Finally, some great movies at the box office.  Three great movies and only one stinker.  It figures that the “adult” movie by a Hitler-supporting Jew-hater is the only bomb in the bunch.

*  “Hugo“:  Finally a 3D movie that should be in 3D.  Martin Scorsese directed this visually stunning and terrific story.  You’ll love this, and it’s great for families.  Kids will love it, but so will adults, as I did.  But you’ll  have to disregard that two of the co-stars are Sacha Baron Cohen and the actively anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian Ben Kingsley.

Set in 1930s Paris, Hugo is a young orphan who fixes the clocks at a train station.  Unbeknownst to everyone, he lives alone in a hidden apartment inside the station’s clock tower.  He and his father used to fix clocks, but his father was killed in a fire.  Hugo and his father were trying to fix a mechanical robot, and Hugo continues to fix it, using parts he steals from the train station toy shop of an old man (Kingsley).  Soon, though, he gets caught by the man and is forced to fix toys at the store, while he tries to get back his notebook about how to fix the mechanical robot, which the shopkeeper takes from him.  But he meets the man’s granddaughter (Chloe Grace Moretz), and she and Hugo become fast friends, sneaking into movies and poring over books at a the train station’s used bookstore because of their shared love of reading classic books. Most of you probably saw or heard about Newt Gingrich’s amnesty approach to illegal aliens in our midst.  He not only endorsed amnesty, but encouraged anchor babyhood, saying we shouldn’t split up families, which is a liberal sympathy the illegal aliens who conceive anchor babies are counting on. I warned you about Newt’s immigration policy, last week. Notice that, while Gingrich openly spoke out against separating families from their children born in the U.S. (children the parents can take with them–no one is separating anyone, it’s a choice), Gingrich didn’t say he supports ending birthright citizenship, which would end this hollow, phony argument.

It’s no different from Barack Obama’s immigration policy  . . . and worse than George W. Bush’s policy (Bush wisely never whined about breaking up families of illegal aliens).  I’m going to make a prediction:  his embrace of illegal alien amnesty and “path to citizenship” baloney will cause him to drop in the polls.  Sadly, he won’t drop enough.

We are just weeks away from the first primaries and caucuses, and Newt is dangerous.  He’s got many of the same views as Barack Obama.  Both are tight with racist bigot Al Sharpton, both support Obamacare (and Newt opposes Republican efforts to end it, endorsing a bond for those who don’t buy health insurance), both support immigration amnesty for illegal aliens, both believe in global warming BS, both supported using U.S. firepower to overthrow Qaddafi and make Libya an Al-Qaeda state, and both are dangerously tight with anti-Israel Muslims (Gingrich is tight with Jihad Grover Norquist, the architect of Bush’s non-stop pandering to Muslims).  Today’s Newt Gingrich is barely different from John McCain in terms of his positions on the issues.  And he’s not different enough from Barack Obama, which was part of McCain’s problem. Hey, there is now an American version of Occupy Cairo, and it involves idiotic, non-Muslim Americans involved in Muslim violence in Egypt.

Has America learned from the price we paid–in millions of dollars and years of wasted “diplomacy”–for the three America-hating “American hikers” in Iran?  I bet not.  And I predict that we will waste more money and efforts to secure the freedom of three spoiled “American” brats who deserve to rot–Derrik Sweeney, Luke Gates, and Gregory Porter, all of whom are no different than Islamic terrorists.  The three were arrested by Egyptian police for throwing firebombs from a rooftop onto Egyptian security forces trying to quell Cairo’s latest demonstration of why Muslims need a brutal dictator to rule them. If we were smart, we’d send a message to other Americans seeking to do this and let these three rot in the paradise of an Egyptian jail.

Derrik Sweeney, a 19-year-old Georgetown University student from Jefferson City, Mo., was arrested along with Luke Gates, a 21-year-old Indiana University student from Bloomington, Ind., and Gregory Porter, a 19-year-old Drexel University student from Glenside, Pa.

Ah, so that’s what closeted gay Palestinian terrorists-in-chief with AIDS do for enjoyment:  they watch “Tom & Jerry.”  That’s what late Fatah/P.L.O. leader Yasser Arafat did in his spare time when he wasn’t busy blowin’ up the JOOOOOS.  And who says Palestinians don’t have class and culture!  The cartoon addiction is one of the many hilarious musings of Suha Arafat, beard to Yasser, in an interview she gave to A-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper.

The interview is an effort at damage control and public relations, now that the Tunisians are going after her to get their slice of American and Israeli moolah she and Al-Frogface stole.  You see, the Tunisians–who for decades welcomed Yasser and the P.L.O. gang to headquarter their terrorist group in Tunis–are now going after Suha, phony bride of Yasser, claiming she ripped them off of millions in funds to feed her extravagant lifestyle.  They’ve issued a warrant for her arrest.  But the people from whom she really stole–the Israelis and Americans who gave millions in aid to the Palestinians, all of which went to line Yasser’s and Suha’s pockets–will never go after her for the money.  They don’t have the cojones.  (I wonder how much of that money went to her close friend and  reported former longtime hairdresser Farouk Shami, owner of CHI and Farouk Systems.  They are from the same hometown and tight.) The Tunisians–who never gave the Arafats a cent–have bigger testicles than ever, seeking a piece of the pie that America and Israel baked for the Palestinians and which was gobbled by not-so-halal Suha.  While she used to live in chic Paris, she now lives in yet another backward nation that is largely Arabic, Malta.

Also, Suha tells us that Yasser tried to teach Zahwa–the daughter he could only have fathered through artificial insemination–to use a gun and train for the life of a terrorist bigot at age three.  How touching.  Cue the Minnie Riperton, “Loving You,” tune. I told you this would happen.

Let’s hear it for the “civilized” “liberal democrats [small “l,” small “d”] that Barack Obama ushered into power in Libya.  They captured Qaddafi son, Seif Al-Islam, and already chopped off three of his fingers.  But don’t pay attention to that because Barack Obama and the Wall Street Journal’s favorite Shi’ite, Fouad Ajami, say the new “Springtime for Arabs” Libyans are like Patrick Henry, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson.

Yup, these “freedom-loving democrats” already chopped off  his fingers, will probably sodomize him endlessly.  But, no worries, they are the “new Libyans” who will give him a fair trial.  So, what was it they were telling us about Muammar Qaddafi being a barbarian?  This is civilized? Aren’t ya glad billions in American firepower was used to hand over Libya to these wonderful “Jeffersonian” Muslim savages? And you think America’s Muslims are different from the Libyan ones because . . . ? Newsflash: they ain’t no different.

The print edition of today’s Wall Street Journal features a section on its “CEO Council,” a gathering in which the Journal assembled “nearly 100 chief executives of large companies” to discuss major issues facing business, government, and the economy.  And one of those “chief executives of large companies” was  . . . has-been, left-wing actress Geena Davis?  Huh?

Of what “large company” is Davis a chief executive?  None.  But she founded a silly feminist non-profit organization, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, to whine that women don’t get enough equal time on TV.  I’m not sure which TV she’s talking about, since there are plenty of shows, from every girl show on Nickelodeon to “Cougartown” to the various Kardashian shows to “Jersey Shore” to “Revenge” to “The Good Wife,” to the various “Law and Order” shows all over TV, all dominated by women.  And I’m also not sure how she gets that women don’t have equal time, since most shows feature either absentee fathers or–when they are present–dads who are louts, incompetent, stupid, and cheating.  But the vacant Davis complains, “We are showing kids a really almost ’50s version of society.”  Really?  If only.  Hey, wasn’t she on some dumb, failed show about the first female President? Didn’t it get canceled after just a few episodes because no one wanted to watch this man-hater pipe dream?  Also, I guess she missed that movie called, “Thelma and Louise” (even though she poorly acted in it) . . . and all the unbelievable female superhero and kick-butt movies after that.

I’ve written about Davis and her dumb organization before (here and here). The name of the group has changed from the “See Jane Foundation,” but the BS is the same.  It’s sad that the Wall Street Journal presents this moronette girl power pimp as some sort of major American business leader.  But here’s her discussion with the Wall Street Journal and the CEOs of what she sees as THE major problem facing our country and economy today, which goes to show how out of touch these Hollywood bims truly are–worse than we’ve earlier diagnosed, with no cure in sight:

Everybody knows that in Hollywood, there are fewer interesting parts for women, and female characters are sexualized a lot. But what I didn’t know until I had a daughter and started watching G-rated movies with her was that we are showing kids a really almost ’50s version of society where there are far fewer female characters, and the ones that are there are highly stereotyped. As you probably heard over the weekend, the NYPD arrested Islamic terrorist, Jose Pimentel a/k/a Muhammad Yusuf, a convert from the Dominican Republic who planned to bomb U.S. soldiers, post offices, and police stations.  He’d already taken steps to make the bombs, buying the supplies at Home Depot and elsewhere, and he ran an Islamic hate site from his apartment.  He also tried to contact the late Anwar Al-Awlaki, the Islamic cleric who inspired many similar plots by American Muslims against their fellow Americans.  But, per usual, the FBI–Famous But Incompetent and Forever Buttkissing Islam–declined to investigate Pimentel/Yusuf and claimed he wasn’t a threat.  Hey, where have we heard that one before?

This is more evidence that, despite Muslim protests, the NYPD investigations of the Islamic community are working and stopping them from killing more Americans in New York City (for now).  The problem is that most of us in the rest of America don’t have an NYPD.  Instead, we must rely on the FBI, which ignores danger like this.  Oh, and while you read this, note that there is the usual terrorist’s neighbor who says, “But he was such a swell guy.”  Uh-huh.  Sure, he was. Also, we get the usual “lone wolf” BS we always get with Islamic terrorists in our midst. Um, none of these guys are lone wolves. What they, in fact, are: loyal Muslims following the natural progression of their religion’s directives against the rest of us. That’s not the phenomenon of a “lone wolf.” It’s acting in concert with 1.8 billion fellow believers and moral supporters around the world, many of them on U.S. soil.

Federal authorities declined to pursue a case against an “al-Qaida sympathizer” accused of wanting to bomb police stations and post offices in New York City because they believed he was mentally unstable and incapable of pulling off the alleged plot, two law enforcement officials said Monday. I’m not into most of the new movies, this weekend.  I also added my reviews of “Tower Heist” and “Dream House,” since I didn’t post those previously:

*  “The Twilight Saga:  Breaking Dawn – Part 1“:  Ick. Ick, ick, ick.  I hate these “Twilight” movies, which are always the same thing:  two girliemen with sculpted abs–one, a vampire, and the other, a werewolf–fighting over the most sullen chick around, Bella.  And they are always the same audience:  some screaming, fawning teen and tween girls and way too many middle-aged cougar women wanting to play Jerry Sandusky to the teen- and twenty-something guys in the movie.  Oy.  Two years ago, I wrote about how these women creep me out and are as sick as middle-aged men fawning over young girls (and boys) are.  Read my column on that matter, as now–a few years later–the rest of the pop culture critiqueratti has caught on to (and repeated) my point.  Also, this morning, on my regular Friday Morning movie reviews on the SiriusXM Patriot Channel “Mike Church Show,” I told Mike that these women are the female Sanduskys, and he shortened it to Sandusky-ettes.  Spot on.

Then, there’s the issue of abuse of women.  The story of this long, boring, cheesy, silver screen version of a “Lifetime” movie with vampires, is that the human girl, Bella, marries Edward, gets pregnant on their honeymoon, and the baby vampire is quickly growing inside and killing her.  At the honeymoon, since her new hubby vampire gets violent when he has sex with humans and wants to bite them and drink their blood, he cannot restrain himself, and Bella wakes up with bruises all over her body from the sexual experiences.  Yup, just what you want your teen and tween to dream about:  waking up with bruises from her boyfriend or husband.  Dreamy, isn’t it? Although I’m not a licensed investment adviser, I think  it’s safe to say there are a few things in which it’s probably NOT a good idea to invest your money:  MCI, Circuit City, Syms, Borders Bookstores, Oprah Diet Mints, the Penn State Child Welfare Services Corporation, and the Palestine Exchange (the Palestinian stock market).  But New York investment firm Auerbach Grayson & Co. is betting on huge pension funds and other institutional investors from America executing trades with the people of Arafat and blown up pizza joints.  My best advice:  buy low on explosives, sell high the next day (if you still have arms)!  I’d also advise investing in any new chain of Palestinian nosejob mills and mustache grooming material producers.  Most Palestinians are a great target demographic for at least one of those two services, and for many both of them.

The thing is, while you probably wouldn’t choose to invest with the people of HAMAS and hummus halitosis, you might not have a choice.  Your pension fund managers might invest your hard-earned pension money with the Palestinians and their lack of civilization.  And that’s something you should watch out for.  Auerbach Grayson is seeking their, er . . . your, money though those pensions. The firm says it’s seeking investors with a minimum of $100 million to invest. That’s a lot of blown up coffee shops and bars. By the way, I can’t wait until Al-Occupy Palestinian Wall Street begins! Also, don’t forget: Camel . . . it tastes like chicken.

I’m not sure why the whole ad world and every mainstream news source are buzzing about the latest Benetton “Unhate” ads, which feature several photoshopped images of allegedly opposite world leaders kissing.  If Benetton was really “edgy” and looking to roil the masses, it would have shown Mohammed kissing RuPaul or Elton John or a two Muslim women in hijabs making out.  (And even more accurate ad would be Mohammed making out with Hitler.)  But you’ll never see either of those, because Benetton isn’t as edgy as it claims, and it would never choose to offend Muslims, only Jews and Christians.  The company had no problem over the years showing, for example, a Catholic priest making out with a nun.  But, like I said, you won’t see any such images meant to offend Muslims.  Only everyone else is fair game.

One of the ads features the current Pope kissing Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayeb of Cairo, Egypt’s Al-Azhar University.  The Vatican is upset, but as I’ve noted on my site in many instances over the years, the Vatican and its many Popes have kissed the ass of Islam repeatedly over the years, constantly attacking Israel and mostly looking the other way as Islam persecutes Christians in nearly every Muslim nation.  As I’ve pointed out, even the Catholic Church’s soup kitchens near the Vatican only serve halal food so as not to offend Muslims.  There’s something appealing about truth in advertising.  But a more truthful advertisement would have been the Pope kissing Mohammed.
