When you think “Homeland Security,” if you don’t know better, you probably think: “protecting U.S. citizens against Islamic terrorists.” Think again. The picture below speaks a thousand words–a thousand words that say otherwise.

It is a photo of Daniel Sutherland, Homeland Security’s Officer for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, an Assistant Secretary or General Counsel level position providing legal and policy advice to the Homeland Security Secretary and senior officials. He is shown with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent in Charge crony–“former” Islamic terrorist and FBI award revokee (who openly supports Islamic terrorist groups, such as HAMAS and Hezbollah, and the teaching of Palestinian children to become “martyrs”).
Sutherland is shown shaking hands with Ihsan Al-Khatib, the President of Hamad’s organization (Midwest branch of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee). Al-Khatib is also the General Counsel of an Islamic that openly gave millions to HAMAS’ Jordanian branch, has strong ties to designated terrorist entities, and secretly raised money for Fallujah-style “operations.” Muslims employed by the organization have been deported for terror ties.
Hamad, whose father recently died, requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the “charity,” and he was instrumental in getting the “charity” USAID funds from you, the American taxpayers, to “rebuild” Iraq. The charity was under investigation (for funding terrorism) by then-U.S. Customs and ICE in Detroit, until Abu Moskowitz shut the investigation down, probably to protect his “former” terrorist buddy.
Are these the kind of people high-level Homeland Security officials–whose salary you pay–should be pandering to? No. But Sutherland is (and so is Abu Moskowitz, as we’ve extensively detailed on this site).
Tonight, Hamad’s and Al-Khatib’s organization, the ADC, will host its 25th anniversary gala dinner at Dearborn, Michigan’s Hyatt Regency hotel. Sutherland is expected to attend, as is Abu Moskowitz.
They are supposed to be watching out for you, but instead they are watching out for America’s enemies within. Which begs the question: Who’s watching the watchers?

Shi’ite vs. Sunni Muslim violence in Iraq? Fuhgedaboutit.
We’ve got our own version right here in the States: extremist, bow-tied Black Muslims versus Arab Muslims (many of whom are also extremist).
First, on Thanksgiving Eve, bow-tied Black Muslims trashed two White Arab Muslim-owned convenience stores in Oakland, CA, for selling alcohol and pork to us Infidels. Then, they torched one of the stores and kidnapped its Arab Muslim owner.
One of the perpetrators is Yusuf Bey IV, the son of a prominent Black Muslim leader who founded “Your Black Muslim Bakery, Inc.”, which encompasses a Muslim bakery, school, and other enterprises.
Today’s New York Times has a nice summary of the behavior of our friends in the “Religion of Peace.” Though, we object to the Times’ use of Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian as an authority on hate crimes, since, in a 1999 speech, he urged, “The Day of Judgment will never happen until you fight the Jews. . . . The trees and stones will say, oh Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill him!” The Times, of course, didn’t mention that.
These rival Muslim groups hate each other, but both hate us non-Muslims even more. The only downside to this extremist Muslim vs. extremist Muslim violence is that both sides can’t lose–and that we Infidels might get caught in the middle, since we’re hated by both sides.
One of the owners of the stores is already calling this Muslim v. Muslim attack a hate crime. Needless to say, we’re sure our lying, exaggerating friends at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will also count these Muslim-on-Muslim crimes in their phony count of hate-crimes against Muslims when they should really count on the list of Religion of Peace hate-crimes on behalf of Islam.

For normal Americans, there’s nothing good at the movies, this weekend. For the defining deviancy down crowd, there’s a whole lot: Not just one, but TWO (and arguably, three) transvestite movies.
When we say “transvestite movies,” we don’t mean movies that say this is a sick enterprise. Nope. We mean movies that “normalize” depraved gender identity crises into no big deal. We’re supposed to sympathize and identify with men who like to wear women’s clothing and lingerie–and those who get operations to mutilate their bodies accordingly. We’ve written about this disturbing attempt to mainstream “trannies” (here and here), which has, sadly, spread to forcing children to accept transsexual teachers and principals.

* “TransAmerica“: Stars “Desperate Housewives’ ” Felicity Huffman as a man who is a pre-op transsexual, who fathered a kid while as a man and goes to meet this kid. The kid is a runaway. Talk about traumatizing an already messed up kid. It’s out in limited release today, in the rest of the country by late December.

* “Breakfast on Pluto“: A foster kid leaves a destitute life in Ireland for a fabulous life as a transvestite and cabaret dancer in London. How charming. Stars girlie-man actor Cillian Murphy, who played the chief terrorist in “,” which we reviewed .
* “Aeon Flux“: Stars Charlize Theron. Is supposed to be so bad, there were no press screenings, until last night at 10:00 p.m., making it impossible for critics in mainstream newspapers to review it before it’s opening, today. We include this one because Theron plays a very masculine, tough-chick superhero in this one. Basically, a transvestite.
And that’s the point of the Hollywood producers: blur the lines of the sexes. Feminize men, make women masculine.

Last week, we wrote about the cornucopia of celebs who , co-founder of the Crips and murderer of at least four people (probably more). To recap, we reported that Williams was a multiple-time Nobel Prize nominee for writing a kids book and allegedly helping to stop violence (not really).
Today, we have some questions we’d like to raise about Tookie. Questions that were NOT raised by the mainstream media. But, first, we’d like to draw your attention to “their” Tookie versus the REAL Tookie Williams, as encapsulated in the photo the liberal (mainstream) media uses versus the photo of Tookie when he murdered at least four innocent people. We think he was a contestant on “Extreme Make-over: Prison Edition.”

Then, there are the questions:
1) Is Tookie Williams still running the Crips from jail? Sources say yes.
2) Did Tookie Williams really write the children’s book for which he was a repeated Nobel nominee? Sources say no–that it was all part of his image “make-over” and that the book was actually written by his lawyers.
3) Are the four murders he admittedly did the ONLY murders? Sources say no–that Tookie is linked to at least 20 murders, going back to his first case. The four murders are the only ones he was caught committing. Then there are the hundreds of murders his Crips gang committed, at his direction and/or approval.
We hope Gov. Schwarzenegger will also raise these questions and not grant clemency. We’re for the death penalty only in the most iron-clad (in terms of evidence) cases, but this is one of them.
See today’s absurd New York Times “apologist” Tookie op-ed piece by Michael Essig. Sneering elitist Essig actually has the nerve to conclude this is not about lives, but political fall-out: “If Governor Schwarzenegger were to allow this prisoner to go to his death, he would suffer little political damage.” To Essig and company, the lives of a 7-Eleven clerk and a family at a motel are simply not important enough versus the worthless life of a liberal cause celebre cold-blooded killer who “helps” kids.
But he’s dead wrong. “Extreme Makeover” was cancelled, and Tookie’s life should be, too.

On this site, we’ve commented on the rising number of re-makes, sequels, repeats, re-dos . . . . You get it. They’re almost all BAD. And the death of original ideas always signals the death of a great, free society.
The latest re-make/sequel is no exception: ’80s pop singer Rick Springfield’s return to the ABC Soap Opera, “General Hospital,” only now his character is a messed-up alcoholic. Incredibly, The New York Times thinks THIS is major news. Huh?
What it really is, is a has-been pop singer (then a hot age 32, now a sagging, sunken-eyed age 56) returning to a has-been show on a has-been medium–all three of which are desperate to bring back yesterday.

Rick Springfield: Jesse’s Girl Has Moved On; So Should He.
Yes, I was one of those teen-age girls all gaga over Springfield. Went to his concerts, bought his posters. (In 1998, I interviewed him for an article I wrote on him in The Detroit News, and he’s a pretty nice guy in person.) But gaga no more.
His fans from yesterday are working during the soap opera day, today. Or online, listening to an I-Pod, or watching cable. Soap opera and network TV watching has dwindled, thankfully. Plus, they’re bringing back a character that was a heroic neurosurgeon as a washed-up alcoholic. That’s not entertaining. It’s just sad.
Sometimes, yesterday was meant to stay there. Some things just shouldn’t be repeated.
Like we said, the death of new ideas and creativity is always a sign of the death of capitalism and freedom.

Today’s the 50th anniversary of the Rosa Parks bus incident. But, what Rosa Parks has to do with Homeland Security or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), we’re not quite sure (other than the obvious: nothing).
That, however, didn’t stop Homeland Security Chief (a/k/a “Mr. Burns”) and , ICE Special Agent in Charge for Michigan and Ohio, from spending thousands of your tax dollars to get in on the Rosa Parks civil rights feel-good action.
This afternoon (at 4:00 p.m. Eastern), at a private ceremony in three heated tents, Chertoff will swoop into the parking lot of the Detroit Mt. Elliott Street ICE Detention and Removal facility (where illegal aliens deportations are handled) and unfurl banners re-naming the building for Rosa Parks. We drove by the building, this morning, and saw at least three giant, expensive banners encrusting the building and waiting for unfurling.

We also observed three giant, heated tents in the parking lot for the three-hundred invited guests. The tents usually cost thousands to rent and construct, reminding us of some of the excessively ostentatious bar- and bat-mitzvahs we’ve observed in Abu Moskowitz’s swanky Bloomfield Hills environ. And who knows how much was spent on catering for this afternoon affair.
But, unless you are one of such local “dignitaries” as Detroit’s Pimp Daddy Mayor Kwame “the Kingpin” Kilpatrick and his 22-bodyguard entourage, you are uninvited to this private, posthumous DHS bat-mitzvah extravaganza for Ms. Parks. While they are partying down with Chertoff and Moskowitz, illegal aliens are roaming free, despite Chertoff’s two days of , earlier this week. We’d bet Abu Moskowitz even invited his buddy, “former” Islamic terrorist, FBI award revokee, and self-annointed “civil rights leader” , to the event, but he is away in Lebanon and can’t attend.
ICE agents are angry that taxpayer dollars and ICE agent man-hours are being wasted for the planning and expense of this event, when there is no money for file folders and pens to open new cases. The lack of money for even oil changes on ICE agent cars makes us wonder when we will see the new MTV show called, “ICE: The Anti-Pimp My Ride.” Agents note that Rosa Parks has nothing to do with either Homeland Security or Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They see it as yet another tax-funded media event for Chertoff and Moskowitz to get some good PR face-time. And you’re paying for it.
Worse, is the fact that Rosa Parks Moskowitz has hired few Black agents. Since we’re not into affirmative action (we like that bad thing called “merit”), we’re not so much bothered by that. But then, we’re also not naming our office after Rosa Parks, either. Also, we would be even less bothered by it, had we not known about , including a Hamad nephew and/or employee, whom Moskowitz accompanied to the ICE interview and pressured ICE agents to hire. Black agents, no; extremist Muslim agents, yes. That’s the “sit at the back of the bus” policy Moskowitz has been pushing since he got to town.
What bothers us even more, though, is that when it comes to racial profiling and making certain ethnicities and races sit at the back of the bus in criminal investigations, Abu Moskowitz is king. As we’ve noted, in the heart of Islamic America, in illegal alien investigations. Yet, he has forbidden his agents from touching Muslims or targeting them in either illegal alien smuggling/sham marriage investigations or money laundering.
If they must waste tax dollars to needlessly re-name a federal building housing Homeland Security agencies, why not name it after someone who actually did something heroic for homeland security–someone unlike Chertoff, Moskowitz, and, yes, even Rosa Parks.
***UPDATE: We’re told that Chertoff did not show up, blowing off the Rosa Parks crowd, so Abu Moskowitz could have the photo op all to himself. Too bad for him there was little, if any, media coverage of this tax-wasting confab.

Respected jewelers, like Tiffany & Co., and mass retailers, like Kay Jewelers, are trying to push a new trend–JEWELRY FOR MEN.
Yup, today’s Wall Street Journal reports on a effect. Influenced by girlie-men celebs like Pitt, singer Lenny Kravitz, and actor Orlando Bloom, the Journal claims that, “Once considered a fringe market for rockers, rappers, gay men, and gangsters, men’s jewelry is inching toward the mainstream.” Say it ain’t so.

We’re not just talking fancy watches, either. Tiffany’s now carries “sporty” men’s jewelry, including rings, pendants and bracelets. Bracelets on men? Eeuw. Nothing “sporty” about that.
The WSJ article is entitled “Men Say Bling it on.” No, real men don’t WEAR bling–or bracelets. Oh, and by the way, I guess the WSJ didn’t get the memo: the word “bling” is out. Jewelry for men should be, too!

President Bush could double for Bill Murray.
His repeated claim that he’s about to get tough at the border is like “Groundhog Day.” We’ve been hearing it over and over and over.
But while Bush is claiming he will stop the “catch and release” policy that has been at play for many years–including four since 9/11–the real heroes are at the local level. While Bush and Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff allow the borders to continue to hemorrhage, the men really doing the job are guys like Andrew Thomas, Rick Jones, and Bob Gosselin.
While Congressmen, like (R-CA) claim to be tough on the illegal alien problem–yet insist on shutting down internal Border Patrol checkpoints like the one in Temecula, California, in Issa’s San Diego area district–the real heroes fighting illegal aliens have no federal resources.

Immigration Groundhog Day: Jones, Thomas vs. Abu Moskowitz
Last year, Thomas, the Maricopa County, Arizona Attorney, was the first local prosecutor elected on a platform of stopping illegal immigration. It helped him beat several favored candidates in the Republican primary for the open seat.
He recently held an extensive forum on illegal immigration in Scottsdale (at which I was a speaker), featuring federal, state, and local officials from all over. The stars of the conference were Thomas and the many local elected officials like him, who are doing something to legislate at the State level what our federal officials are failing to do nationally.
Thomas didn’t just use illegal immigration as an electioneering slogan. He means business. Thomas detailed the large percentage of crime in his border area county that is committed by illegal aliens. He’s gone after them in novel, creative ways. For instance, Thomas compared illegal aliens’ applications to vote versus their responses to jury duty questionnaires. He’s prosecuted many who claim they are legal U.S. citizens qualified to vote, then claim they are not legal U.S. citizens so they can get out of jury duty. In Maricopa County, Arizona, they can no longer have it both ways.
Then, there is Rick Jones. The Butler County, Ohio Sheriff is my hero (read his blog). He recently sent a bill to ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)–the federal agency charged with enforcing immigration laws, but failing miserably to do so–for more than $71,000 to cover the cost of housing 15 illegal aliens he picked up. He’s tired of doing the job that (a/k/a “Abu Moskowitz”), the Special Agent in Charge of ICE for Michigan and Ohio, is failing to do. But he’s not going to allow Moskowitz’s laziness and inaction to further endanger his constituents.
That’s why Jones, Butler County Commissioner Michael Fox, and Ohio State Representative Courtney Combs announced a multi-tiered initiative to eliminate illegal aliens living in their Ohio county and throughout the state. While Moskowitz wasted at least $30,000 on new furniture for his already posh Detroit office, Ohio officials–without Moskowitz’s plentiful, but poorly spent ICE funds–have decided to pick up his vast slack.
In October, the three Ohio officials introduced a new booking process requiring declarations of citizenship by jail inmates. They will report jailed felons and misdemeanants who falsify their information or are found to be illegal aliens to ICE and Moskowitz for immediate deportation or deportation after trial. The onus will be on Moskowitz and other ICE officials to finally do their job–the job that their ultimate superiors, Chertoff and Bush, have allowed them to shirk.
“We want to put extreme pressure on ICE to do its job with regard to illegal aliens,” Jones told the Hamilton Journal News. “Why should Butler County taxpayers have to pay for jail costs associated with people we don’t believe should ever have been in this country, let alone this state or county? If ICE is having so much trouble locating illegal aliens, heck, I’ll help them out — I’ll send them 20 a day from our county jail.”
While Bush and federal officials look the other way with employers hiring illegals, Butler County Commissioner Fox is working on initiatives to strongly discourage such employment in his county, while Ohio State Representative Combs is drafting legislation that will make it a state offense for illegal aliens to cross over Ohio’s borders and allow state action for immediate deportations..
Courageous Ohio officials say they will enforce trespassing laws against illegal aliens, where other spineless state officials, such as , who forbade state police from enforcing such laws against illegal aliens and using them to take the aliens off the street.
Then, there are legislators, like Michigan’s Bob Gosselin, and Arizona’s Russell Pearce, who’ve introduced legislative packages to prohibit benefits, like state-backed mortgages, from going to illegal aliens. Lawmakers in Wisconsin and Virginia have done the same. A county in Idaho filed a federal racketeering lawsuit against four companies employing illegals.
Strangely, ICE/Moskowitz spokesman Greg Palmore told AP that he has “concerns about racial profiling that come with some local efforts.” Actually, in the heart of Islamic America, –eschewing investigations and arrests of Islamic illegal aliens, in favor of round-ups of Latinos and Asians. Gee, someone sounds like a hypocrite.
And someone forgot about 9/11 very quickly. But he’s not a local official. Unfortunately, he’s the guy living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and guys–like Moskowitz–who work for him.

If you’re Karim Koubriti, you sue. And make up claims, such as being forced to eat pork–when the prison hasn’t served ANYONE pork for years.
Koubriti was part of a cell that planned to blow up U.S. sites, such as Disney World and Vegas and the Incirlik Turkish air base used by the U.S. and Israel for F-15s and AWACS planes. Since he didn’t succeed in doing that, he’ll, at least, try to soak U.S. taxpayers through litigation. One might call it a terrorist consolation prize.
