The Saturday edition of the Wall Street Journal usually has an entire section of columns, book reviews, and other such stuff.  Some of the columnists, like Joe Queenan, are interesting, funny, and/or entertaining.  Others, like feminist Holly Finn, are just utterly moronic.  Ms. Finn previously told us that because the maid in the now-unraveled Dominique Strauss-Kahn case was a “devout Muslim,” we must believe her phony rape allegations against DSK and should also feel sorry for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s maid (who slept her way into a nice house and life).  But the best was this past week, when Finn called American parents who don’t want to give their nine-year-old girls the HPV vaccine (Gardasil), “the new prudes,” and said they should do it because 40-year-old Muslim men forcibly marry 11-year-old girls.  HUH????  Oh, and no worries, she didn’t use the word Muslim because, ya know, that would offend Muslims.  (No surprise that Finn is your typical limousine liberal, who went to a fancy boarding school.)  Don’t you just love this “sharia fiat by feminist capitulation?”

Let’s put this in perspective. I’ve just seen a wedding portrait of Faiz Mohammed, 40, and Ghulam Haider, 11, in rural Afghanistan. He is turbaned, tanned, manly. She looks like a dazed girl scout, wrapped in a pretty pink shawl. When Miss Haider was asked how she felt that day, she said: “I do not know this man. Every year, the American President lights a menorah on Chanukah at the White House (that’s “Hanukah” to the ignorant secular Jews who voted for the guy and can’t pronounce Hebrew words).  The key phrase is “on Chanukah.”  But not Barack Obama, not this year.  Nope.  He “celebrated” the Jewish holiday two weeks early, tonight.  Huh?  Hmmm . . . funny, I don’t seem to recall the Ramadan Iftar dinners he hosted for Muslim NFL players and Dearbornistan high school football coaches taking place  two weeks before Ramadan.  Because that would be an insult to Muslims and Islam, and he goes out of his way to make sure to pander to every single detail when it comes to them, the fellow co-religionists of his father and most of his family.  But when it comes to the Judeo-Christian holidays of a Judeo-Christian nation, there’s no problem insulting the evil JOOOOOOS.  Normally, as I’ve said repeatedly on this site before, the President lighting Chanukah candles isn’t important to me, especially if his policies toward Israel are unMaccabean. What he does in foreign policy is more important than lame, staged attempts to show he’s down wit’ da Jewish struggle in a very cubic zirconium way.  This is on top of his non-kosher Passover stunt Seder.  Do ya think he’d host a Ramadan Iftar dinner that wasn’t halal?  Puh-leeze.

But this is truly an insult, and it’s deliberate.  Obama knows what he’s doing. So do his scheduling staffers.  They know when Chanukah is (sunset December 20th through nightfall December 28th), and they just don’t care.  Obama simply can’t be bothered to show any respect to the Jewish people. Despite telling FOX News’ Bill O’Reilly that the global warming PSA he (Gingrich) did with then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was “one of the dumbest things I’ve done in recent years,” Gingrich will go back to endorsing the “climate change” BS . . . after the 2012 Presidential election.  Timing is everything, and Gingrich will release his latest global warming book–a sequel to his 2007 “A Contract With the Earth”–when he no longer has to face voter scrutiny.  Here are the details–sound like a conservative to you?:

Don’t worry about the Muslim Brotherhood.  Why not?  Well, New York Times columnist and ass(French)kisser of all things Islamic, Nicholas Kristof, says so.  And why not trust Kristof?  After all, he’s the same guy who, for years, pleaded with us that Sami Al-Arian, the founder and worldwide chief of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, was an innocent man.  Despite the fact that Al-Arian was caught talking in surveillance about how “the merger with the brothers in HAMAS is almost complete” and helped bring Islamic terrorist after Islamic terrorist to the country while raising money for bus bombings, Kristof told us that Sami was an okay guy.

 

 

NYTimes’ Nicholas Kristof Hearts the Muslim BrotherhoodSo I guess I should take his word–after he had dinner with a Muslim Brotherhood chick–that this is a nice group.  No biggie that this is the organization from which HAMAS, Yasser Arafat, and Al-Qaeda all emanated.  I mean, these things are all irrelevant, when you consider Kristof’s dinner with Sondos Asem, the woman who runs the Muslim Brotherhood’s English language Twitter feed.  No way she’s an extremist because, hey, she’s young (only 24 years old, and terrorists are never 24, right?), “speaks perfect English” (so did Mohammed Atta), and “is writing a master’s thesis on social media” (um, Munich Olympic terrorist massacre paymaster Mahmoud Abbas wrote a Ph.D. thesis, so he has one up on her).  Yes, someone with those credentials would never support, say, the slaughter of Jews and Christians, or bombing people in pizza parlors.  Nor would Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who went to grad school in North Carolina.  Right?

More of this laughable, utter BS, from this foolish NY Times pig–and note that whenever some liberal pseudo-intellectual talks down to you, telling you something is “far more complex,” it’s actually quite simple. He’s simply making organic fertilizer, such as this:

Leave it to the United Nations to blame some cockamamie, imagined spread of polio on the United States and our assassination of Osama Bin Laden.  Leave it to the Wall Street Journal to give it credence and report on it. Because, ya know, the imagined danger to the lives and health of a few terrorist-supporting Pakistanis is far more important than the lives of thousands of Americans that Bin Laden and his Al-Qaeda mass murdered.  It’s quite ridiculous, but as one might expect, the United Nations certainly has the market cornered on the absurd. Uh, there’s a reason–many of them–why Pakistan is one of the last bastions where polio hasn’t been mostly eradicated.

And it has nothing to do with the U.S. or with the allegation that a local doctor got DNA confirmation from the Bin Ladens by allegedly using hepatitis B vaccines as a cover story. It has everything to do with the fact that Pakistan is far too busy looking for ways to hate America and aid its enemies than care for its own people and finally emerge from the 7th Century. Oh, and by the way, UNICEF–an openly anti-Western, pro-Muslim waste of American tax contributions to the UN–can go to hell along with Bin Laden. You’ll note from the excerpt, below, that the UNICEF creep is whining about a drop in vaccinations for one month. That’s it.

Note the real cause here–Islamic clerics who constantly rehearse conspiracy theory canards to their Muslim followers: that the Westerners “want to sterilize us” and other similar BS. That’s not the fault of America. That’s Islam. And, don’t forget, that the GOP–when Newt Gingrich controlled the U.S. House–could have defunded the U.N., but Newt chose to ignore that promise like so many others, once he was elected speaker.

It’s official:  the British legal system is now the sharia legal system.  I’ve already told you how UK judges allow vandalism and other crimes against companies that trade with Israel.  Now, it’s worse.  The Kingdom’s judges look for BS Muslim excuses to free Muslim women who kicked another woman’s head in.  Even when Muslims engage in violent attacks against non-Muslims, after violating Islamic bans against drinking, the judges find an Islamic reason to excuse their violence–not being used to alcohol. And get this: the a-hole judge also said that the women needed to be violent to react to the woman’s boyfriend who was trying to defend her from their attacks. HUH???? This is outrageous. But this is what happens when Western authorities pander to Islam. Not just in Great Britain, but right here in America, too. THIS. IS. ISLAM.

How bad is political correctness?  So bad that you can no longer trust your dictionary to give you an accurate, uncompromised definition of a word.  So bad, that the American Heritage Dictionary changed its definition of “anchor baby” to please the illegal alien/open borders crowd.  Last week, the open borders crowd whined over the definition of “anchor baby,” and within a day–presto change-o!–American Heritage Executive Editor Steven Kleinedler capitulated and changed the meaning to their liking.  Hmmm . . . I wonder if Mr. Kleinedler’s relatives were Frenchmen in WWII. Yup, your dictionary now comes “complete” with editorial comment from the left.

ABC News is pimping Barbara Walters’ interview with Bashar Assad as “tough” on him, and the press is eating it up.  But, in fact, Baba Wawa was quite soft on him, didn’t press Assad much, and didn’t disclose how she  has become good friends with the Assads, vacationing with them over July 4, 2008, as I pointed out on this site, making her far less than an objective, impartial interviewer.  And this morning on ABC’s yenta hag-fest, “The View,” she and her fellow View hags defended her Assad friends as well-educated people who look like they belong in the Hamptons and praised Asma Assad, like much of the slobbering groupthink mainstream media does, for having lived and worked here, etc.  So what?  All of the 19 Al-Qaeda hijackers lived here.  Some of the most despotic Middle East leaders are the finest dressers, far better than those who live in the Hamptons.  Does that make them any less disgusting, any less human rights abusers?  Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was educated here.  Didn’t seem to stop him from orchestrating the 9/11 attacks or slitting Daniel Pearl’s throat. Wawa praises the Assads as “intelligent, thoughtful, lovely.”  So, only dummies are bad people, and human rights abusers who host HAMAS and Nazi war criminals are okay if they are “lovely?”

As readers know, I oppose our intervention in Syria, unless there was a way–and there isn’t–to guarantee that the replacement of the Assads’ reign wouldn’t be Al-Qaeda or the Muslim Brotherhood as is the case, respectively, in Libya and Egypt, AND that the replacement was a pro-U.S., pro-Western government. But Barbara Walter’s pandering to the Assads is nauseating.  As I’ve repeatedly pointed out over the years, Syria is a terrorist state, so designated by the State Department, because it gladly hosts HAMAS, Islamic Jihad, and a variety of other terrorist groups.  And it works closely with Iran and Hezbollah.  That’s not to mention that Syria gives safe sanction to Nazi war criminals, like Alois Brunner, and those who committed the Munich massacre, like Jamil Al-Gashey.  You can bet Wawa didn’t ask her “intelligent, thoughtful, lovely” friend, Bashar Al-Assad, about that.  Because, hey, intelligent, thoughtful, lovely people would never do such things, right?  Wawa also makes sure to call Assad, “the young President.”  Um, he’s 46–not so young.  But what does “young” have to do with the price of tea in China?  Does being young make one more humane and change the fact that he helps Islamic terrorists blow up innocent people?  Or that he hosts Nazi murderers?

Watch these two videos, below.  The first is Wawa defending the Assads and soft-pedaling them to “The View’s” airheaded audience.  The second is an excerpt of her interview with the Assads, which doesn’t include the pro-Assad background report I’m told will go along with the full interview when it’s broadcast.  I’m also told the rest of the interview, which we haven’t been shown, isn’t so tough. There’s a reason the Assads picked their vacation buddy, Walters, for this gig. Seventy years ago today, on December 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. 2,459 U.S. military personnel and other Americans were killed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. 1,178 American servicemen were wounded. 12 ships were sunk or beached, 9 damaged. We lost 164 aircraft to total destruction, and 159 others were damaged.

Until then, America hadn’t really entered World War II. They attacked us. Just like all the many attacks in which the replacement “they”–Islamic terrorists and the vast majority of the Islamic world that cheers them on–have attacked us, and not just on 9/11/01, but well before and after. On 9/11, President Bush wrote in his diary, “The Pearl Harbor of the 21st century took place today.” But he did not fight the enemy the way American did post-Pearl Harbor.
