan House), but as a proud American and a proud Jew (and he’s also a Republican who supports the War in Iraq), he should be ashamed of inviting this woman to grace his arena.

We should not be surprised that President Bush has renominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. It’s already been established that in this Administration.
You gotta hand it to Abu Porno, though, for understanding the power of headlines and the uncritical thinking of the American people. Yesterday, Murphy–who allowed to (even sent him several warning signs to flee) and allows Chahine to continue to collect money from his Detroit-based restaurant chain while a fugitive in Lebanon (and give that money to Hezbollah)–announced that he filed additional tax evasion charges against Chahine.

Big whoop. As I said, he allowed Chahine to flee the country after not paying $7 million in taxes on $20 million he gave to Hezbollah to continue its murderous terrorist machine. And he allows him to continue to live in style in Lebanon courtesy of American businesses that would normally be frozen by the IRS and the Justice Department. So who cares that he filed additional charges against Chahine that will never be faced?
There’s only one reason those charges were filed: to get Murphy favorable headlines and face time in the media, which make it look like this inept U.S. Attorney–who in the entire U.S.–actually look like he’s doing something against terrorists, instead of what he really does: hang out with them.
Murphy is desperate to look good in the eyes of the Senate Judiciary Committee, so that they’ll consider holding hearings on his nomination and hold favorable ones.
And he’s wasting your tax money and resources for these empty legal maneuvers to get headlines. In the end, the American people will NEVER get justice against Talal Chahine.
Because Stephen Murphy let the Hezbollah terrorist financier leave the country, free from any law enforcement interference.
Your tax dollars at “work.”

In the past, I’ve told you about Oscar winner and mentioned other Oscar winning actresses, like , and their pan-Islamist, anti-Israel spewing.
Now, yet another Oscar Winner is linked with pro-Palestinian propaganda. Oscar winner Helen Mirren (who spent a career bearing her crotch for all the world to see) is being lined up to star in a film set in Gaza, about a woman whose journalist daughter falls in love with a Palestinian and gets killed.

But don’t you worry, this won’t be a movie against the Palestinians and their own special brand of terrorism. It’s being produced by pro-Palestinian brits, so you can bet it will be very sympathetic to this terrorism-loving people. Bet that the death of the daughter is somehow a Zionist Israeli plot . . . just like Israel is being blamed for the current, real-life kidnapping of a pro-Palestinian BBC “journalist” by Palestinian terrorists.
Oh, and by the way, they had planned to make this movie in Gaza, but because HAMAS and Fatah terrorists are killing each other, they can’t. Don’t bet for that to be depicted in this movie.
But they wouldn’t dare make the movie in “evil Zionist” Israel, either. Instead, they’ll make it in HonorKillingcopia a/k/a Jordan, our “moderate” “ally.”
Hmmm . . . there’s something about aging actresses known for bearing their crotches onscreen. First, Sharon Stone said (still waiting for them to actually do it). And now, CrotchWoman #2 gets into the murky mix. (Since she’s also bared her crotch for us, maybe Britney Spears will also now get involved in Middle East diplomacy.)
