Animal Rights Professor: Eating Meat Worse Than Vick’s Dogfighting

By
Leave it to an animal rights freak to find an absurd angle to the Michael Vick dogfighting story.
Peter Singer, the famed Princeton University Professor–who believes that animals are equal to humans (if not superior) and should have legal rights–is interviewed by The New Republic (where I was once an intern, for Fred Barnes and Mort Kondracke). In the interview, Singer disagrees with the NBA’s Stephon Marbury that hunting is equal to dogfighting, because in hunting animals are killed instantly and experience far less pain.

Animal Rights Nuttery: Eating Meat Worse Than Dogfighting/Dog-Murder

But the punchline is that Singer says those of us who eat meat are committing a more heinous act than either dogfighting or hunting. He says this is because animals are kept in poor conditions and meet painful ends in meat processing factories.
Forgive me for my ignorance. But this is worse than drowning and throwing dogs to the ground in an effort to murder them, as Vick did? And this is worse than training dogs to maul and cut and bite each other to their deaths? This isn’t a matter of nuance. There’s a huge difference in the levels of cruelty between dog-fighting and eating meat. Night and day. And in the opposite direction from which Professor Singer sees it.
Sorry, but the animal rights crowd is off its collective rocker.

Ramon Pineda: Why Was Illegal Alien Cop-Killer Here 12 Years? How Did He Get Driver’s License?

By
On Tuesday, illegal alien Ramon Felix Pineda was arraigned in the Detroit suburb of Clarkston on charges of second-degree murder, drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving on a suspended license. Pineda, 25, has been here illegally (from Mexico) for at least 12 years.
The man Pineda killed was Vincent D’Anna, age 26, an off-duty Flint, Michigan police officer, who was rear-ended by Penda and later died. But it’s even more brutal than that:

He is accused of striking D’Anna’s motorcycle from behind with the 1992 Camaro he was driving on Sashabaw Road near the DTE Energy Music Theatre near Clarkston and then physically running over and dragging D’Anna for 70 feet.

Illegal Aliens Laugh @ MI Sec. of State Terry Lynn Land

Pineda was tackled and held by witnesses when he tried to run away from the scene; witnesses also lifted the car off D’Anna, 26, of Goodrich, who died hours later at Genesys Regional Medical Center.

Since Pineda was here illegally, one wonders why the Michigan Secretary of State ever gave him a driver’s license (which was suspended), in the first place. I’ll tell you why. Despite her tough-talking, current Michigan Secretary of State, Republican Terry Lynn Land, allows any alien–legal or not–to get a driver’s license.
I know that because, in researching this, I recently called the Secretary of State’s office to find out how to get a driver’s license for a non-citizen. I was told that all you need to show are bills or some other proof of residence, and–if you don’t have a social security number–fill out a form that’s later sent to the federal government (and probably sent to a “circular file” never to be looked at again).
That’s why illegal aliens living around the country flock to Michigan Secretary of State offices to get driver’s licenses.
And many of them feel quite safe living in Michigan. That’s because they won’t be bothered from their good American life by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent in Charge Brian Moskowitz a/k/a “Abu Moskowitz.” Pineda was here illegally since age 13, which likely means he was brought here by parents, who are also here illegally. Where are they? Did Moskowitz ask his agents to track them down? Don’t count on it.
And people die because of this inaction. People like Vincent D’Anna, an off duty cop on a motorcycle, whose life was cut short at age 26.
This could have been prevented. But we haven’t gotten nearly tough enough on illegal aliens. Easy access to driver’s licenses. Easy living in the U.S. for 12 years. When will it end? What will it take?

Immigration Enforcement?: The Abu Moskowitz Chicken Farm Show

By
So this is “immigration enforcement.”
Yesterday and today, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent in Charge for Michigan/Ohio Brian Moskowitz a/k/a “Abu Moskowitz” got a lot of play for his show raids on Koch Foods facility in Fairfield, Ohio. It’s basically a chicken farm and processing location.
Abu M has been getting a lot of press and mugging for the cameras, but those who’ve been reading my site know that it’s just for show. Yes, 160 people were arrested. But how many of them will actually be deported when it’s all said and done? And why are they going after mostly Latinos at a chicken farm in Ohio?

Abu Moskowitz: ICE Supermodel is The Godfather of Illegal Aliens & Islamic Terrorists (With apologies to Marlon Brando and the Corleone Family)

Which is more dangerous to you: Hispanics plucking feathers out of your soon-to-be-dinner bird . . . or Islamic terrorists and money-launderers hiding out in Dearbornistan, just a few miles from Abu M’s comfy office and home in a ritzy neighborhood?
The fact is–as many of his agents have relayed and proved to me–Moskowitz has refused cases involving Muslim illegal aliens in Dearborn, far more dangerous than the chicken pluckers. And he declined a case of a Hispanic man in Detroit who sells very accurate fake U.S. passports, driver’s licenses, and other IDs to many illegal aliens–including Muslims–for the right price.
And then there’s that “major” Islamic money-laundering case, involving millions of dollars a week being sent to terrorists overseas, all over the Middle East. I say “major” in quotation marks, because it’s actually not so major, given the way he’s treated the case and neglected it. Moskowitz’s agents basically shelved that one, with his approval and that of his top managers. I know because I was consulted and asked to become a confidential informant (I declined). The money is still flowing over there to our enemies, though, including those who are blowing up our troops.
So, while Moskowitz rounded up some poultry workers, he’s deliberately, knowingly letting the real dangerous illegal aliens and malefactors go and continue to operate freely. But, hey, he got his 15 minutes in front of the camera.
And that’s all that matters to him.
Reader Max of Ohio aptly calls it “The ICE Dog & Pony Show in Fairfield.” He writes:

Abu Moskowitz was all over the local TV station newscasts yesterday. When I saw his face, I laughed out loud, having read your previous writings about him.
According to Bill Cunningham & Mike McConnell, 700 WLW talk-show hosts (in Cincinnati), dozens & dozens of agents were flown in from around the country, buses were rented, etc. to make the “raid” look like a big deal. Koch Foods, again according to Bill, had fired several workers a few days before the raid when the workers’ Soc. Security nos. didn’t check out, & Koch Foods fired other workers (in the past) for the same reason. Koch Foods says that they’ve asked for assistance from the Feds numerous times & have been “blown off” every time. Bill (& I, & you) know that the Feds have done nothing to stem the tide of illegal “Immigrants”, except to periodically set up these “show raids” like the one at Koch Foods. Sorry for my wordiness, but this issue really sets me off.

They get it. I would not even be surprised if Koch was tipped off by ICE ahead of time about the raids. Otherwise, why did they just start checking the numbers just a few days before. Quelle Coincidence.
The bottom line is this:
DHS and ICE were created as a result of the 9/11 attacks and because an INS contractor approved visas for two of the hijackers, after the fact. I’m all for enforcing immigration laws against all violators, but since they won’t do that, I’d rather we be selective and go after criminals and terrorists. That means all Muslim illegal aliens need to be a priority, but they aren’t.
Last time I checked, not a single one of the 19 hijackers was Latino. Not one was named Miguel Alvarez. But there was Mohammed Atta and 18 others. They were all Muslims. All Arabs. All from the Middle East.
Not a single chicken worker among them. Got that, Abu Moskowitz?
Nope. You’re too busy hanging out with Islamic “former” terrorists.
As one astute ICE agent wrote on this site:

ICE continues to chase headlines by rounding up meat cutters & chicken pluckers from Mexico and Central America. Radical Islamic Terrorists and Militant Muslim Jihadists are not even on the ICE radar.

Exactly.
Enjoy the facetime and headlines . . . until the next attack.

Rudy & The “Serpenthead”: Meet Giuliani’s “Catch & Release” Immigration Team; Question for ICE Agents

By
Several readers sent me Rudy Giuliani’s disconcerting pro-Michael “Serpenthead” Chertoff comments quoted in yesterday’s Detroit Newsistan. But those readers apparently are new or haven’t been reading this site very closely. This isn’t news. Just a repeat of old bad news. I –a while ago–about how Chertoff worked for Giuliani when he was U.S. Attorney in Manhattan and how he praised Chertoff with a full vote of confidence. Bad news on so many levels.
Anyway, here’s the quote from yesterday:

Sadly, Rudy Likes Chertoff, Cerda, Other DHS/ICE Failures

Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani suggested Monday before a fundraiser here that President Bush might want to look to Michael Chertoff, whom Giuliani once hired, when seeking a replacement for embattled outgoing Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. . . .
It is now critical, Giuliani said, that Bush appoint “a really great attorney general” who has the trust of Republicans and Democrats.
“I believe that the attorney general is one of the two or three most demanding jobs in U.S. government,” Giuliani said. “Everything we do now involves very difficult legal questions.”
Giuliani was U.S. attorney in New York in the 1980s when he hired Chertoff as an assistant, and Chertoff led several high profile organized crime cases. Chertoff is now U.S. secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

Also, as some of you know, Giuliani recently announced his “Immigration Team.” And unfortunately, it’s made up of also-rans who got Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) into the sinking mess in which it currently finds itself. Here’s what a very wise source who ranked very high in ICE had to say about this team. I can’t agree more, given that these are his “Immigration Policy Advisors”:

Giuliani announced the formation of his immigration advisory team, consisting of among others Robert Bonner (former Commissioner at CBP), Stu Verdevey (former policy honcho at DHS) and Victor Cerda (former head of ICE/Detention & Removal Operations).
While I think Bonner did some good things at Customs/CBP, I have to wonder – aren’t these some of the architects of the failed immigration enforcement policies that got us where we are today? What will that mean in terms of the advice they give Rudy and the policies he pursues as a result? What role might they play in a Guiliani Administration? . . . This is a sad comment on his approach to what I believe to be the most pressing social and law enforcement issue we’re presented with in this country today – more of the same.
Cerda was John Torres’ predecessor. Actually, if I recall correctly when ICE was formed there was initially someone else in charge of DRO and Cerda was counsel to Mike Garcia. Then Cerda was moved over to DRO where he remained until he left ICE and the govt., and then Torres came in. Which means that Cerda was a part of the “catch and release” policy ICE/DRO was following (along with Border Patrol) during that period.

I have heard good things about Bonner, too (when he headed the old U.S. Customs Service).
But the larger picture here isn’t good news. Just what we need . . . if “we” are terrorists and criminals trying for the easiest way into America and the ability to stay here.
****
Question for ICE Agents: If you worked for or with either Bonner or Cerda, what did you think of them? Please tell us, by commenting on this entry.

Hillary’s Strange New “Wealthy” Campaign Donors

By
It’s a strange story. The six members of the Paw family donated a combined $45,000 to Hillary Rodham Cankles Clinton’s campaign and a total of $200,000 to the Democratic Party. That ranks them up there among Hillary’s and the Dems’ largest donors.
Yet, they live in a tiny house and make almost no money as owners of a gift shop and one employee of the U.S. Postal Service. More from the Wall Street Journal:

DALY CITY, Calif. — One of the biggest sources of political donations to Hillary Rodham Clinton is a tiny, lime-green bungalow that lies under the flight path from San Francisco International Airport.

Six members of the Paw family, each listing the house at 41 Shelbourne Ave. as their residence, have donated a combined $45,000 to the Democratic senator from New York since 2005, for her presidential campaign, her Senate re-election last year and her political action committee. In all, the six Paws have donated a total of $200,000 to Democratic candidates since 2005, election records show.
That total ranks the house with residences in Greenwich, Conn., and Manhattan’s Upper East Side among the top addresses to donate to the Democratic presidential front-runner over the past two years, according to an analysis by The Wall Street Journal of donations listed with the Federal Election Commission.
It isn’t obvious how the Paw family is able to afford such political largess. Records show they own a gift shop and live in a 1,280-square-foot house that they recently refinanced for $270,000. William Paw, the 64-year-old head of the household, is a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service who earns about $49,000 a year, according to a union representative. Alice Paw, also 64, is a homemaker. The couple’s grown children have jobs ranging from account manager at a software company to “attendance liaison” at a local public high school. One is listed on campaign records as an executive at a mutual fund.
The Paws’ political donations closely track donations made by Norman Hsu, a wealthy New York businessman in the apparel industry who once listed the Paw home as his address, according to public records. Mr. Hsu is one of the top fund-raisers for Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign. He has hosted or co-hosted some of her most prominent money-raising events.
People who answered the phone and the door at the Paws’ residence declined requests for comment last week. In an email last night, one of the Paws’ sons, Winkle, said he had sometimes been asked by Mr. Hsu to make contributions, and sometimes he himself had asked family members to donate. But he added: “I have been fortunate in my investments and all of my contributions have been my money.” . . .
The Paw family is just one set of donors whose political donations are similar to Mr. Hsu’s. Several business associates of Mr. Hsu in New York have made donations to the same candidates, on the same dates for similar amounts as Mr. Hsu.
On four separate dates this year, the Paw family, Mr. Hsu and five of his associates gave Mrs. Clinton a total of $47,500. In all, the family, Mr. Hsu and his associates have given Mrs. Clinton $133,000 since 2005 and a total of nearly $720,000 to all Democratic candidates.
The Paw’s Daly City home is a one-story house in a working-class suburb of San Francisco. On a recent day, a coiled garden hose rested next to a dilapidated garden with a half-dozen dried out plants. The din of traffic from a nearby freeway was occasionally drowned out by jumbo jets departing San Francisco International Airport.

Paw Family Home: Mansion of Hillary Fat Cat Donors?

William and Alice Paw are of Chinese descent. The entire family got their Social Security cards in California in 1982, according to state records. All but one of the Paws registered to vote as “nonpartisan.” A San Mateo County elections official said that members of the Paw family vote “sporadically.”
No one in the Paw family had ever given a campaign contribution before the 2004 presidential election, according to campaign-finance reports. Then, in July 2004, five members of the family contributed a total of $3,600 to the presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry, the Massachusetts Democrat. Five of the checks were dated July 27, 2004. About the same time, Mr. Hsu made his first donations to a political candidate, contributing the maximum amount allowed by law to Mr. Kerry in two separate checks, on July 21, 2004, and on Aug. 6.
From then on, the correlation of campaign donations between Mr. Hsu and the Paw family has continued. The first donations to Mrs. Clinton came Dec. 23, 2004, when Mr. Hsu and one Paw family member donated the then-maximum $4,000 to her Senate campaign in two $2,000 checks, campaign-finance records show. In March 2005, the individuals gave a total of $17,500 to Mrs. Clinton.

HMMMM . . . .

What You Can’t Have on Your Vanity Plates

By
I don’t have vanity license plates and think those that do are ticket-magnets for police. I have enough people gunning for me already. And sometimes I wonder about the people who get them, like the time a guy in a little old beater drove by with “REDNINJA.” He was a little old man who must’ve been in his seventies. Looked like a Russian immigrant, too. Thus, the “RED” part.

But there are plenty of names you can’t have on your license plates. The Detroit Free Press reports that in Michigan–and it’s probably similar in other states–that includes: DOGPOOP, H8BUSH, SMOKPOT, BLOODS, COCAINE, 1KILL4U (for obvious reasons), AL-QAIDA, and 38DD (that means you, strippers and other silicone implantees). You also can’t have ARAFAT, ATYSSUC (Why? I hate lawyers, too, and I am one), OLDFART, HITLER, KKK, and I8ABMW (Why? The Fat Lobby will be up in arms about that). Ditto for C9H13N (chemical for Meth), REDRUM (If you saw “The Shining,” you know why), XR8D, DIM3B4G, and H8.
Oh, and by the way, the anti-lawyer plates? Those are banned because . . .? Well, in a separate article, the Freep reports that

A handful of attorneys and lawyers [DS: redundant?] who work for the Secretary of State make the final decision on what plates are approved or denied.

But MDSSUC? Maybe that still goes, though they say they don’t approve “direct hateful language toward a person or group.”
The Freep article gives more details on what you can and can’t have on your vanity plates in Michigan. Again, I would bet other states have similar rules. But I await the day that some Muslim files a First Amendment case in court because he can’t have AL-QAEDA, HAMAS, JEWSSUK, or BOMBUSA plates.
And he’ll probably win.
****
WhyFor has an interesting photo gallery of vanity plates from across North America and a list of Vanity Plates seen in Ontario, Canada.

Guess What? Less Citizens with Guns = More Crime

By

The Small Arms Survey–an annual Geneva, Switzerland-based study about guns in circulation–backs up Second Amendment advocates (like me). It shows that more gun ownership correlates with lower crime rates in a country.
The study reports that civilians across the globe own 650 million small arms, 75% of all guns in circulation.

Glock: Defense Mechanism of Choice (Ruger’s Good, Too)

While Americans have the highest percentage and number of guns per capita (270 million–or 9 guns for every ten Americans), that’s a good thing. Keith Krause, director of the Small Arms Survey, cited low gun ownership and high crime rates in Latin American countries as dispelling the myth that guns and high crime rates/violence go together.

“There’s no clear relationship between more guns and higher levels of violence,” Krause said . . . . He said studies had shown that gun violence often occurred in places undergoing rapid urban growth.

Amen to that.

Midweek Box Office: “Balls of Fury” is More Silly Than Funny

By
Sometimes a movie is so dumb, it’s funny. That’s not the case with “Balls of Fury“. Some of the time, it’s funny and entertaining. But most of the time it’s dumb and groanworthy. An okay, mildly amusing “B” movie at best, the “Fury” is part Chinese karate-style movie, part “Karate Kid,” and a whole lot of silliness.

“Fury” is about Randy Daytona–a child ping-pong, er . . . table tennis prodigy who loses the big match at the Olympics. His pushy Marine father is killed by a Chinese mobster, Feng (Christopher Walken in a wig, complete with Brooklyn accent), over a bet he made on his son. Years later, the child prodigy is a fat, aging lounge act at a third-rate Vegas Casino.
But then he’s recruited by lame FBI agent George Lopez (who seems and acts way too much like real-life incompetent ICE official John Torres) to get back in the ping-pong game, so he can help the FBI get Feng. First, the former ping-pong champ trains in L.A. Chinatown with a blind Chinese restarateur and his hot, phenom daugher (Maggie Q), to get back in fighting ping-pong shape. Then Daytona gets invited to Feng’s exclusive, prestigious annual ping-pong tournament in luxe digs. He must win the tournament to survive and also help the FBI agent expose Feng.
Overall, somewhat entertaining. But it’s sometimes winceworthy, with gags about FBI tracking devices being hidden in anal crevices. Not funny.
Question: How much did Def Leppard get for product placement throughout the movie? And the group is all over the soundtrack, too.
Oh, and by the way, I didn’t design the phallic, overtly suggestive movie poster (above), so no e-mails on that, please.

EXCLUSIVE: Top Muslim Brotherhood/HAMAS Official Infiltrated NASA, Now Iraqi Ambassador to Japan; ICE/DoJ Ties

By
**** EXCLUSIVE – MUST CITE and link to (That Means You, , , and Steven Emerson) ****
A telephone directory is the most interesting exhibit in the ongoing federal trial against officials of a charity accused of being a HAMAS fundraising entity.
It’s evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrated NASA and now has a part in Iraq’s post-Saddam government.

Ghanim Al-Jumaily, (Left) Top Muslim Brotherhood Official Infiltrated NASA, Had Top Fed Friends; Now Iraqi Ambassador to Japan

During recent testimony at the ongoing trial, an FBI agent testified that operatives of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development were part of the Muslim Brotherhood’s efforts to infiltrate the United States on behalf of HAMAS.
An exhibit introduced during her testimony is a 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document outlining the organizations goals in America, via HAMAS, as “a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”
Along with that document, Special Agent Lara Burns authenticated a . It listed the names and numbers of the Muslim Brotherhood leadership in the United States. Among the fifteen names listed as “Members of the Board of Directors” is “G. Aljumaily.”
With the help of private investigator Bill Warner (who’s done a great deal of ground-breaking investigations of Islamic terrorism), I’ve confirmed that the phone number listed is that of Dr. Ghanim Al-Jumaily.
That’s significant because Al-Jumaily worked at the highest levels of NASA as a jet propulsion engineer on the Mars Rover Team and in that capacity had high-level security clearances and access to classified information. And he’s now Iraq’s Ambassador to Japan, a post he’s held since late 2004.
In the Muslim Brotherhood directory, Al-Jumaily is listed as being in charge of the Iraq Committee for the American branch of the Brotherhood. Whether that means he was in charge of propaganda in favor of then-Saddam-controlled Iraq or raising money for Hussein is unclear.
Regardless, as chief of the Detroit-area Islamic charity, LIFE For Relief and Development (a charity , both in the New York Post and ) for over a decade, Al-Jumaily performed both services and helped fund the Brotherhood’s HAMAS division. In the late 1990s LIFE–America’s largest Islamic charity–openly declared on its federal tax forms that it sent millions to a group the FBI identified as HAMAS’ Jordanian operation. In 2002, Jumaily and LIFE organized the trip for three anti-war U.S. Congressmen to go to Iraq to meet with Saddam Hussein and see his version of the country just months before the U.S. invasion. (The trip was paid for by Shakir Alkhafaji, the only American named in the oil-for-food scandal that has not been prosecuted.)
And the presence of Jumaily on the Brotherhood’s American board confirms what has long been known: that the Brotherhood is part of Al-Qaeda and should be put on the State Department terrorist list. LIFE’s founding resident agent is tied to Al-Qaeda, and one of its former employees, Abdel-Jabbar Hamdan, is also tied to terrorists. The charity is believed to be a major funder of Al-Qaeda insurgents in Iraq, one of the reasons the U.S. Army raided its Iraq offices in 2004 and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force raided its Michigan offices, last September. Under Al-Jumaily’s leadership, LIFE held several private fundraisers, including one in Los Angeles, where officials implied that the money would go to “more Fallujahs.” The keynote speaker at the fundraiser was Wagdi Mohammed Ghoneim, an Islamic cleric who has since been deported because of his meetings with two of the 9/11 hijackers.
But Al-Jumaily didn’t just carry out fundraising for the Brotherhood and aid Saddam Hussein. He helped spread propaganda and gain access to top public officials. Under Al-Jumaily’s direction, LIFE spokesman Mohammed Alomari wrote a book alleging the United States was created by the Jews as a Zionist plot. His website claimed Jews and the U.S. “organized” the 9/11 attacks. And Al-Jumaily had access to government officials at the highest levels. Top FBI, ICE and Justice Department officials repeatedly broke pita with him.
That includes current (a Bush Federal Court of Appeals nominee), past Bush U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Collins, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent in Charge for Michigan/Ohio, , and several FBI Special Agents in Charge. Of more concern, is the tight relationship between these individuals and American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee official, , an FBI award revokee and “former” Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Terrorist. As I’ve repeatedly documented on this site, Hamad works very closely with LIFE. His ADC lay President is LIFE’s General Counsel, and Hamad was credited with getting LIFE USAID accreditation and money. Hamad and LIFE officials went on several trips to Syria and Lebanon together, which officials suspect were trips involving money-laundering for terrorists.

Then-US Attorney Jeffrey Collins (center) w/LIFE Officials Muthanna Al-Hanooti, Imad Hamad, unidentified person, and Mohammed Alomari

Now it’s clear that Hamad is a top associate of–and working in concert with–the Muslim Brotherhood’s and HAMAS’ U.S. operation. Will Feds finally stay away from him? Unfortunately, don’t count on it.
When the new Iraqi government announced its appointment of Al-Jumaily to an ambassadorship, Shi’ite Muslims protested outside LIFE’s offices. They maintained that Al-Jumaily was a puppet of Hussein and helped fund the murders of their relatives.
But now we know, he was far more than that–a high-ranking member of the Muslim Brotherhood. And he helped carry out its “grand jihad [against] Western civilization.”

More Bad News: Another DHS Failure Gets into AG Candidate Mix

By
Remember Asa Hutchinson, the Republican from Clinton Country?
Most Department of Homeland Security agents and other employees would rather forget him. As DHS Undersecretary for Border and Transportation Security, he was a big failure. Borders and transportation became less secure–NOT more–under Hutchinson. But he did get the Islamist Pander-Bear thing down pat. He was frequently seen at Hezbollah-financing La Shish restaurant in Dearbornistan, breaking pita with the most extremist Muslims (and kissing their butts). That includes a “former” Islamic terrorist and two known current agents of Hezbollah. And Hutchinson was a big zero at the DEA (which he headed before his DHS tenure), too.

Asa Hutchinson: Millionaire Incompetent Might Be Next Bush AG

While in his DHS position, here’s the “wisdom” he infused into the agency:

Eliminating the fear of deportation will be an incentive. Undocumented aliens will tell you they often have trouble sleeping at night, and leaving for work each day, not knowing if they will make it home at the end of the day.

That was in Hutchinson’s written answers to Senate questions posed to him in late 2004.
You want this guy back in any office? Sadly, he may be the next chief law enforcement officer in the nation.
Now, he’s entered into the mix of candidates for Lame Duck Bush Attorney General, a number of mainstream media sources are reporting. The Bush Administration doesn’t want to have two confirmation battles (for Chertoff and has replacement), so they may go with a non-sitting incompetent instead of one that is already sitting pretty (Michael “Serpenthead” Chertoff).
Lucky us. I will remember the Bush Administration for exactly this kind of thing: recycling incompetent retread Friends of W and failing to live up to the challenges of 9/11 and Islamism.
Asa Hutchinson is yet another poster child for that.
